This (diamond series) 006 was made in the USA, 2000. 22 fret rosewood neck, one volume, one tone, three-way pickup switcher. The neck pickup is a single coil, while the bridge pickup is a humbucker, both Duncan Designed, and sound exsquisite. The body is uniquely shaped (strat with docked horns)with a black satin finish which looks nice. String-thru body with non-locking, very stable, Grover tuners. Jumbo frets on a rosewood fretboard, diamond pearl inlays.
Sound

I play many different styles of music including Progressive, Metal, Blues, Funk, Jazz, and Rock. I've used it with too many amps to count, and it maintains its quality sound on all of them. On my Marshall AVT50 Head the distortion can get a little feedback when set on the neck pickup, but otherwise fine.
I get a variety of sounds out of this guitar, the humbucker can crank out great heavy metal sounds when distorted and gets decent clean sounds across the board. My only concern is that there isn't much of a change in tone when selecting either the neck pickup or both at the same time. The humbucker has the most defined sound, and I use it often.

I've never had to make any adjustments to this guitar in the 4 or so years I've owned it, factory setup was flawless. I have not opened up the volume pots yet to clean them, but both have stayed smoothly moving. The action is about mid-level and the guitar is comfortable to sit down and stand up with. The only thing about the body I find uncomfortable about this guitar is the lack of any smoothness near where it continually contacts near the elbow.

This guitar is built like a tank. It has taken two major falls (both at the fault of the same moronic vocalist) but shows almost no wear or scratches. The finish remains largley unchanged through the 4 or so years I've owned it. The neck, after excessive playing has become very smooth and more comfortable to slide up and down, a nice surprise. This has been my main guitar ever since I purchased it, I can always depend on it, and use it often at gigs without a backup. I love this guitar so much I am considering purchasing a Blackjack 006 simply to have a backup with a 24 fret neck.

I can't say enough good things about this guitar, I love it to death. If it were lost or stolen it would definitley be replaced with another 006 model, perhaps a blackjack or another diamond series if I could find it. I've played quite a few guitars in my time as a musician (roughly 5 years) and this guitar is by far the most comfortable I have ever owned. I wouldn't change a thing about this guitar. I was skeptical about Schecter at first, having been warned by some people they were nothing more than B.C. Rich concepts gone bad. I can now say with full confidence that Schecter makes quality lasting guitars, and ranks way up there with Gibson, Fender, and PRS, in my humble opinion.

The schecter 006 has a rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, mahogany body, grover machine heads, duncan designed humbuckers, three way pick up selector and a volume knob and tone knob. The colour is matt black. I got no gig bag with it though oh well.

This guitar suits quite well with the style of music i play which is rock (early feeder type stuff but a bit heavier). This guitar sounds great with some serious distortion especially through my marshall 100dfx where the guitar also sounds good with the crunch on, sounds good through the laney fusion range which i use at the recording studio. When the schecter is on clean it still sounds quite clean which you wouldnt really expect for a metal guitar (especially when youve got aan acoustic effect on it).

It came out the box sounding great no problems with the electronics or hardware, but on the body which is its big downfall the finish was coming all ready revealing that orange coloured thing underneath (could someone tell me what that is cus i dont think thats the wood) but it does look cool with that cool black colour and orange round the edge though lol.

I had one big problem when my volume knob turned into a tone knob and when ever a turned it up all the way it crackled so much it was horrible but thats now been sorted. As i have have already sed a slight knock and the finish is gone and it dents so easy but who cares if it doesnt damage its sound plus it gives it character. The strap buttons are fine but now the action as dropped and on my top e im getting some serious fret buzz. This guitar so reliable on stage though, but at one gig i used it at i got so much feed back it was untrue i had to practically walk off the stage to play with know feedback but i hope that wasnt the guitar just the poor sound engineer.

i play alot of metal-rock and the bridge pickup works really well it sounds really good, but when turned up really loud it starts to get a bit muddy but its better than most ive heard. im playin through a marhsall sl-x head and 1960AV vintage cab, really nice, sounds like budda on hot cakes thru it.

came out of the box with the action a tad bit high, but i lowered it and its flying now... other than that all is good.

