Very good classical guitar. Probably a 2007/8 build. Solid cedar top, ebony fingerboard. Tuners likely replaced by first owner (the tuners on the guitar I purchased are just "ok."

VERY LOUD guitar (that's GOOD!). Wonderful tone. Sounds just wonderful in the hands of my instructor. Note: the sound is VERY different from the player's position (directly above the guitar); in front, the sound is just wonderful. My instructor said it was at least as good as his $1200 guitar he bought new about 7 years ago. Strings make a BIG difference. The best I've found are LaBella professional, they really bring out the base!

The guitar was second hand, but it did not have a single blemish on it and the owner, when I tried it out, cautioned me to be careful of my belt buckle; she was a fanatic about the condition of the instrument.
I do have a MAJOR complain, however. Unless fretted on top of the third and higher frets, the fourth string (D), and to some extent the third string (G) "buzz." It's likely fret buzz, but it drives me CRAZY. Since the guitar is second hand, I haven't sought help from the representative. I don't know whether to put more money into the guitar to have it repaired or buy a new guitar. I think I will try to have it fixed. If it were not for this problem, I'd give the guitar a 9 for action and fit.

Slight crack in finish on top. The bridge scratches easily when changing strings.

I emailed the US representative regarding strings (could the guitar support very high tension strings) and he answered right away (the answer was "yes.")

Other than the fret buzz that I think is unique to my instrument, I would rate this guitar as a truly exceptional buy. It has wonderful tone, is very, very loud, and is easy to play.
Note: mine is the Model 6, not the Model 6A (per label on inside of guitar). I do not know the difference in the models.

This is a model 6, not 6A being sold on the internet. I guess mine is a bit older model than the current one. This is a full size (4/4) classical guitar made in spain but the label doesn't say when exactly. It has Spanish look, sound and feel with SOLID CEDAR TOP with delicately inlaid wood marquetry rosette (very nice one), mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and natural maple binding. It has a beautiful glossy finish all around, and it doesn't look like it's stained, like most of Japanese guitars. This guitar does not have anything extra, no pick or electronics of any kind, which is ok since most of them are not good anyways. I was looking for the best sound and craftsmanship I could find for the lowest price, and I didn't even have to think twice to spend $400 after dozens of guitars I've tried in 3 stores. (well, traded my older one in for $100 so it's was $300 really)
I never had $$ for even 1 good guitar I really wanted so I've been practicing on very affordable line of guitars made in Russia and Romania. They had decent sound and I always put a coat of poliere on myself to give more deepness to the sound and to improve the look :-) I know that's not the way to treat a guitar, but it did help guite a bit! This cutsie beats them hands down right off the shelf.

I became a flamenco junkie last year so I got it to learn and play flamenco. Now that I have more time and $$, I wanted a nice guitar with excellent classical/flamenco sound. I have a very good ear for sound and I can say, this guitar sounded way better than any guitar I've tried in my life. It has very balanced sound on all levels and a solid volume. It's probably the loudest classical guitar I've every played, but what sold me is how well it projected that sound on different volumes and ranges. My friends (pro players) told me, the better your guitar is, the faster you're going to learn to play it. I realize that now ... In the week I've had it I've made enormous progress simply because I'm in love with the sound. Quality matters too, and it was very clear from the moment I started playing .. crystal clear sound on every fret, couldn't put it down to get my wallet! :) Kept the owner in the store for an hour after it closed on Saturda! :)

Although it sounded great from the shelf, I noticed a slight buzz on the 5th string .. looked closer the string was worn. A lot of people played it at the store and the strings were pretty cheap too. The owner included a set of Martin's medium tension strings and now it sounds even better ! I guess I'll upgrade to a nice set from D'Addario J30 in a few month but after I master my Rasgueras :)
I had him file the bridge to bring the action from 6mm to 4.5mm (what I'm used to and what's recommended for Flamenco style)
The body of the guitar was flawless .. gorgeous finish, very well matched color combination for the top and sides .. everything matchy matchy not like those stained, sharp contrast japanese and mexican guitars. This guitar has a very natural wood look but not light and not dark. Perfect, another selling point for me.
The fretboard is made very well, but not as nicely finished. I can see some glue there and there and the metal color of the frets is not even ... it's has spotty discolored .. maybe it was humidity at the store .. or whatever .. since you can't really see that unless you look for it (and I did after reading all the reviews on this site) I have to give it a 9 just because of the fretboard.
FYI, 1 good thing about Japanese guitars I like - nicely finished fretboards with stainless steel frets (where they cover the actualy side with a thin piece of wood so it looks very nice . on this one u can see the frets as they are in the wood from the side of the neck .. not that I really care since it doesnt' affect the play in any way

Live playing? I think so. I've seen many guys play flamenco in Spain .. NONE were playin cutaways, none had pickups inside. Mic on a stand in a nice hallway :). That's how I want it and that's what this guitar is .. pure, classic style spanish guitar.
To me this guitar is very light and solid, I haven't tested the finish. But after the owner changed the strings on it in front of me and started tuning it, 4th slipped out from the bridge and it's end made a ding on the top right behind the bridge about 1/16 deep and 3/8 long ... I guess it had to have pretty good striking force coming out at that speed but now I'll have to put a drop of clear polymere there to fill it up.
Another thing, the string tightening deviced on the neck are not the highest quality. Looks like ordinary chinese made, not even polished etc.. As I was tuning the guitar at the store one of the knobs fell out, aparently the screw holding it just snapped. nothing damaged and the store owner just replaced all of them with nice new quality ones (lucky me), he said he'll call them and get a replacement he'll keep, so I can enjoy these better ones. And it seems to hold the tune fairly well, even with new strings.
All the guitars I've owned were very solid and took a lot of abuse, and I'll be taking care of this baby very well including getting a hardshell case for traveling on a plane.

Store owner said the resell office in US is located in St francisco and they have 800 # and are very friendly and helpful. I don't know the # though. I trust the guy so I'll take his word for it. I figure I got lucky most of my problems accured right in the store I got fixed, tuned and adjusted to my preference I think the money was well spent.

I've been playing for about 12 years classical and flamenco at home .. I don't perform, just play alone and started playing with friends this year. I wish there was aleady a review on this site for it like the one I just left so I could order it online and save $100 instead of getting at the store :)
I love: sound - amazing (solid cedar top rocks), clear sound on all frets, easy to play, weight- very light, finish - natural wood colors, not too light, not dark - perfect color combination for my fussy eyes!
There is nothing I dislike. All very nice. Wish a little better finish on the fretboard .. polished frets etc.. But it doesnt' affect the sound so I'm very happy I finally found the sound I like. I'll just clean the frets with a 1500 sand paper next time I change the strings and it'll be perfect :)
I compared it to dozens of other guitars under $1500. I picked it because it had the best sound and was the easiest to play. what can I say: made in Spain
I hope eventually to install a nice classical guitar pickup and get a nice hardshell case for my birthday .. that's about it.
sorry for typos:
