same thing as a les paul.. thick sound... i use it with a boson engineering hm 100 effects pedal... i used it in different aps on stage, even in a kareoke...the stock pickups has a verry good sound its just that its more like a microphone. i mean i like it when a guitar hums but it sounded like a microphone echo... in all my guitars, i place the volume to the fullest and thats what you get from the pickups... so i changed the bridge pick up to one of my guitars stack pick ps(from a genesis series guitar). and now it sounds great no more echo like sound from a microphone.before it was 4 now 8

I own a Sakura Les Paul copy. Apparently Sakura is an English guitar maker, active around the 70's. Perhaps in London ! i bought mine from a guitar teacher. It has an excelent action, and has been described as being better than a gibson by two separate people. i lent it to someone about 5 years ago though....so have not seen it for a while ( i play accoustic ).

made 2004 I think, where? no idea, there's no label anywhere on it, but my guess is Korea or China. I paid 100 quid for it, new, on ebay. It's a Les Paul knock off in tobacco sunburst with 2 humbuckers, but with a bolt on neck and slimline body. I think that it's a laminated top and taking the rear covers off the wood inside is "pine like" in colour and feel, the guitar is light for a LP so that would be about right. The neck I think is rosewood and the guitar has usual 2 volume and 2 tone controls. All hardware is gold plated although much of the tune-o-matic bridge looked very second rate. Finish is ok and the guitar is very good looking overall.

for 100 quid what do you expect! Pickups are ok but nothing to write home about - good practice sound

well this guitar didn't score so well in this dept. Action is way too high, I've set it as low as it can go and it's still over 2mm. Truss rod is all the way out and still there's hardly any relief in the neck. But having said that it doesn't play that badly and there's not too much buzz, although impossible to set intonation accurately on B string. Bridge metal is corroded in places and really is low grade.

I wouldn't take this on stage - fullstop.

been playing for quite a few years (but still no good)but cannot say that I recommend this guitar or would buy another - if anyone finds out anything about this make of guitar then I would be interested to hear it. But a decent practice guitar for someone (like me) who loves Les Pauls and wants a cheapie to mess about with
