Features : 9
80's Pete Townshend Limited Model (250 ONLY) Santa Ana, Calif.
Rose Morris style UK import - F-hole rather than slash, 3 vintage style "Toaster" pick-ups (though they are wound more like a HI-Gain)
Superb Fireglo finish that makes me weep every time I grab her out of the case. Standard Ric controls - 4 + blend. Difference here is the "R" tailpiece rather than the trem (which Townshend disliked).
Toggle switch for Morse Code feedback effect (also pick-up selection).
21 fretter here with the top pick-up at the neck joint. Signature scratchplate wich now resides in the case as I replaced it with a standard Ric plate...much better on the looks front!
Gave this a 9 as you just don't need "tons of features" on a Ric!

Sound : 10
OMG!Where do I start! This guitar just oozes that superb
Ric vintage chime but with an added mid dimension due to it's hybrid
pick-up winding. This guitar has beaten ALL contenders... Classic sound with bite and balls yet still retaining that signature tone. I just can't impress enough how great this guitar sounds.
One other point of interest is how "vintage" this model feels. Quite how Rickenbacker have made this guitar is something I really would like to know as it feels and plays quite unlike any other Ric in my
collection. My 1980 330 is a GREAT guitar...but something about the PT gives the player a more earthy feel. This is something I have only
felt when playing truly vintage instruments. Is it the wood, the weight, the effect of use? I don't know...but this Ric has something that every guitar player notices when they hold a well played vintage guitar...weight, feel, character.
A "10" without doubt!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As you may have guessed already I LOVE this guitar and if you are aware of Rickenbacker's heritage you will know that to hold one of these instruments is a case of instant love or hate....for most it is LOVE. The character of the Rickenbacker is stuff of legend and this model just oozes total class. It plays like a dream, it looks like a dream and it sounds like GOD! This guitar says quality...nuff said!

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have played gigs with this Ric that will stay in my mind forever...
The look is deceiving as I feel sure this Ric will withstand all that is thrown against it...including barstools! This guitar is tough! Have used this guitar without backup and always will.
Rics never break strings!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have had several contacts with customer support and have found Ric to be very helpful. I know there are tales to be told about customer support but that is true of every make.

Overall Rating : 10
This guitar is the stuff of legend and I'm glad I've made the first
move to review this model...It's mine and I LOVE it!
I've been playing for 25 years and it's been a gas! Rickenbacker has been a big part of that history and this model is the one that I feel needs too be highlighted as a classic!
