An incredible flamenco sound for the price. Rich trebles, deep basses, nice flamenco decay.

This guitar is a great value for this price. i cant afford a very expensive blanca, and this axe can handle most of the very expensive ones that I have heard. Of course this is not a Ramirez, nor Conde, but surely it can handle any Sanchis, Burguet, Alhambra, Yairi that can double it the price. I would buy another one if it were stolen.

1994 Prudencio Saez Model 22 made in Spain.
Normal features of blanca flamenco guitar.
Spruce top, cypress back/sides, Cedar (or Mahogany)
neck of very good woods. ok tuning pegs.
case was extra. This it is normal scale neck for
classical.

Sound is great for the price. Very balanced in all frequencies -
high and low. Sustain is among best for flamenco guitar of any
price. Sustains more like a good classical guitar. Negative
is high treble is lacking, but if high treble frequencies were
better on this inexpensive guitar, the guitar would be worth
thousands more than the modest price. My ratings on this guitar
are for all classes of flamenco guitars, where 10 would be
a $9000 Conde Hermanos, 0 would be an all plywood Chinese p.o.s. guitar.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

Action is perfect. 2.8mm 12th fret low E and 2.4mm 12th fret high E.
Neck is fat and wide and feels good. Finish is not too thick.
Top is bookmatched ok and the only negatives is the cheap saddle
and nut which should be replaced with high-quality bone.

Built like a shit brick house and although not the heaviest
flamenco guitar built, it is not the lightest.

Been playing all styles of guitar for eternity. Own a Tacoma
acoustic guitar and Fender Strat. If this guitar was stolen, would
get something mail order instead of buying from
a store, since stores usually only carry one brand flamenco
guitar, which gives you almost zero
choice. Mail order gives you infinite choice.
Flamenco guitars are very obscure and much easier
to find a classical or steel string guitar than
a flamenco guitar in your local store. There are other bargains
out there. Love the sustain, feel of neck, low action, growly
flamenco buzz. Hate the lack of high treble, which is the difference
between an ok guitar and great guitar. Could not compare it to
too many flamenco guitars, since no place to buy flamenco guitars
except mainly Guitar Center. This guitar compares to over $1,000
Cordoba 75F flamanco guitar. Chose this guitar, since half the
price of the Cordoba and the Cordoba has too thick finish and sounded dead, though I did play a Corodba a long time ago that was much better than the Prudencio Saez, so it is just luck of the draw.

This is a Flamenco style Spanish guitar made of all solid wood in Valencia Spain. The top is solid spruce and the sides and back are solid cypress. Scale lenth and neck width at the nut are standard classical. The fretboard is ebony and the bridge appears to be rosewood. There are no electronics and none are needed. The finish is lacquer. The body size is slightly smaller than a standard classical. The tuners are not top quality, but are none the less smooth operating and very nice looking and keep the instrument in tune. The neck is cedar with an ebony rod installed for stability.

I have tried a variety of other classicals/flamencos and none come close to this guitar in volume, tone or appearance. Some of the ones I have tried include Conde Hermanos EF-4, Takamine EC132SC, Cordoba FCWE and Cordoba 75F. The Conde Hermanos, by the way, was a piece of
s--t. The fingerboard was split completely in two and there were at least five obnoxious finish flaws. It was a very sad piece of workmanship and it was brand new. The Conde EF-4 is their entry level flamenco, but it is very pricy for an instrument that resembles third world quality. The Takamine was very nice and the Cordobas were extremely nice guitars also. The Prudencio Saez was priced well below the others and I had to go up in price above the Prudencio Saez over a thousand dollars to get comparable sound and workmanship. The model 22 lists at about $879.00, but I found one new online at under $500.00. Its sound is tight, clean and powerful and just pretty. You cannot put this instrument down.

There may be some personal preference to be taken into consideration in this category, but for my tastes, this guitar is virtually flawless. The action is low and there are no extraneous noises at all. The finish is the best I have seen on any guitar I have owned over the last forty years. There is not a single blemish of any kind anywhere on this guitar. It is a flamenco so the fit and feel is a little more comfortable than a standard size classical.

Flamencos are somewhat lightly constructed compared to standard classicals, but this guitar does appear to be tough. There is a reinforcement rod in the neck made of ebony and I expect this instrument to last with proper care.

Although this guitar is new, I have no warranty papers so I don't expect I could get any repairs made without contacting the manufacturer in Spain at my own expense.

I have played almost forty years, though I have had many long breaks in playing over the years. I consider the purchase of this instrument the best deal I have ever gotten on a musical instrument. If it were lost or stolen, I would scour the earth for another one. It is simply one of the finest examples of beauty and quality in workmanship and sound I have seen or heard.
