If it weren't for the name on the headstock, you would think this guitar was a les paul. The Deimos has a flame maple top over a single cutaway mahogany body with a set maple neck. Rosewood fingerboard with the trapezoidal shaped inlays, 22 jumbo frets and Grover 14:1 ratio tuners (my only major complaint). Stop-bar tailpiece behind a tune-o-matic style bridge. Two passive Emg Select humbuckers (around 8.5k ohms), not to be confused with the higher output Emg HZ H4/H4A's (around 13.5k ohms). Four knobs in all, two volumes and two tones plus a 3-way selector switch.

I've played this guitar through everything I own(marshall 5210, peavey backstage plus, peavey envoy110, toneport computer interface), and it sounds amazing. This sounds like a les paul, but better, in my opinion. The Emg Selects sound great, they have the rich sound that you would expect out of a les paul. Because they're Emg's you can flip the selector switch and blast out a screaming, harmonic-driven solo. With a crisp distortion, heavy stuff like older Megadeth/Metallica sounds like a dream.
This 10.5lb guitar feels like a rock, I love it. It has sustain for weeks, but I would expect nothing less from a solid mahogany body with a stop-bar tailpiece. I've actually wrapped my strings around the top of the bar which almost always helps sustain on this style of tailpiece.

I play just about everything from blues to heavy metal, so I have to set my action a little high. I had to set up intonation too, but that was probably because of the change in string gauge, I stepped up to Power Slinkys.
Around the body is a very nicely done white-black alternating 4 layer binding. The flame maple top is properly matched. No flaws of any kind on this body. The only complaint I have here is the fact that there is no pickup selector switch plate, like the typical "bass/treble" ring you see on Gibsons. However I did find an abalone ring on eBay that looks amazing on the Deimos, so maybe it was a good thing it didn't come with one.

I have the feeling that this guitar is a tank. Everything on this guitar seems like it would go up against gig after gig and come out victorious, but only time will tell. I have no problem taking this guitar with me to gigs, except for the fact that people want to touch it and check it out.

This is the second time I've dealt with Rondo Music, and it definitely won't be the last time. There was a problem with my first Deimos, so I sent Kurt an email. He replied within a couple of hours, told me to send it in and it would be replaced. He even refunded what I payed to ship it back to him. I highly recommend Rondo Music to anyone who wants an amazing bang for their buck and top notch customer service.

I've been playing for over 13 years, everything from classical to metal. This is the 7th guitar I own, and all I can say is that I wish that I discovered RondoMusic sooner. You get a hell of a lot of guitar for your dollar. I would seriously put the Deimos up against any Gibson les paul or ripoff les paul out there. I have that much confidence in this guitar.
I would replace this guitar in a heartbeat. It's a quality built les paul copy, that sounds better than a les paul, for only $200. I'd be stupid not to replace it, hell I'd be stupid not to buy at least one more.
I was shopping around for a guitar locally and was amazed at how much people are charging cheaply made guitars. I couldn't even touch a decent Fender, Gibson or Schecter for $200. I was even looking in pawn shops, and most of the guitars I could get for under $200 were pretty trashed.
