Trade an Approx trade of $160 recently and this is a solid guitar.
Nice sound for all types but especially for metal/rock This guitar has a solid sound and i was surprised by it

Nice red trim and black accent pieces make the guitar KICK! love the red dot fret guides too.

Sound : 9
Sound is excellent 2 push/pull pots for tone on both humbucks.

Deadly sound with a set of boomers or Flatwound nickels.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Changed the humbucker heights myself and added 3 boomers and 3 flatwound nickels. (both ghs) sounds phenomenal! )
Everything else is A++

Reliability/Durability : 9
Really strong only damage is a small "tooth" mark from dropped case by the previus owner. the case is also very solid.

never heard much about this company but my other guitar is "Vantage" which basically, Quest is the epiphone if vantage is the Gibson.

Overall Rating : 10

Mid 80's, left handed, explorer type body, 2 humbuckers, 2 tone, 1 push/pull volume, 3 way toggle and a phase switch.

Sound : 10
Definitely made for metal but with all the tonal variations it's a very versatile guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I set this guitar up myself and it's about as perfect as it's ever gonna get. I have 5 other guitars, nothing super high end, but this one has been my favourite for a long time now.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar has seen the road on many occasions. It could definitely make the trip on it's own without me having to worry. The tuners smooth, all original, the bridge is a solid chunk of metal, no floating whammy to piss around with. It stays in tune very well. My only complaint about this guitar would be the strap button. The guitar has a weird body and the button on the top sits on a really weird angle. I dropped the guitar a couple times before going out to buy the locks. Problem solved.

Just a great instrument. I've not seen another Quest guitar in my life and I've worked in a music store for a long time. If I see another and it happens to be left handed I will not hesitate to pick it up even if I have to spend a whole lot more.

I don't know what year this was made, maybe the 80s or something. Made in japan, 22 frets, solid alder explorer type body, black with red binding. Ebony fretboard, 2 volume 1 tone and 2 "quest" brand humbuckers. String thru fixed bridge. 24 1/4 inch scale. Awesome bolt on neck , and I believe it has an ebony fretboard.

Sound : 10
I play euro metal stuff. Power metal; gamma ray type stuff. This guitar is perfect for that. It's got this bright punchy sound that I love. The pickups really surprise me; I have an ESP EX351 which I put a DiMarzio X2N and Fred in, and this thing blows it away. Everything is very clear on this guitar, unlike the ESP.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Well the place who sold this fixed it up before selling it so it really plays almost like new; perfect action and everything. This guitar is better in this department than my other guitar.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I think this guitar will withstand live playing. The hardware seems quite decent. I think the finish is quite tough because its quite old yet still looks great with only a few chips here and there.
I would not gig with anything with no backup, though I would feel better without one playing this than an ESP.

I dont think that company exists anymore.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for quite a while, and have the ESP EX like I said. I've also owned a Cort, and a very rare neck thru takamine GE410GT. This is the best guitar I have owned yet. This is a very cool version of the explorer shape, which is my main sort of style I like. I cant wait to get it refinished. These old japanese guitars that are forgotten now seem to be a lot better than what you get nowadays. I haven't played many guitars that are like this thing. The only complaint I have is that the knobs are large and plastic and look sort of goofy. But you dont notice it really. If you ever see a "quest" get it, there are no other guitars like them. Companies will just keep finding more and more ways to screw you out of a good guitar, and still charge more. These old guitars are focking awesome. better shapes, better quality, better sound, and they're worthless so you can get em cheap.
