This is a Strat style semi-hollow body. The mahogany body is chambered out with two f-holes in the flame maple top. Flame maple on the headstock too. Mine is a beautiful red color. Gold hardware with Grover tuners. Duncan designed dual HB pups. Two volume and two tone controls. The tone controls have a pull tap feature which converts the pups to single coil. Three way selector on the upper horn. Set neck is 3 piece mahogany. Cream color binding on the top, neck and headstock. Carefully crafted in Korea. The only features missing are a piezo in the bridge and active electronics. Few, if any, guitars in this price range have all of the features that this one does.
Sound
:10
The variety of sounds you can get from this guitar is amazing. With the coil tab feature there are eight different pick-up configurations. Add to that the separate volume and tone for each pup and you can get any tone you want. I mostly play through an Epiphone Valve Junior which only has a volume control. It's great because I leave the amp at one setting and use the guitar to change the sound. I find that the guitar sustains very well too.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
No obvious flaws anywhere. Very high quality, particularly for the price. The frets are nicely polished and finished at the ends. Perfect application of the binding.
Reliability/Durability

Everything appears to be sturdy, but I'm not a pro so I can't say if I'd gig without a back-up. I've had the guitar for a few months and all is still just like new.

I bought this as a discontinued model for a lot less than 1/2 of the list price. I've been playing for 30 years, but mostly acoustic. My son has a Parker Nite Fly and I find the Duncan designed pups on the Schecter have a higher output than the Dimarzios on the Parker. The guitar is somewhat unique as there aren't many like it. If this got lost or stolen, I'd get another. I really like the flexibility of the pick-ups. There is NOTHING that I don't like about the guitar. For the price, this is a steal.

this 2005 model offers a good quality finish, the body style is very comfortable, tuners are grovers so very reliable, 22-fret neck, with seymour duncan 'designed' pick ups. I will eventually replace these with Marco Pontillo hand made italian pick-ups (!!)

i play blues and rock. this guitar offers a flexible range of sounds that suit this style. I play thorugh a Peavey Classic 30 valve am and pedal-wise use a Route 66 unit from Visual Sound.

Some people may be put off by the fact that these guitars are manufactured in Korea, its worth noting that the final set up is in the US and for me, the action is the best aspect of this guitar. I noticed no flaws on the guitar although the top of one of the dial pots has come off - I didn't like them that mkuch anyway so I took the remaining 3 of too!
Reliability/Durability

this guitar is durable, readily replaceable, and as such fine for gigging. I think its a very dependable guitar, nice looking (very 'Schecter) andf above all, light as hell. its a real pleasure playing it, it feels just right. Perhaps the only thing I'd ask is that perhaps future versions offer the fender strat contoured back so it would sit better against my flank.

I've been playing for many years and have been lucky to try various guitars. I currently own 3 other lefty guitars: 1978 Gibson ES-335, and 2000 Fender Strat, and a 1984 Westone Rainbow II. In the past I've also owned a PRS Custom 22 and a 1982 Gibson Byrdland. Whilst the tone from the Schecter can'ty compare to the Gibsons, its nevergheless a great guitar. I'd recommend it in terms of value for money every time.

Carved out hollowbody,22 frets.Body and neck three piece mahogany, top maple. This is one beautiful guitar. I bought the black, stnning- what a deal. It would get a ten for sound except for the Duncan designed 101 pups. Out of the case it sounded good when cranked on guitar volume knobs set to ten wide open, but rolled back it sounded terrible and muddy. I thought to replace the pups (because it played so well, and sounded great unplugged) but after talking to my tech, he suggested adding capacitors to the volume knobs before throwing the pups away. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It sounds fantastic and warm at all stages of volume swell. I am giving a nine only because it would rival ANY guitar with real Duncans or similar.
Sound
:9
The coil tap and warm but defined hollow body sound is wonderful! After the capacitor mod, it sounds warm and thick. Great for blues, jazz, and hard rock. I don't think it could pull of metal, but that?s not for me. Not noisy at all, my strat makes more hum that the Schecters pups split. Growls and purrs, very defined, but I wish it had real Duncans to push it over the edge.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
There are no flaws unless I get REALLY anal. Binding is set perfect, finish is flawless. Fret work and neck are awesome. I had to raise the neck pup. I did have it set up, but I could have left that alone, except I had it in the shop for the capacitor mod.I will keep this for a long time. After the capacitor mod, it sounds warm and thick. Great for blues, jazz, and hard rock. I don't think it could pull of metal, but that?s not for me. This guitar is dark mean and sexy. I feel like I stole it! The 22 fret neck is awesome as well as the abalone inlays. Not gaudy as I feared. Everyone who sees it, (and I'm talking seasoned LA professionals) think it costs WAY more. If it didn't say Duncan designed and Diamond Series, I could say I paid two grand and pull it off!
Reliability/Durability

It is very well made. Hardware is solid (Grovers), finish is thick, for a normal gig I would not take a back up,except for string breakage etc.

