SX GG1 Supreme Amber Les Paul style guitar.Purchased from Rondo Music.com for $204.00 with tax 2/28/06 serial number starts with 04 maybe made 2004-2005 China.I had looked at a lot of LP's on E-Bay but nothing looked this good to me as the GG1 Supreme.I had purchased a Tele style from Rondo and was pleased with the Shipping and quality,I thought might as will try the LP and have been well pleased. One reviewer stated he just sat and looked at the beauty as it lay in the box and I can relate to that as I had the same feeling.I have not seen another like this for sale on E-Bay so I'm glad that I looked at the Rondo web site.Other people have covered the bells and whistles.so here is my thoughts on the GG1.

Sound : 10

The GG1 seems to do what you ask of a guitar, good bass and treble tones from the pups. The Speed knobs are smooth and quite and as is the selector switch ( alittle stiff but in a good way not easy to bump out of position).I'm using a Spider2 amp by LINE6 a Tascam cd gt-1 guitar trainer and my favorite amp a 1973 Fender Vibro Champ tube-type,also a Screamin Blues and a Flashback fuzz pedles.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The GG1 came set up nice to suit me.The string hieght was good and intonation a little off as with most guitars.I'M pretty pickey about my guitars and try to maintain them so beleive me I'm very well pleased with the quality of my Supreme ( more about that below).I had to file a number of sharp frets, conditioned the rosewood fret board as it was dirty and very dry and replased the strings although they came with a name brand.

Reliability/Durability : 10

This guitar is heavey and built like a tank,a nice glossy finish and will out live me and then some.

Customer Support : 10
Kurt at Rondo was quick to reply to my E-mail about the Tele I purched ,so I think they are doing fine job.

Overall Rating : 10

I have had a lot of guitars over the years and like to buy and sell on E-Bay that way if you don't like it,sell it and try another. It won't make the wife happy but don't tell her lol.
Yes I would be sick if lost and hope to replace it with another like it.There is nothing I hate about this guitar a little heavey at 9lbs but most good LPs are.SX calls this a Amber color but to me it's more of an Orange which I have always wanted, looked at orange Ibanez and DeArmond but glad I waited.I like the chrome hardware on a Delux guitar.Nice split pearl fret markers, multi layer pickguard and binding. The Flame finish is not overly done and very nice finish. The picture on the Rondo web site is for the Amber is what you will get.
