Samick CCT650 Closed Hollowbody

this is a white full hollowbody cutaway with painted on black F sound holes and bigsby style tremolo. I have also seem red ones on ebay. the humbucker pickups split and eack pickup has its own voulume and tone controls with pull knobs for splitting. the bridge is the floating "looks ebony" style that you find on jazz guitars. tuners and all hard ware are crome. neck is rather slinder with good size frets and plays very well. this guitar has the paralell slash marks one the fretboard like a gibson es175 and the whole things made in korea. has a white small pickguard which is the cheapest thing about it. for the money I must give it a nine. this guitar is truly a wok of art and is flawlessly put together. the binding is a bone color around the whole guitar agaist a snow white finish and is stunning. only the headstock is not bound.

well I play country and lite rock and some jazz runs and a lot in between. what I don't care for is muddy sounding or very weak pickups. this guitar has a very strong gretsch filtertron oriented bright sound with a lot of control over the pickups and the brightness can be toned down if you need two. the tones really work on both pickups and it is easy to get just about any sound with it.these pickups are very agressive and have a lot of balls for this type of guitar in the full humbucker mode although it is not a shreader. thouse far I am using it thruogh a line 6 flextone on the blackface sound and I am sure that this guitar will work with a lot of anmps.

well heres the thing cheap strings and baddddddd intonation of of the new box. action came high and if you get one of these new you might have to do some tweeking to get it right. no complaints elsewhere on the guitar is is superb.

this is a hollowbody and it is full hollowbody so it is a bit delicate from that prospective but it seems very well made and I would not fear using it alone.

hey I want all the guitars I see but I chose this one for its features and its beauty having faith that it would fit one of my many needs that I come up with to buy new guitars..ha ha.gotta have those excuses for the wife and the conscience ya know{: ya I would buy it back if something happened to it, its an amazing bargain compared to gibson and gretsch...it costs hundreds not thousands and it works and looks as good as a gretsch or a gibson of which I have had a few of each.it is also compitition for the yamaha aes 1500b of which I have also owned.