I will keep this for a long time. I've been playing over thirty five years, and I know what?s good and what isn't. I was going to possibly pay over double for a PRS or custom made Carvin (which I loved), but I will not look back. This guitar rocks with class and attitude. Beauty, quality, and presence. I would definately buy it again. I wish it came with real Duncans, and it would get 10's everywhere.

Features are covered below. Semi-hollow body (actually it's the center block doesn't go through the body so the upper and lower chambers's are connected. I guess that makes it a real hollow body (not semi). It's essentially an archtop strat/LesPaul
I give the features a 10 because it has lots of them for the monty. I would have preferred a bone nut, and us made seymour duncans but hey for $599 I realize that what I have is awesome. I can always replace the nut and the pickups if I feel the need.
Splitting the pickups is just what you need to make this guitar the perfect hybrid between a les paul, and a strat. Add the hollow body and you also have aspects of the 335. Finally, the set neck so you can reach up to that 22nd fret with no problems. All in all, this is my dream guitar as it combines all the features I love into one instrument. The prices is just astonishing.
Sound
:No Opinion
It sounds like you'd expect. Totally toneful. I just took it to a blues jam and I played it for 3 tunes. I could not believe the tone I was getting. Granted the amp helped.
About 14 years ago I payed $1200 for a Fender strat Ultra. That was a lot of money back then (when gas was about 1.50). It had ebony fingerboard, and lots of features. But it lacked the tone. This guitar delivers.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
The action is very low. But not ridiculously low. For the blues I think I'll need to raise it, especially for using a slide. But for now I like it. The guitar comes with .10s for strings on it, so that adds even more tone. Having the action lower helps if your used to .9s. I think I'll keep the 10s for a while.
I looked all over. There was a truly minute bit of red overspray over one part of the binding but so minute only I could notice (we're talking one third of a a milimeter spot or two. Also there was a black spot on the neck where it joins the body and I think that's just the wood. In any case all of this is minute and I'm being really nitpicky. I mean REALLY nitpicky. The guitar is awesome. I even had a pretty well known pro (you've heard of him I bet) who was at this jam with a strat and I caught him staring at this thing. It's truly beatiful. Almost too buitiful if you know what I mean. I mean if you get up there on stage with a guitar like that people are immediatly thinking oh boy this guy is all flash - let's see what he can do. But then when you open her up and the tone pours out and you let them savor it, they get past the glitz and respect her for what she really is i.e. my dream guitar. Too bad she didn't cost $2 grand - I'd almost feel better about her. But she's no cheap date man. Most asian hollow bodies are half the price, so they've given you more than they usually do. Enjoy it. Don't worry that it's not US made. Rejoice in the fact that you're secure enough to know a good thing when you see one.

I've been playing for 30 years. It scary to say that. I've owned all sorts of guitars. Strats, Teles. When I was in my teens I owned a Guild s100 and then later in my 20's I had a Yamaha s1 (I think it's an S1 but I could be wrong on the model). The yamaha was the same double cutaway model that Carlos Santana used on the moonflower album. It had cutaways like an SG but thick like a less paul. It was all mahogany just like this Schecter. Both the Guild and the Yamaha had set necks and I never got used to the bolt ons when I moved up to Fenders (my old dream guitars). So, finding this guitar is like coming home. It's got all the features I've always wanted rolled up into one.
Currently I own 6 other guitars. This is my favorite electric. And it's definitely my favorite over all the electricks that I've owned over the years (and there have been many). There are a lot of ways you could cross a strat and a les paul and a 335. These guys did the tradeoffs as close to what I would have hoped for. BTW I've been watching schecters for a long time ever since I read an interview with Mark Knopfler where he went on and on about them. When I saw them making models similar to this I just waited and checked them out until they evolved into this. I had to wait past the inlay all over the fretboard - so much of it that you get confused. Past the girly inlays, past all that gaudy crap, until they made me this. It's like they had ESP. I'm very happy with it. I figure buying a model from Gibson (like the Johny A) or something for 3k would have not been as enjoyable as getting such a will built instrument for $599. I'm secure enough and knowledgable enough that I don't need to see Gibson or Fender on my headstock. She's perfect as she is.

