2006 China sunburst finish, 2 single coil passive jazz bass model. maple neck is great, rosewood board. tuners are cheap chrome you won't want to hit them on anything, but they keep in tune. pots work but are scratchy.

just gigged with it, the sound got rave reviews from band mates and club owner. the fretless aspect lets you explore slides and double stops that rival an upright. the pots are kind of scratchy, but once sound's dialed in don't adjust much. get a good sound from blending 2 pups to your liking.
i'm a guitarist by nature and playing bass in a sax, percussion and (now) bass/vocal trio. scouted for basses, used to own a peavey millenium 5-string, not bad, but from a playing standpoint deduced that the short scale jazz and fretless combo was exactly what i needed. this guitar is fabulous. it's the kind of neck you want to spend a lot of time with.

i always gig without a back up and highly recommend it. the tuners and the pots could be upgraded and someday might be.
