Features : 10
This is one of Samick higher-end acoustics with the following:

D 16 CE FEATURES

Solid quarter sawn cedar top
Rosewood back and sides
Scalloped braces
Slotted square fret markers
6 ply maple binding
Gold Grover? tuners
Dreadnought cutaway
Acoustic/electric with Fishman? Classic 4 band EQ

I purchased it in 2004 for $399 from Union Music in Worcester.

Sound : 10
I play mostly singer/songwriter tunes ranging from Richard Shindell to Ellis Paul with some originals. I have Elixers on it and it sounds great. The top has really opened up in the past year and the neck it great for finger picking. It doesn't have the woody sound of my Martin or quite the power of the Garrison, but it has a great balanced sound that people have remarked upon.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I had it set-up at Union Music by Dave (the Great) guitar tech., so I don't know about the factory set-up. It's a beautiful and unique looking guitar. I was at a singer/songwriting school in Colorado last Summer and a number of people commented on it's look.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've played it live and will continue to do so. It's rock solid and I've played it out without a back up many times.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't used it, but I'd be more likely to deal with the store I bought it from first.

Overall Rating : 10
I picked the guitar back up almost 3 years ago and have been buying gear and improving my skills daily. This is my second Samick. I traded my Samick J5-CE in when I bought my Martin, and I wish I hadn't. It's not that I don't love my Martin, but that I had a great guitar and sold it for very little money. In retrospect I should have just kept it. I love the D16 for a couple of reasons. The first is that it's a great guitar and the second is that it's so inexpensive that I can take it on a plane and not totally panic if I have to check it in it's hard case. If it did get destroyed or stolen I'd mourn and then go out and buy another just like it...or maybe two.
