Peavey Wolfgang body style. Mahogany body with a beautiful genuine amber quilted maple top, not the cheap photo quilt but the real deal. 22 fret maple neck with maple fretboard. Chrome licensed speedloader Floyd Rose. Cheap no brand tuners in a 4-2 config. 2 passive humbuckers with a 3 way switch and one volume knob in the true EVH style.

This is a very bright guitar. Even unplugged the guitar has a chime to it. Now even though its bright sounding its got a very full sound to it also. Suprisingly good sustain. There is certainly no growl anywhere in this guitar. Which is a goog thing I have other guitars for the growl. I run through a Peavey Ultra 60 112 and use a Behringer V-amp2 as an effects unit. The stock pickups on this guitar are just bad. Very noisey and flat sounding. I will be replacing them with some Duncans the first chance I get. I really wont know the guitars true potential until I get some new pickups but with the 3 way switch Im sure it will turn out pretty good.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I always set up all of my guitars when I buy them so I never really rate a guitar on factory setup however I will say the neck is just about near perfect could use a little bit of a back bow but its not off by much. The action was set higher then I like but thats a 30 second job with the floyd rose. The pickups were loose but that could've happened during shipping and it doesnt matter anyways because I will be pulling those pickups. There are a few flaws in the paint near the neck joint but I dont care about cosmetics on a guitar. A guitar is meant to make sound not sit there and be pretty.

This guitar certainly feels solid. There isnt any noise or wood creaking when you pick it up. The neck is really snug in the joint, you couldn't even fit a playing card in there. The fretboard has a very high gloss finish that I think will wear off in time. The hardware wont last because I'm replacing it all anyways. I dont gig but I think any guitar with care will last forever.

I havent had to deal with support on this guitar but I have emailed Kurt at rondo and anybody that has done that same will be able to tell you he answers any emails within a matter of minutes. He really works with you to help you with any problems. The bigger companies could really learn a lot from Kurt.

This guitar , with some help, could be a 10 however stock its just mediocre. Im dont regret buying it because I know for another 100 bucks this guitar will rival the $1500 Peavey version. If it were stolen I would buy another one.
