Samick Blues saraceno Radio Ten

Pretty basic features. Mine has 2 Humbuckers and is a fixed bridge. Black hardware with a maple fretboard that is just awesome. The funkiest 90s Hot Red finish. Almost pinkish. I am a complete metal head and most of my guitars are black or dark. This one is my brightest guitar! I love it though. SO funky. I keep this guitar across the country just for when I go out and visit my family. Boy do I miss it from time to time. Didn't NEED much as far as features go so I'll give it a 10 here for having everything I need in a guitar I only play every 4-5 months.

Sound is perfect for what I wanted to do with it which is almost anything. I am a complete metal nut and mostly you can find me playing such. Every once in a while however I gotta go back to my roots with blues/classic rock/noodlin' type stuff and this guitar just NAILS it. The pickups are hot but clean up nicely. Clear enough for a $260 guitar thats for sure. Very good sounding instrument. Not the best I've ever heard in my life but for the price of these used who's complaining? It's a bright guitar with the maple neck and alder??? body. Not sure what the body is but it is bright. Too bright to be a gigging metal guitar but it definitely gets the job done at home for me.

I got this used so I have no idea what Samicks play like from the factory. However this is the nicest playing guitar I own. I have 3 custom Dean MLFs, Ibanez RG7620, and a S7420. I've also got an Epiphone Les Paul Special Limited. I own a Samick SG and a Fender MIM Strat as well. This guitar pisses me off because I payed so little for it yet it performs head and shoulders above any of my other guitars. I sat down with this guitar in the store and instantly was amazed. I'm not sure if its all stock or not since I have not played another Samick before. If it's stock though then + $Texas to Samick for making such amazing guitars for cheap.

Feels very light but very solid. It gets moved around while I'm not there to play it and it has made it through a few trips. I'd say 9 based on what I've seen so far. Could be a little chunkier I guess.

I've been playing guitar for a while. I play metal. I play out. I love guitar and guitar collecting. This is a total diamond in the rough. If you can find one cheap jump on it. Great value on these bad boys. I really can't find anything to complain about since all I use it for is playing at home every couple months when I visit my family. If it were stolen or lost I would replace it. I want one to keep at my house for myself! Just haven't found a good deal on another yet. I don't make reviews on guitars. I had to for this one. My other guitars are very nice but they should be as they cost me a bunch of money. This one was just a great surprise.

Not sure when iot was made - I got mine in 96. There were 2 pickups, unbranded jobbies, which have been lifted and replaced with a single Invader (OMFG - awesome pickup ;) ).
Had a single volume and 3 way selector, the latter has been removed.
Glossy black finish, well somewhere under the stickers!
Has a Fender style tremelo with the arm removed cos it gets in the way and a fairly fat neck, tho still as comfy as my Jackson.

I got mine with a hard case and padded leather strap which pushed the price up a tad, Ibelieve the guitar alone was #260ish

I used this guitar as my primary for gigging for over 3 years in a grunge band and it suited it perfectly, even down to the slightly odd shape of the guitar.
The standard pickups were a tad on the bassy side and had a pretty low output, which the Invader has cured.

This has to be my fav guitar in my collection.

I'm a stickler for speed. The original setup was pretty good as the guy in the shop it was from did all the setting up himself - but I knew it could be better...

Many years on and it's as easy to thrash about the neck on this as it is on my Jackson, the action's low as hell and without buzz. None of the doriginal hardware has rusted, but then again very little of the original hardware is still on the guitar!

My guitar is a 97 model I believe, its been too many years. It has 22 frets, 2 humbuckers and a strat type bridge with a 3 way selecter, it has samick tuners, nothin fancy.

The sound is a bit bright due to the maple neck. I play through fenders and marshalls. Band mates comment on how well it cuts through the mix.

When I went to the music store I had no intention of buying a guitar. I was just pulling stuff off the wall and trying them out. I grabbed the samick and could not believe how well it played and stayed in tune for 250 bucks.