this thing dents very easily...just a slight tap against the wall or the desk makes a dent in but ive never had a problem playing through it and ive had it for about a 1 year and a half. the paint on the head around the edges already scraped off pretty easily but not on the body. I would be depend on it during a show easily, and i already have but i always bring a backup no matter what guitar i play

this is a korean made guitar, with duncan design Humbucker pickup in the bridge and a sc in the neck. it's got a three way selector switch and vol and tone controls. it has a hardtail bridge (not sure if thats the correct term, it's strat style, except no wammy bar and no floyd rose) I really like the grover tuners. I can do bends and vibros all day and they don't go out of tune.

i play a lot of heavy distorted music (punk, rock, metal) and the bridge pickup works great for that, also i've recently joined a friends band playing alternative rock stuff with little or no distortion or overdrive, and i find that the neck single coil works good with that. sounds kinda like my strat but less twangy.

The guitar's action was dope, right out of the box. the first time i played it i loved the way it felt, however there was a weird sound when i played the 3rd string and upon closer examination i noticed that the nut was poorly cut and the string would vibrate against it when i played it, but i changed the nut and it plays perfectly now

I've had it for a little more than a year and a half now, Some of the wires came loose a couple months ago and i had to solder them back in place. and the body is a little banged up, this guitar is very light and dents very easy. and one of the strap buttons has already fallen off and the hole was too stripped for me to screw it back in so i had to superglue it. I completely love this guitar when it's working well, but It does seem like its damaged easially (as opposed to my strat, which has survived a hell of a beating and is still going strong). I have never played a gig on this guitar without a backup and probably never will. If i were a rich rockstar who could afford a new guitar every show, i'd like to try some classic rockstar guitar smashing after a gig, cause i bet this guitar would smash real good.

eh... I hate dealing with the companies i've found that in the past it's been more trouble than its worth, so i've never actually talked to this company, who knows, they could be real good, but i just perfer to fix minor problems with the guitar myself.

overall this guitar has a great sound and i love playing it. I've been playing for about 5 years now, this guitar has a good sound and i use switch between using it and my strat a lot, i'm not saying either one has a "better" sound they both have different sounds. I play this guitar through my crate 212 combo and a bunch of pedals (this thing really comes alive with a metalzone on the bridge pickup setting) If this guitar were stolen or lost i'd probably buy something else, probably a gibson SG but not because i don't like the guitar, it's just i enjoy trying out new things and i've been wanting to try an SG for a while now. Over all this is a great guitar for a pretty good price, as long as you don't mind fixing the damages that will probably happen to it over the years

I got a used Schecter 006, satin black, 2 duncan design pickups, neck SC, bridge HB, 1 vol, 1 tone, 3 pos switch, string thru bridge, grover tuners, the same as any you'd find in a catalog or in the store.

Soundwise, this guitar is killer. The stock pickups are the best I've ever heard. I used to spend more time with a soldering iron trading out EMGs, Duncans, Carvin and other pickup models among my other guitars, but I have had absolutely no desire to change these. The bridge pickup is one of the hottest pickups I've encountered (bear in mind I'm an EMG-81 fan) and sounds great distorted. Its not the best clean sounding, but the neck single coil more than makes up for it. Its not twangy like a fender, but full and thick. I used to be of the "put it in the bridge position and forget about it" school of thought, but this thing has me flicking that switch constantly.

I'm unsure of how the guitar arrives from the factory, as mine was used, and I mean USED! Its got its share of nicks and dings. One of the few complaints I have is the neck finish. Like most guitars, it comes with a super glossy neck, and I absolutely hate that! One of the only modifications I've done to this guitar is lightly sand the finish of the back of the neck, and with that done, its become my favorite feeling neck. I use slightly heavier than normal strings (10-52) but did not have to adjust the action in the slightest.

This sucker is S O L I D. I'm unsure of the finish's reliability, as mine is rather beat up and I don't know what the previous owner subjected it to. The bridge pickup mounting ring was also broken. I replaced the strap buttons with a DiMarzio Clip-Lok strap, but they seemed decent enough. Very dependable, stays in tune amazingly (I counted the tuner ratio, and got 19:1!) The only reason I'd take a second guitar to a show with this one is for a second tuning.

