Made in Indonesia, 22 frets, solid top, 1 volume, 1 tone 3 way selector two humbucker pickups transparent finish cutaway style non locking grover tuners thin neck with jumbo frets came with strap and cable. Fairly good features, I really like this guitar, it is my first electric.

This guitar suits the country and rock that I play very well. have had no problems with it as of yet, I play it with a peavey rage and it does pretty good, you get some bad feedback if you turn up the distortion and stand anywhere in front of the amp. It has good rich sound to it. the guitar can make a pre6tty wide variety of sounds. It needs more volume and tone controls, and another pickup, I like the slim neck and the body, good guitar.

Very tight fit, nothing is loose or rattling, everything seems to work okay so far, there were no flaws in the guitar.

Yes I thingk this guitar would stand live playing and come out with nothing damaged, however it might knock it out of tune, the strap buttons are okay but i got a bad strap for it. This guitar is great but they could make a few tiny improvements.

Playing style mostly blues and probably a little bit of progressive rock. I feed my guitar through a KORG MEFX 1500G into a Marshall Valvestate 40 watt amp. Didnt like the original pickups as they did not give enough power during gigs, very bassy and muddy. Changed the pickup's and I got the sound I wanted. This guitar produces very much of the Santana PRS tone. A very good guitar for playing lead but not rhythm, due to the built of the guitar.

The best thing I find in this guitar is the playability. Thin neck, ideal fret size and an ideal string tension (easy bending/vibratos/string control).
Seldom use the tremolo bar. This guitar stays in tune regularly. Like the body finish and light weight. Very user friendly volume/tone knobs but pickup selector, unfortunately produces some noise when switching pickups at high volumes.

Would say its a reliable guitar. So far had no problems with it other than its tone.

Have been playing for 5 years now. Also owns a Fender Deluxe Californian Strat. Didnt find the strat better than the Samick in terms of playability (probably its personal preference), although the strat has a wonderful clean tone (original pickups). It would definately be my favourite guitar now unless I really find a reason for changing it.

2001 Made in Korea PRS-style guitar. Alder body with quilted maple laminate top. 1 volume, 1 tone, 3 way switch for the 2 Duncan Designed humbuckers. Rosewood fingerboard on maple set-in neck. Wilkinson tremolo with Grover tuning machines. The only feature I would have liked is coil splitting.

I play mainly Jazz/Latin guitar stuff through my Mesa Studio Caliber. Usually I put a Boss CS-3 compressor in between the guitar and the pre and a Boss SD1 overdrive in the loop. The neck position is very jazzy, while the bridge pickup is very twangy (probably due in part to the Wilkinson). Sounds awesome- very much like a "good" PRS custom 22 or CE24. Some might suggest switching the Duncan Designed pickups to real Duncans, but I think they sound great for this guitar. Also, the Samick guys obviously put the right electronics (e.g. resistors at the pots) for this guitar/pickup setup. Sounds terrific- especially for the Santana style. I do like the compressor (or a Big Muff Compressor/OD) for this guitar to give it a bit more sustain (since it has a vibrato). However, on its own, the guitar has good sustain for a vibrato-equipped model- for those who want more, Samick apparently makes one with a tune o matic.

Excellent! Frets were crowned perfectly, finish was as good as anything I've seen by PRS, Ibanez or Gibson. Nut was fine, trem was set up and intonated perfectly, and action was way low.

It seems pretty durable- only time will tell. But the parts (e.g. Grovers and Wilkinson) are top notch. The jack is very positive-feeling, and the pots and switch are smooth and silent!

Has a lifetime limited warranty. Has address and *phone number* on tag for customer service! Called Samick USA in California to ask a question and talked to the VP of US stringed instruments! Way cool and helpful.

I have been playing 20 years now. I have an Ibanez Artist and a Prestige SC620, a Strat, and a Vintage Ibanez Roadstar. I had considered Samicks to be toys (see the Josie and the Pussycats Ads) and had never taken them seriously. But one day, I found myself in a music store that carried them and tried it out. Blew my mind! So I ordered one right away (with the Wilkinson). When I got a look at it, my jaw dropped it was so beautiful. I have been looking to but a PRS in the $1500 range, but after playing this, I can honestly say that the PRS is not on my list. The Samick has the nicest neck I've ever played- thin and flat like an Ibanez artist or Les Paul Classic (wish it had an ebony fretboard though). Plus there's almost no neck heel (take that PRS!). I had looked at a PRS Santana SE for comparison, but I found the quality to be abysmal- poorly crowned frets and shaky switches. Plus the Santana SE isn't half as visually appealing, costs 50% more, and doesn't have the same high quality aftermarket parts. If stolen, I'd but another in a heartbeat. Plus they're so reasonably priced, it wouldn't be too much of a hardship.
Seriously- if you encounter this guitar TRY IT. Just keep an open mind- Samick probably manufactured the guitar you have right now under another name (like epiphone). There is no question in my mind that the Greg Bennett signature series is the best value for the money. And even when compared to similar type guitars at higher price points it stands on its own. I would unreservedly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a PRS-style ax.
