Rols Guitars EVH Frankenstrat

I only wanted the features that "Eddie" had in his guitar and that is exactly what I got! I asked Rol if he screws a quarter into the guitar like Eddie did.....he said, "Man, not only do I do the quarter....I put the same year!!....sure enough 1971" I was blown away by the authenticity of the guitar...When I first got it, I was thinking, "My God, He ripped it off" Eddie is looking around his house say, "*&%#!, where's my guitar?!!!". Fantastic Replica!

Its a nice piece of wood....you get a nice warm sound.

When I got the guitar, everything was set up perfectly. Rol played it for a couple of weeks to make sure nothing would go wrong and also to break it in a little.

Its a workhorse. I've jumped around on stage with it in my Van Halen tribute band "Spanish Fly". I even let a drunk maniac play it....I thought the whammy bar was gonna come clean off.....but it maintained and even stayed in tune and put a smile on the drunk guys face.

You can talk to Rol anytime you need to.....he will keep you up to date with emails.....it took some time to get the guitar, but it was well worth the wait. I was getting the guitar as a prop and it turned out to be my main guitar...I was surprised and thrilled that it played so well.

I've been playing for about twenty years now....and this is the best guitar that I have ever owned and I've been through quite a few. I wish I had added the detuna. If you are a guitar player.....even if you hate Van Halen....you must have one of Rol's Guitars. I was like everyone else.....a little put off and skeptical about sending my money to some guy in Arizona.....now I want 2 more. Thanks Rol!

The features are the exact same as the guitar that EVH used, FLOYD ROSE, DUNCAN PICKUP ETC. (so thats the features you get)

rols puts a lot of attention to realistic detail, i have not found any thing thats missing or different than the guitar that EVH played in the early 80's (from looking at many pics)

this guitar is very solid and great for live playing, all the parts are high quality.

very good support, a lot of emails to let me know the status of production (it takes a little time to get one of these, but its well worth the wait)

i have only been playing for about 4 or 5 years, i own a les paul classic & a peavey EVH wolfgang, this frankenstrat is without a doubt the best for playing early VH music!

This guitar has all the features one could expect from the original. A very quick unfinished maple neck. Floyd Rose, Seymour Duncan, All quality stuff. The paint is just about perfect. If you are looking for a "shop" type paint job with a clear coat and the whole 9 yards then Rol is not you man, But if you want something as close to the original as you can get like I did the you can not go wrong with Rol. He even put the wear marks on it like the photo I sent to him. Just a Tiny bit of red overspray on the neck but hell, Ed's guitar probably has the same!!

Just plain rips!! Pluged into my cousins Super Lead the other day and I am still looking for parts of my face. This guitar does one thing and it does it very,very well!

Rol gave me a call when he was ready to set up the guitar and asked me how I liked the action. Told him I wasn't pickey about it and he told me he would set it up just like a Wolfgang and sure enough it was. As for flaws, the only ones that were there were the ones I asked him to put on it.

Rol built me a quality instrument. It is a guitar that I will be playing for many years to come.

I found Rol's Guitars on ebay of all places and went to his site and was very impressed. He built me a guitar that he does not even list on his web site. My Franky is c1990 with the hockey stick style neck. After I placed my order. He would respond to my e-mails regarding his progress. Mine took a little longer to build because he moved right in the middle of building it but he was forthright about it and I must say, it was worth the wait. After the guitar was shipped he called a couple of times to see if it had arrived and if there was anything not to my liking when it did arrive to send it back and he would take care of it.

I would not hesitate in buying another guitar from Rol. He built me exactly what I asked for!

An old Kramer Focus, now a mighty Frankenstrat. Body is a mystery hardwood. Maybe Alder, maybe Ash. Kramer (actually ESP) used everything back then. Pickup is a DiMarzio Tone Zone. Neck is an unfinished maple replica of a pre-bananna Kramer, bar is an old school original Floyd Rose. Shaller tuners. For the paint job (which is excellent!), see http://www.rolsguitars.com and check out the 1984 era Frankenstrat. This thing is accurate right down to the 1971 quarter next to the Floyd. The only thing I opted against was the goofy reflectors on the back. He'll work with you if you want anything to be different.

The pickup I sent Rol to use in this guitar was humming. He replaced it with a new one, FOR FREE. I am not saying this is a standard pratice of his, but it gives you an idea of what kind of guy he is.

It came ready to rock. All I had to do was tune it. Low, fast action and that unbeatable, unfinished maple neck.

Built to last. I will be handing this over to some lucky person in my will someday.

My first electric guitar was a Kramer Focus 3000. I bought it with my own money in 1987 at the age of 15. Since about 1991, when as I began to acquire other guitars, I have wanted to turn this instrument into a Frankenstrat. It has a hardwood body, very similar to Ed's Charvel, and an original Floyd Rose. I always thought it sounded great, so I knew it would make a good Frankie, I just lacked the time, patience and technical know-how to do it myself. That's where Roland Hernandez comes in. He built me as realistic a Frankenstrat as I could have ever hoped for at a very good price. I supplied the body and the whammy bar, just about everything else came from him. He even located a replica strat-style maple kramer neck. I can't say enough good things about Rol and his guitars. If you have ever wanted an EVH replica, forget Ed Roman and those other guys. EVH is all Rol does and he does it cheaper and better.

Noticed his site on the internet and thought I would try him (Rol's guitars) out. Could not be happier. He really was honest and fair and shiped the guitar right on time. SUPER!!

Been playing a long time. Been a Van Halen fan a long time and yes if the guitar was ever stolen, I would buy another one from him.
