Features : No Opinion
Finish: I got the black beauty finish with gold hardware and white trimmings. The finish is beautiful and flawless.
Body Style: It has the traditional Les Paul style with easy access to fret boards and such. This guitar looks and feels like a real Les Paul
Bridge Stlye: It has a tune-o-matic like most les's do, which is somethign that I personally am not the biggest fan of. I play in a goofy position and the tune-o-matic setup can hurt my wrists after extend playing time(soloing)

Sound : No Opinion
This guitar sounds almost identical to my Les Paul Standard. It's amazing. The humbuckers have an beautiful smooth sound to them and rich with tone. They are very versatile, great for hard rock, blues, and jazz. I don't particularly care for the Humbucker sound when playing reggae and ska, single coil does it for me when playing those styles of music.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
This guitar came out of the box with perfect action. I still have not needed to modify anything one it yet. The intonation also came out of the box flawless(extreamly rare, even for the real thing!) The body is absolutely beautiful on this guitar. The headstock on this guitar is very close to Gibson, so close that I actually put the Gibson headstock logos on it to trick people out. I have had it for about 2 years now and nothing has come loose or broken. Tuners still work great, all wiring has no problems, hardware has stayed shiny and beautiful. I have nothing to complain about with this guitar.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I have played it live at shows a number of times. Never has anythign gone wrong. I am very Dependant of this guitar, though I never goto a show without a backup.(strings will break on any guitar, you need a backup) This guitar is excellent.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had any problems with this guitar, but shipping was extreamly fast from Rondo.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I will give it 4 1/2 stars, and recommend to buy. This guitar is excellent and not far behind a gibson. It was very in-expensive and I love it. A Must Buy!

A beautiful black gloss finish on top of a mahogany body and mahogany set neck. it has a rosewood fretboady with split trapazoidal abalone inlays. The body is tripple bound on both sides, with a neck and headstock binding. two passive gold covered humbuckers each with a tone and volume speed knob. gold plated tuning keys, a 3 way selector and tune-o-matic bridge round out the hardware.

I only payed 179+ shipping- a great deal

Coming from a gibson les paul i was extremely critical. i have also tried a lotus and only kept it for about a week. anyway...
i play rock and require the classic les paul sound. i figured i could gig with this and keep my gibson for bragging rights.
I can hear the same quality in the wood of the sx as i do in the gibson. So, for experimental purposes i stole the 498 and 490 from my gibson and put them in the sx. It was and amazing quality, comparible to the gibson. The gibsons gave it a rich thick sound that les pauls a re know for. i am not saying it sounded better, but just as good.

*The only problem with the stock pickups is that they sounded very vintage, and i dont like vintage.
(a 10 after pickup swap)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
The finish was flawless, but scratches easily. my hardware was also a little cheap feeling.all the binding was seemless and the inlys looked AMAZING! Overall the guitar is average to good quality.
although, the action is where the guitar falls short. the action was extremely high and the neck was bowed right out the of the box. i have had the guitar for several months now and a still fine tuning it . it is still not quite as playable as the gibson though.

Reliability/Durability : 10
fair but like i said, scratches easily. It feels like it will last for years to come with the thick body and solid hardware.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with rondo, but what i have heard is that they have great customer support.

Overall Rating : 9
i have been playing for 4 years and own a gibson les paul, sg and a fender strat as well as my gg1. i am very happy with this guitar after mods. Its my number one guitar for shows at this point.

Body is 100% pure cuban Mahogany and has a set neck. Black excelent Finish- Body style 100% les paul style. but with its own way : cutaway, line, etc...
Bridge style Tune-O-Matic. No other bridge will offer this always "stay in tune" guitarrist are looking for,

Tuners are SX with Gotoh japan license Non-locking Gotoh standards

Sound : No Opinion

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
as we o`pened the box the SX guitar set-up from factory was awsome. the action has to be touched a bit. the pickups adjustment has to change a bit. cus I have an special teaste in this area. the top came Properly bookmatched and the bridge Properly routed no flaws at all. (misaligned bracing, poorly filed fretwire,
finish flaws, poor quality wood, rusted or oxidized hardware, loose tuning pegs,
poorly cut nut, poorly fit saddle, noisy pickup selector, loose controls, etc...)
everything fine for a guitar of this price. as I have been working in a music shop in Oslo norway. even Ibanez, corts, or yamahas come usually with this kind of trouble.

Reliability/Durability : 9
this SX guitar withstand live playing fro sure. It's made to hard rock to hell. the hardware seem like it will last for ever and ever. finish is good enough to last and never wear off. I play in a band in my hometown Oslo day yes and aswell. lots of playing and beer drinkin.

Made in China 2003 or 2002 (not sure). 22 Frets, pearloid block markers, medium wide frets. 2 volume, 2 tone controls. 2 humbucker pickups. Looks exactly like a Gibson 57 Black Custom - The Black Beauty, black pickguard and black rings around the pickups. The control knobs are black plastic. Wide neck...but, not too wide. Heavy like a Paul should be, Epiph's not heavy enough! Golden Tulip tuners. Rosewood fret board and very classy well done shiny gloss black color. The body is mahogany. Sounds fantasic and is made really well, i was impressed with the pickups! The binding is white, all around the body, back, neck and also the headstock! The Headstock in fact, is VERY simillar to the Gibson one!

Sound : 10
It just sounds great! I was suprised to see what high quality this guitar is! The Humbuckers are quiet and have a full range of lp sounds. Jazzy and blue sustains, or full out rock. I play things like Beatles, Creedence and some of that kind....some blues also. I use compressor, drive, chorus and reverb...and all of them works just perfect with this baby. I fiqured I would have to change out the pickups to something like Gibson 57''Classic, but I was wrong. They are pretty fine. Action was a little high, but I changed it, and now I'm happy with it. I had an Epiphone LP and a Condor LP once. I didnt like it at all. I also have an Epiphone SG Standard (G400) and they are the "pretty sisters" working together on stage.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action was a little high. But it's not a problem...I fixed it!
Fit and finish are fantastic! I was always disappointed in the Epiphone's finish in the Les Paul models. Frets are even and smooth. The only thing that might need attention in the future, is the volume and tone pots are very easily turned. They are quiet and smooth, but they dont feel solid. The tune-o-matic bridge is fine and the nut was cut flawlessly. No string buzz anywhere on the neck all the way down to the 22 fret...even when I get the action lower.

Reliability/Durability : 9
After a year of so, we will see about the pots under the volume and tone knobs. (but this is no big or expensive deal to replace) It is as solid as a Gibson. I played on stage with it, a few times, and it really works fine! I wouldn't have a backup guitar with this one on my sholders...I trust it!
The finish's good...it don't seems to wear off easly...The strap button are OK...they have a nice "head" that just don't let the strap go out! My rating is 9 just because the knobs...but, like I said, it's easy to fix!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with the company...and it never get to be repaired!
I'm not sure about the warranty, but in fact I'm not worried about it!

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 12 years. If it was lost or stolen I would get another one, because I'm sure it'll not break! I like it because it feels right. It looks exactly like a black 57 Gibson LP Custom. Its amazing! I advise you all! If you're looking for some Les Paul like Epiphone and other replicas, because you don't have the money for a Gibson, just try this one! You'll not get disapointed! In fact, if you don't have the money for a Gibson Custom or Standard...because I sure would prefer this SX instead of a Gibson Les Paul Studio, Special or Junior!
It comes with a hard case, that's the amazing replica of the Gibson's case...that clear brown with the pink "stuff" inside...the case is hight quality too!
This guitar is great!
