This is a 2002 Raven RM-650, it was made in Korea. It is a 21 fret copy of an ES-135. Has a laminated top with a flame Maple, Tabacco Sunburst finish, the sides and back also have a very nice flame finish. All gold hardware, the sealed tuners have the cool imatation wood knobs on them. The body is about 3" thick. The guitar has a fat set neck, medium frets, wood bridge, and two very decent sounding gold plated humbuckers. This is not a Gibson, but considering its about 1/5th the price. Honestly, I am very impressed.
Sound

I play everything from death metal to blues and this thing is killer, very fat jazzy, bluesy, and rock sound. Pickups seem fine, I will probably but in some EMG's, I play through a Pod Pro into a Crown CE1000, Biamped into a Carvin 4-12, and a 1-18 cabinet.

The action was great, intonation was great. The neck pickup was off center just a little bit, nothing to worry about. Everything else was good, full body binding looked good as well. Beautiful flame finish.

Finish is very good, guitar feels extremley solid, time will tell. Strap locks are big, metal and solid. I always would carry a backup but I would use this as a main guitar.

I have been playing about 20 years, own about 20 guitars and love this one. If it were lost or stolen I would be pissed. I can't beleive the value for the money, this thing is great. I am not a fan of Korean made guitars but companies like Raven and Samick are really changing my mind. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
