Had a mid-70's Ibanez PF-100 sent in to be repainted and setup. What I got was a butchered peice of sh%t back. Just like the last guy a I got a "Restored by Philip Bruce Clay" and "RareBird Guitars" stamped in the back of the headstock. Worst than that, he glued in the blt on neck and shaved off the block on back, so now there's no way I can get it back to what I want. None of this was asked for or authorized, when confronted I got a "this will make it better" speech. This guy may be good at custom one off's, but his business ethics suck.

OK, sounded better before the neck was glued in.

neck was out of alignment when it was glued in so there's no way this will ever play the same again.

Been playing 20+ years, own 10+ guitars. I don;t mind paying for quality, Rarebird is not it.

I had the worst experience with Rarebird guitars. They refinished my Gibson SG, they really butchered it, wrong color, lost parts, ruined the electronics, ruined both pick ups, carved "Rarebird Guitars" on the back of the neck, and then the worst part was their reaction to my many complaints was a stoned "oh, wow, man." They never acknowledged my complaints, or offered any excuses or reasons for their incompentant work. Luckily, I found a great guitar luthier who has done a fabulous job restoring the SG, but best of all, he removed the insulting "Rarebird Guitars" carvings from my guitar.

See above. They did a horrible job. But it was their attitude that killed me.
