Made in the U.S., for multivox corp. Best I can figure made in the 60's. Laminated top, two single coil p/u's. Funny, saw a picture of this model in a vintage guitar guide, but they had no listing on it, just a picture. Reminds me of an Ibanez George Benson model. I've read the other review, he ain't talking about my guitar. Been playing since 73'. Seen lots of guitars, hustled used guitars to Austin music stores, and now work in a music store, the point is, I like this guitar.

Sound : 7
Just got it from ebay, yesterday. It needs some work, in that it came with the wrong bridge (fixed that already) and the bridge p/u sounds kinda weak. Neck and middle position sound great. I play blues and a cross between smooth jazz and r&b. With its small bout, it feels just right. I have an old Sano amp, Sovtek mig 60, Fender Blues jr. and an old 50's Orpheum [(I think; no name but. 2x6l6's 2x12au7's 2x12ax7's and a 15 inch speaker; tonemonster!!). By the way all my amps are totally tube powered. It's glass or nothing for me.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Guitar was shipped from the factory a long time ago. Took it to my tech, said it looks well done. SOmeone refinished it before I got it so I can't say much about the finish the new finish is okay.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I'm pretty easy on my guitars, not quite anal but I don't beat them much. I gig with six different guitars so none get much abuse.
everything seems like it stand normal gigging. NIce fast neck, just strung it with d'adario's 11's.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know they stopped making these back in the seventies from what i read.

Just got rid of all my pc board amps. My Mesa .22+, gone. Marshall JCM 900, gone. Carvin X 60, gone. The Fender Blues Jr. is next. Point to point, all tube is the way. Got a Les Paul Classic 60, A 79' Takamine 12 string, buncha old Harmony archtops and Stellas, 8o's Roland Midi bass w/ analog synth,
Hohner B V, Ibanez five string acoustic. Had played one of these guitars before and the guy tried to sell it to me for $1300 bucks. it wasn't worth that but surely more the worth the $299 I payed for it. Gladly would buy ano ther if stolen or lost.

This jazzguitar is from approx. 1947. I can't find any information on the net. All I know is that Premier was original an American company that moved to Japan if I remember correctly in the end of the '50's. So... this one is probably made in the USA. Apart from that it's buildquility is very poor. Unlike for instance the very nice Dangelo guitars this one is almost falling apart now. Sides are loose, in the fretboard there are litterally nale-impressions visible as if the wood is very soft compared to the modern guitars. It has a wooden scratchplate, pearloid dot-inlay in the neck and wooden brigde and neck eh... things. The tuners I had to replace because they were hand-made shit-quality and two were broke. I had to drill bigger holes to fit the new ones and had to use rings to fill the space needed to tighten them because of the thin headstock. It's like half a centimeter thick. Also there is in perloid inlay the word Premier on the top of the headstock, like a Gibson has. Well thats about all a can tell about it, and all I know about it. More information is very welcome!

It sounds oke, but nothing special. It crackes on all sides, if you normally play it you hear all kind of strange noises from the loosened sides and back. I placed half-wound strings on it otherwise I even doubt if it sounds like a nice jazzguitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Bad bad and ehm...BAD MAN! But it looks really old and cool, hey... eye-vitamines! You almost feel like Robert Johnson when playing it. It has this old-blues-joint-kinda-feel

Reliability/Durability : 1
It will probably die when played live. Or, when playing every song you lose a few parts. (Ooops, sorry guys we have to stop, the neck just came off!) Anyway, mayby I let it restore sometime. And uh...strapbuttons? What is that?

Say guys, I have this guitar here and it's falling apart. I suppose I still have warranty on it. Not? You guys really suck! Go make bassdrums instaid or something!

Very bad craftsmenship in general. Does have bindings but they are no longer in function! (on this model they were called Loosens) The guy who made this guitar didn't know they actually make percussion instruments.