I've been playing for 10 years or so, many different styles. This guitar is the tops. I own an Epiphone Les Paul, Jackson PS4, Charvel Randy Roads model, Fender Mustang, Yamaha RGX121D, and recently aquired a Yamaha RGX 420 Drop 6. The Schecter blows all of them away besides the Drop 6, which is a baritone and not really comparable. It sounds every bit as thick as the Les Paul while weighing half as much, plays twice as well as the Charvel or Jackson, and looks 10 times as good as any of them.

i ordered the satin grey and expected it to be pretty cool looking but when i opened the box my jaw dropped. most beautiful looking guitar i have ever seen, pictures don't do this finish justice. everything was pretty much perfect out of the box, it was even in tune. great action and setup on this one straight out of the factory, i didn't even have to tweak it.

i have the 007 as well and they hold up very good. very stable, the paint finish on these things are good, they don't scratch easily. very reliable guitars. never had anything break at all (besides the input jack nut coming loose which happens on every guitar i've ever owned).

i've been playing guitar nearly 12 years, and i've gone through it all. fender, peavey, ibanez, gibson, and yes, my favorite by FAR out of all of these are my schecters. i own the 006 and the 007, and my other guitars don't get much use anymore, i'll never buy anything other than a schecter again.. they just 'feel' right when you're playing them, and the most imporant thing to me is to have a guitar that feels good to play. second most important thing is that they sound good and have good tone. i can get nice clean tones to scrape-your-face-on-the-concrete metal tones all in one package.. and the price! $419 total for this thing! i almost feel like i've done something wrong! bottom line, this thing looks great, sounds great, and plays great. get it and you will NOT be disappointed.

Incredible. I was blown away. I played it through a Peavey XXX head, with a peavey 4x12 Cabinet. Just incredible, killer distortion, for all the metal-heads such as myself, plus with the neck pickup you get an amazingly clean, beautiful, cool, full tone. Works both ways brilliantly.

I have been looking to buy a Fender Telecaster PLus. I love the look and feel of Telecasters, and that one had a humbucker in the bridge for all my metal needs. But those things are Pricey. So this guitar just brought everything i need to me, without costing me an arm and a leg. Light weight. Thats very good, for me who tends to get that huge adrenaline rush on stage and tends to wip around the guitar, (it doesn't fly off). Nice neck, Set in(i believe), 14" scale. A very comfortable guitar. Incredible sound. I don't think i would change a thing, maybe some white flame graphics would be nice. I would rather use my strat for the clean eerie stuff that I do, but the 006 would work well in accompniament with a trebley fender part. VERY VERY impressed with this guitar, despite that fact that it is made in korea, (i guess thats better than indonesia). You want my advice? If oyu can't decide if you want to play metal/Hard Rock or that radiohead/Godspeed you black emperor! stuff, than you should by this guitar. Nice job Schecter!

my schecter 006 was made in 2001 in korea. it has 22 frets. it has a solid top. it has one volume control, one tone control, and a 3 way pickup selector because it has a single coil pickup and a humbucker pickup both made by duncan. it has a satin finish.it has a strat shape but its more cutout to reach some more notes.it doesnt have locking tuners though. it has a thin neck with jumbo frets. the neck is made of rosewood.i didnt get anything with it.

im a beginner. ive been playin for about half a year and i think this guitar sounds great.i play metal like metallica and some rock like staind. maybe punk rock like sum41 or blink 182. thats why i like having the humbuckers for metal and the single coil for punk.i like distortion but i also like a clean sound. i played it with distortion i like it alot. its not that noisy unless u want it to be.it has a rich sound. this guitar can play metal, punk rock,or rock. i like this guitar alot.

I really like this guitar for the heavily distorted style of hardcore punk that i play. it sounds very good with distortion so if that is the kind of music you like then this guitar is good. it plays alright clean as well. if it got stolen i would probably buy the 006 elite or the schecter C-1 elite, but i would definately stick with schecter, they seem to make good guitars, and the guy from papa roach plays the C-1 so it must be pretty good too. this guitar is a good value for the money.