I have gigged with this guitar. It is a durable guitar, I have used it without a backup.

I have been playing for 17 years, gigged all over the mid-west. I own a heavily modded srat that is my main guitar a les paul and a pair of kramers.I use my samick as a practice guitar on almost a daily basis.For 250 bucks I feel I got my monies worth.That to me is the best thing about this guitar,a good playing guitar that stays in tune. I bet there is alot of guys out there with their thousand dollar guitars that cant claim that.Like I said above the sound is not the ultimate in tone, but remember how much your paying.If the guitar were lost, I cant say that I would be devistated,on the other hand it would be a little challenge to find a good replacement that cheap.

This guitar was korean made. It came stock w/ two duncan designed humbuckers, stock strat type bridge and generic tuning machines. It is white w/ red plaid top and white binding on the top. It has a super fast neck with big, beefy frets. I later replaced the stock pickups w/ active Emg's that were able to be coil tapped...think they are 89's, if i remember correctly. I have push pull pots in the volume and tone position. THIS THING SCREAMS!!! Anything from Tele to Les Paul tones can be achieved. I also added Sperzel locking tuners.

I play country, blues, and southern rock. Like I said:" THIS THING SCREAMS!" I've played it through a Gallien Krueger, Marshall, Twin Reverb, Mesa Boogie, an ols Ampeg Gemini, and a very rare PRS Harmonic Generator HG70 head w/ a 4X12 PRS cab. It is unbelievable through them all

I was sold on this guitar because of the neck. It had that " Already broken in" feel to it when it was brand new. The plaid finish isn't for everybody, but I like it. The binding job was done well, but the binding itself had some finish flaws in it....little black specks.

I've had this guitar since the early 90's and it has never failed me....I replace the battery about once every 6 months and can get 2 nights out of a fresh set of strings.

Never neaded it....I work on my own stuff.

This is a very cool guitar, but I've put more $ into electronics and tuners than most would have spent on the guitar. In my opinion, It was worth every penny. It is truely unique and I doubt I'll ever see another one tricked out like this particular one. Not even from Blues himself.

Made in Korea. 22 Frets. Solid Top. One volume knob. H/H/ pickup configuration. Maple neck. Raid Red. Standard Strat style trem. Non-locking Samick tuners. Maple neck has Baseball Bat feel.

The guitar suits my style.
Neck has been adjusted and all strings stay in tune now. Eating my own words since repair, so I am making correction to former post.

Set up well from factory. Pickups were as well. No known flaws in construction.

Will stand up live.
Hardware will last.
Finish is great.
Solid strap buttons.
Can depend on guitar.
Still would use a back-up guitar. Makes sense in a live situation.

I gave a poor review previously on this guitar. After adjusting the neck, the guitar changed into one nice playing guitar. I therefore found it necessary to correct this error.
All the other information on my last review still stands. Still own same equipment, etc. But I wanted to correct this error, because after neck adjustment, the guitar now stays in tune and delivers.
Over time I will definitely be scouting out another couple of these guitars (Radio10/T.V.20) to add to my collection.
Great guitar, once I made the minor neck adjustment. Most likely caused by adverse weather conditions over a seven year span.

Unsure the year it was made. Made in Korea. Has 22 frets. Solid body with 1 Volume knob, H/H pickup configuration. Maple neck. Body painted Raid Red. Looks like a Tele or Music Man EVH with the lower horn cut off. Standard Strat style tremolo. Neck similar to a baseball bat feel.

The Radio 10 suits me for a backup guitar, though I would use it for primary, but have a Wolfgang I love. I use whatever effect called for, have a bag of them, but also have a Zoom 505II I use after my Rat pedal fizzled out after 15 years of use. Ran through to either Yamaha mixing board or a 1970's Kustom Tuck and Roll amplifier head.
Pickups have a deeper sound as compared to other guitars.
The only dislike is that the G string goes out of tune when I bend it too hard. I am quite a hard player sometimes, but even when I just do a lick with a bend it will go out.

