this a late 80s Sadowsky that was renecked by Sadowsky and put for sales on his website. pickups are HSH with a 5 way selector and push/pull pot for single coil sounds on the Humbuckers. It is made in New York by Roger Sadowsky and features fine tuners, I believe Sadowsky pickups and a beautiful flame maple top

Sound : 10
I play all sorts of music (blues, jazz, rock, pop, classical etc.) and I must say that for any electric sound this guitar has it. I run it on a Polytone and a Mesa Boogie Mark IV. I also sometimes play on a small crate tube amp and Roland JC90. The guitar is dead quiet and is very versatile for sounds, thanks to the coil splitter and the three pickups. It can be twangy like a tele or hard edged a la Les Paul, with a lot of things in between. I have always been a BIG 335 fan (I have 1 Gibson, 3 Ibanez, 2 Yamaha, and I have been looking at a Washburn HB35S which sounds great for the price), but this is of my 30 odd guitars my favorite. I feel like I have finally found guitar nirvana

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar was built in 88 and I recently bought it used after Roger Sadowsky changed the neck and set it up. It was ready to be played when it arrived and has no flaws whatsoever (other than it has been played for over 12 years). The sound is phenomenal and the crafstmanship is better.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar looks practically new and is over 12 years old, that should answer the question about durability. In addition, Roger is know to have excellent service, so unlike some of the known brands, he will take the time to answer questions and fix whatever needs to be fixed. Nothing so far. The hardware is black and basically looks new. I would not use it without a backup, because it is silly, but this is THE guitar I play (again out of 30)

Customer Support : 10
I have discussed with the company when I bought the guitar and they were very helpful and honest in describing the guitar.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 27 years on and off, and lately it's been mostly on. I have the 335 discussed above, plus a Gibson 135, a Heritage 575 custom (if you are in the market for a jazz guitar don't miss it), an Ibanez George Benson GB10, a 175 copy from Ibanez, A Peavey Wolfgang and Steve Cropper (great guitar), two carvins including an HBII (nice sounding semi hollow), a few acoustics, including a Dell Arte Macafferi/Selmer type (fantastic guitar), as well as several Godin, which I think provide the best bang for the buck (and they are good players too, I told my nephew to get one). I forgot I have a vintage Stratocaster (early 80s, bought used in 1988) and Telecaster 52 reissue. On the gear side I have the amps discussed above and also a big muff, a digitech rp7, a roland gr30, and various sundry pedals . I also play piano, but my first love is guitar. I can't think of a better guitar. If it was stolen I would sell as many guitars as needed to get a new one, and in fact, once I am flush again and have chance to make it to NYC (New Yorkers are on our mind and in our prayers), I will probably order a new one, strat style SSH.
As some of you know, this is Walter Becker's guitar, and though I feel silly making that a factor, as a huge Steely Dan fan, I started investigating the guitar after seeing him play it and after some research got started with a used one.
