Everything is on the Samick product website. What is not on the Samick website is that the guitar now is delivered with a Fishamn Clearwave 50 (includes a tuner). It's a solid cedar top. Made in Indonasia it says on the guitar paper label. Tuners are Gold Grovers.

I was looking for a guitar to play when I could not bring my amps, so I use this guitar mostly un-plugged. Has this nice warm acoustic sound, but not as warm as I expected (brand new strings tend to sound a bit too bright for my ears). I guess the sound will change a bit with aging.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Got it from the factore, tuned the strings and started playing never felt the need to change anything at all. I did not like the look of the fingerboard (i'm spoilt by the ebony of my Gretsch), could not find any other fault on the guitar at all.

Reliability/Durability : 8
It is as solid as an acoustic can be. Don't plan on buying a backup so it better be reliable.

Company actually replied to emails. They pointed me to a shop in the netherlands with great service, Got the guitar shipped in three day to my home. I have a 1 year warranty and a free set up.

Overall Rating : 9
I have mostly electric guitars (Gretsch Tenny, Gibson Les Paul, Fender Strat), so this is my first a/e guitar. I looked for many other brands but this was the one with the best overall value for money. I did like the Wechter Pathfinder looks but this was laminated top and twice the price of the Samick.

Made in 2004 in Korea. Has 20 frets and is a beautiful solid quartersawn cedar top, finish is just gorgeous. Im not sure what type of finish it has. It has a Fishman 4 EQ system with a piezo pickup. The sides and back are made of rosewood, im not sure if it Brazillian or Indian. It is a dreadnaught style cutaway. For the price this guitar has a ton of features, and looks very nice.

Sound : 8
I play mostly rock, and am starting to play some bluegrass. i play for my church and it sounds great for praise songs. It has a warm sound, not to loud, and the base tones come through nice. it sounds decent unplugged, and i think it sounds real nice plugged in, and the EQ gives it some versatility.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It looks nice, the neck is straight, and there are no cracks or blemishes that i can see. the saddle may be a little sloppy, not real tight, but im no expert.

Reliability/Durability : 8
ive only had it about a month, and so far it is dong nice. it has the big grover tuners so it stays in tune nicely, it seems very well built and i think will last for years. i used to have an epiphone acoustic, and this guitar looks much more solid.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
Overall rating for the money, and if you are starting out and serious about playing without being a recording star, this is great guitar. For the intermediate player (me) its great!
