Left-handed korean made green quilt... alder body and a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearl fin inlays, 25.5 scale, 24 frets. Nice deep cutaway but it could go a bit deeper in my opinion. the body looks like a cross between an Ibanez S series and a Jackson Dinky.. except much sexier. One volume, one tone, five way selector, HSH pickup configuration, liscensed floyd rose double locking trem, grover tuners. Got a free cable with it.
For a $500 guitar, not bad at all!
Sound

I play a lot of dark and heavy stuff.. I wasn't expecting the pickups to be dark and they're not - they SCREAM. The bridge is full of rich, full harmonics while the middle pickup gives me a thinner, warmer sound that I enjoy for cleans. I'm not too fond of the neck pickup, but that's because I have been playing my Tony Iommi signature for rhythm sections, and no pickup can come close to the Iommi pickup in terms of thickness and clarity for neck pickups. I play thru a Line 6 Spider II half stack and it literally brings the rig to life... such rich harmonics... and of course, with five pickup settings and a line 6 rig, the sky is the limit on tonal capabilities.

The factory setup was amazing. A bit too high for my taste but nothing my local luthier can't lower.. nevertheless, it's the best factory setup I've ever seen. The guitar came to me in tune and fully intonated. The pickups were high and ready.. just the way I like it.. Haven't foun any flaws yet.

Although I'd never EVER EVER go to a gig without a backup, the 1000Q looks delicate but is as solid as a rock. The hardware looks ready for my abuse and so do the strap buttons.. wouldn't dream of them breaking.

How many guitar companies can you call and have the president answer the phone and call you back when you leave messages? Eric is the most friendly guy I've ever done business with and he makes things work. I actually lost my bid on Ebay and Eric was kind enough to give me a second chance offer. Even threw in a free cable as well! Absolutely amazing.
To top it off, a limited lifetime warranty can't be all bad either.

I've been playing about 4 years and I own an Epi Iommi G-400 and a Schecter 006 deluxe. If this guitar was stolen, I'd find the guy and spoon out his innards with a rusty hatchet. If this guitar was ever lost [fat chance!] I'd most definitely replace it.
This is hands down the best guitar for the money.

First off, this guitar has a beautiful finish (green quilted maple with gold hardware) and a relatively smooth and comfortable neck (24 frets) and when you're left-handed like me that's hard to find in a guitar under $600. As for the rest of the hardware, it's got a licensed floyd rose, a locking nut and grover tuners so ya, not too shabby. Pickup configuration is H/S/H with a 5-way selector, one volume pot and one tone pot.
Sound

The pickups, unfortunately are no-name pickups and it shows. The sound isn't terrible but I also own a Gibson Les Paul and the 1000Q is pale in comparison. On the up-side though, the pickups don't have much static/background noise which actually surprised me. If you do a lot of pick/artificial harmonics (this is where the floyd rose is very handy) the only setting produces a good sound is the bridge humbucker, the others are a little to soft/muffled. However, these settings work well when doing lead work further up the neck. So overall not necessarily bad, but not the best.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The finish, as previously stated, is STUNNING especially when you're a lefty and all you ever get is gloss black. Everything else fits, and works properly
When I got it, everything was almost set up perfectly (action was flawless except for the D string which buzzed, and the intonation was a little sketchy), so I thought it shouldn't be much of a problem to tweak it just enough to get it right. BAD IDEA. Once I got it back from a REAL guitar tech, it was marginally better (intonation is perfect now, but the action is a bit too high).
It's more of an opinion thing, but I would rather a different pickup configuration. I find the single coil in the middle to be in the way and clumsy for lack of a better word. Regardless, if you like playing something like a Fender Strat I don't think you'll have a problem with the pickup configuration.
As for the neck, it's very smooth and fast (roughly "U" shaped) which felt an awful lot different from my Gibson, but in a good way.

Since I just got the guitar, I haven't had a chance to use in a live setting, but I will probably bring a backup guitar when the opportunity arises. On the other hand though, everything seems solid and otherwise "stageworthy". The backup guitar would be more of a "just in case" guitar rather than a "when it fails" guitar.

Haven't had to deal with them... I got ultra-fast email responses from the sales guy though. I would imagine customer support would be similar

Overall, WHAT I LIKE:
The finish, it looks amazing
The neck, it plays very easily
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
The fact that I still haven't quite gotten the guitar set up properly
The pickups, they're junk. Someday I will get them replaced with Seymore Duncans or Alnicos or something like that.
BOTTOM LINE: I want to like this guitar, and with a bit more money, I should be able to. I am, however, very impressed with what I got for $500...ish (with shipping)

It's great for Rock but I play metal but it's also ok.
it isn't noisy.
There are a lot of sounds (HSH 5 way)
I like sound very much.
Pick Ups: G&B HSH
Pick ups adatti al Rock ma vanno bene facendo anche metal, per nulla rumorosi. Configurazione HSH 5 posizioni, quindi molti suoni e belli!

I've been playing 20+ years and currently own 19 electrics....a lot of which never leave their cases. This Raven is an excellent value! It's a great looking and sounding guitar, perfect for shredding. The best thing about this guitar however is the neck. It is fast....but not too thin. 24 jumbo frets....damn thing plays like butter. Since buying this guitar I have not touched my Jackson Stealth XL or my Ibanez....it simply plays better! I've owned it for almost a year now and it has given me absolutely no problems. You simply can't beat this guitar at the prices you can currently get them at! Play one if you get the chance.
