I play mostly classic style rock and blues but have always liked the sound of Beatle George Harrison's 12 string tunes. I never had the thousands of dollars to buy a Rick and boy am I glad now I didn't! This guitar is just straight up awesome. It's not only the best sounding 12 string I've ever played but by far the coolest looking. Played through my Line 6 combo I can nail Zep's stairway to heaven tone with no sweat and easily dial in the jangle of all those Byrds folk rock songs like "Turn, turn, turn." The neck pickup has a rich smooth sound while the bridge gets those bright sounds we've all come to know. The single volume is smooth with no volume jumps or problems and the tone control rolls off the treble well. I was told that rwg has been using upgraded pickups and parts and it's true, because I removed the control cover and the pots are now full size Alpha pots, not the nickle sized ones most korean guitars use. The pickups are surprisingly great too. I'd say they are as good as most stock pickups Gibsons now come with. Sound wise the guitar can't be beat.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I was amazed at the setup out of the box. I put new 9 guage Ernie Ball's on it and the intonation was perfect. I adjusted the action to my taste and it's absolutely the lowest and easiest to play 12 string I've ever played. I have had much pricer guitars that need more set up work out of the box.
All hardware was tight and sturdy. The Grover tuners are great and are genuine Grovers, not some lower priced knockoffs. The finish is an awesome deep red and the top has the finest, deepest quilting I have ever seen on a guitar in this price range. The bound neck has a very good quality rosewood fingerboard and features some beautiful Abalone inlays which continues on the headstock binding and gives the guitar an ultra rich and classy look. The frets were leveled and polished better than most of my super expensive guitars. The finish on it is flawless.

From the looks and feel I would have to say this guitar was definitely built to last. The hardware seems super strong. The finish looks like it will last a lifetime with minimal wear. The strap buttons are rock solid. I think it will be very dependable. I would not hesitate to use it as my only guitar at a gig.

I talked to the owner and was very impressed by his friendly customer service. I've read nothing but praise about their desire to make sure the customer is satisfied. They went above and beyond to make sure I knew all I needed before I ordered and everything they said was spot on, actually the pictures don't do the guitar justice. In person it's unbelievably gorgeous and the quality is instantly apparent. There is a lifetime warranty.

I have been playing for 20 years, mostly classic rock but also blues and some folk-rock. I own an '84 Fender Strat, a 2004 Gibson LP studio, a Danelectro Inuendo, and a Guild acoustic.
If this were stolen, lost or damaged I would definitely replace it.
I love the look of the guitar, it is awesome. My favorite feature is it's playability, it is a joy to play and sounds better than any other 12 string out there.
I will certainly recommend Raven West Guitars to other players. If you are looking for a well made, great sounding and beautiful looking electric 12 string guitar at an unbeatable price I know this guitar will not disappoint.
