Bought a rg 1400 on ebay, blemished. Produced somewhere in the world, the wont tell.I asked about the make of the pickups, no answer.Basswood body, set neck, nice finish.24 jumbo frets. I like the neck.

Decent sounds,not extraordinary, just common.

unusable, you need welder gloves to avoid getting hurt by the unfinished ends of the frets

When I first unpacked this I was very impressed. A very nice looking guitar.
Made in 2008, likely Korea. This is a 24 fret with a 25 1/2" scale length. It's got an HSH no-name pickup config with a 5-way switch, 1 vol, 1 tone. It's a strat style sculpted basswood body with a stunning quilted top (blue fade into purple) and a bolt-on, hard MAPLE, fully bound neck, All satin gold hardware including locking nut, lo-pro floyd rose trem and wilkinson tuners. A rosewood fretboard with sharkfin inlays completes the look. With better pickups I'd rate it higher...but then I'd have paid more too... :)

It's got a great range of tones even with the stock pickups. They're slightly brighter than the Jackson pickups in my DK-1 they don't lack for variety. I use it mainly with a Peavey tweed 30 and a digi GN3 or a variety of other stomp boxes and it really gets some great sounds.
I'd like to get a little warmer tones from it at times, but I'm very satisfied with what it does OOB.

This was probably the best setup I could have hoped for from the factory. While the D string buzzed just a little, it was set up just the way I like it. Action was low, pickups high, tight trem, very nice. I haven't found anything I don't like about the way this came from the factory, even down to the packaging. It was clean, nicely bookmatched, ready to play.

While it seems pretty solid, I haven't given it much of a test outside of some hard playing at home. Even on the road I'm not a thrasher so it wouldn't face much abuse from me... :). That said, the finish looks solid, except maybe for the satin finish on the tone controls & part of the trem. I wouldn't be too surprised to find it wears off after a short while. I never gig without a backup, but I'd bring this to a good jam without a spare.

No need to deal with support so far, but their communication after auction was OUTSTANDING. Initial email confirmation and follow-up with UPS tracking # and explanation about it. It's got a limited lifetime warranty so I have no worries about the guitar or it's service.

I've played guitar for many years and have too much gear to list, but I saw this on auction, loved the look, and after much research decided to take the chance on it. I am definitely not disappointed so far. Worth far more than the $355 I payed for it IMO.