The action is nice, though it cannot go any lower. The pickups were set in the cavity well. With no flaws.

The guitar can withstand anything, with the exception of the G string going out of whack, but I am used to it. Hardware is sturdy. Finish is sturdy as well. Solid strap buttons. I have no complaints on it reliability. You could get by with my guitar if you strummed and not solo'd. In the studio it is most reccomended as you can always fix the detuned G string without notice, But live I would use a backup for my guitar. Though I use the Samick for my backup.

No need. And since they quit making them. Would be pointless.

I have been playing for 20 years. I own a 1950's Gibson L1 acoustic, Shecter/Warmoth strat. Peavey Wolfgang Standard with Trem/D~Tuna, a cheap classical guitar by Harmony. Zoom 505II, and a bag full of other FX. Nady Wireless. Kustom Tuck and Roll 1970's 100 watt amp, 2 small cheap practice amps, and various other instruments of varying types.
If the Radio 10 was stolen or lost I would buy a Wolfgang Special.

ok, i bought it new in '99, made in korea (i think, but it doesnt really matter)22 frets basically no different from the other reviews, lovely black finish thats still good.

gos good through my korg, really nice action, a joy to play, strings dont last long though. i play alot of rock/industrial/gothic/blues/grunge/mellow shit i make up as i go along. handles everything i throw at it with ease

action was good, pick ups needed a tweak as they didnt 'ride' the strings quite as well as i liked. no real flaws. i think the sales guy was a lover of guitars and sorted them all out before putting on sale

been playing for 15 years, got a korg ax1g aswell. tend to play it at my pc and mix it up. if i lost it i would like to buy another one but i cant find any in sydney, would buy the best i can afford.
its just a nice guitar to play, at the end of the day thats all you want. better than my ibanez(but thats really old) bets one i've owned really.

this guitar was made in Korea. It has 22 frets, 2 samick passive hum, a 3 way pickup selector, 1 volume and a vintage tremolo. The neck is thin and not bad. No accessories with it.

I use it with a Park G10 (which is very bad...) The sound is quite good, this guitar is not too noisy. You can have a good clean sound but it's better with a lot of distortion.

the pickups needed to be adjusted because they couldn't catch the strings... The bridge needed heavy repairs too... The tremolo is noisy but you can't do anything to avoid it! The selector is noisy too... The finish is tough: it's hard to scratch it.

I use it a lot and i'm afraid this won't last. I'll need to change all the frets soon, and the bridge is not reliable at all... I used to break at least one string a week!!! I had to bring it to the repairman a lot of time. Now it's a bit better but i wouldn't use it for a gig: you can't depend on it...

I tried to contact them but they never answered...

I own this guitar for only 6 months and I'll have to change it soon : the repairs it needs cost more than the guitar itself! I definitly won't buy another Samick guitar. I think i'll buy an ESP or a Lag. If you play more than one hour a week, be prepared to change your strings everyday! I don't recommend it to anyone except beginners who do not play often...

Though it is not the best blues saraceno has made a great guitar it is nothing like anything today. its not a tv twenty! it has a volume nob 3 way selecter it came with a strap and strings its thin with a maple neck perfect for any kind of music it gives it that edge i play all diffrent kind of music. it has factory distortion pick ups 22 frets tuners are samick the guitar style is all of its own the finsh is a high glose

IT plays everything punk, country, rock, heavy Metal, grunge, ska, soft tones its bright and egey the guitar can make any sound i love playing punk music my amp is a creat G-20 Not a bad amp!

no warranty i bought it at a pawn shop i tryed to call the company but i couldnt get through

I have been playing it for four years now i also own a tec 8 dod multi-pedal a boss ds-1 distortion pedal to cords sound equitment crate G-20 amp a washburn BT-2.
if it was stolen id kill myself
i love everything about it
i chose this guitar because i loved the way it felt looked and played