The features have benn covered in other postings, so I wont go into to much detail. For me personally, this guitar has it all. The tonal range, the looks, the feel, the price. Superb!
Sound

The sound is almost infinite. I can dial up almost anything I want with a turn/pull of a knob. Soul, Class, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Punk, Country...... This guitar has a range like no other I have ever played. Incredible! I play it on a Line 6 Spider II 212. When I mic the amp and record to my Boss BR1180CD the recording is flawless. Perfect, almost studio quality.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
Mine was set-up perfect from the factory. I mean perfect. The action and intonation are spot on. I haven't adjusted the pickups, because I love the sound as is. I might experiment a little with the height to see what I get. The bookmatching on mine is absolutely perfect. Id di find two imperfections in the finish that I almost feel embarrased to mention. I 1/16 inch spot (looks like a bubble pop) and what appears to be a piece of fuzz under the finish. Probably no larger than 1/32 of an inch. I still give it a ten in this category.
Reliability/Durability

As far as reliability goes, I would definitely gig with this guitar. SOLID for a SH. The hardware is very nice. Gorver tuners string-thru body solid bridge. GOld finish will probably wear off over many years if not cared for correctly, but I got a handle on that. I would use this as my only stage guitar any day. NO BACK UP NEEDED.

I've been playing guitar 25 years now. (Damn that makes me sound old)
I also own a GIbson Les Paul, A Martin acoustic/electric, a 25 year old Takamine classical (very very fine guitar), a Peavey T-40 bass (I feel the Peavey T-40 is one of the most underrated instruments ever) A Fender acoustic and plenty of recording gear and effects. I have also owned Jacksons, Ibanez', PRS, Washburns, Cort. At this time in my life, this is my favorite guitar. I play it most, due to it's huge tonal range and excellent action and playability. If you have even THOUGHT about buying on of these. DO IT. Value for the price is unheard of. Grab one before others find out about this wonderful guitar.

I think you know the features by now. Not really anything else you could add except maybe a piezo bridge and I am not sure you would need one of those anyway.
Coil taps are wonderful things here. Can get the nice hummer sound of my newer 335's or the wonderfully magic tone of the older semi hollows before HB's came around. Equally beautiful in either realm.
Sound
:10
This guitar will match almost anything I wish to do. It has that raspy hollow tone that is the only thing that can sound right on some things.
There is something about the tapped sounds of this guitar that bring a new sound to bear. A sound kind of old and yet very new depending on amp and setup. The HB sound is also great, actually having more soul than a 2000 335 I bought new and found so sterile I didn't like it.
I was spoiled on 60's 335's and on earlier 175's and 330's with singles and this guitar brings it all right back home.
You can sustain it with volume drive forever if you wish and control feedback all day long.
This beautiful lady can whisper or wail and every damn thing she does is magic. Gosh - hmmm. Sorry.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
Schecter actions and fits are in my opinion second to nobody. It is easily on par with my 05 Fender American Deluxe Strat and 05 Gibson Les Paul Studio. It has no shortcomings at all in any of these areas once adjusted to your own techniques.
The finish, mine black, is perfect. I tried to find a flaw and couldn't.

I have been playing since 1963 and have had so many guitars. If I had them all back I would be very well off now, but I guess we all get foolish trading every time a style changes.
If it was broken or stolen I would surely buy another just like it. Not a 335 because I could not afford one of the ones that would bring what this one does. The new 335's are sterile and this thing is absolutely either beauty in sound or a banshee that can throw a level of blues out that is magical.
This, my Les Paul, and my Am Deluxe Strat are my arsenal. I need no other.

I won't go into much unnecessary detail on this guitar as it has been covered thoroughly below. I will say that the features are oustanding for the price. The neck is absolutely perfect, and the tonal possibilities are vast with the push/pull splitters for the humbuckers. All humbuckers should come with splitters! I wouldnt change or add a thing (except strap locks).
Sound
:9
I play the typical classic rock (Zep, Floyd, Clapton) and jam band stuff (Dead, Phish). This guitar handles it all with ease, with the exception of the 'biting' Strat tone. The Duncan Designed HB-101 pickups sound great but I use an EQ to give it a little bit of a treble-boost just before the amp, and an Aural Exciter to give it a little more oomph on bass and treble before effects.
You can get some nice twang by splitting the pickups with the push/pulls. One problem I've had is that there is an annoying drop off in volume when you split a pickup. Also, there is some buzzing but it is not constant, which leads me to believe it may be the electrical in my house, or some interference from my PC which is close to my amp. I've had the guitar two days, so I havent had it out of the house yet to see if it buzzes elsewhere. If it does, I'm sure it can be remedied with Schecter.
In terms of tone, this guitar is absolutely stunning. The hollow body adds a layer of 'roundness' that is not overewhelming. I own an Ibanez AS73 as well. The AS73 has a tone which is too round, and it does not really 'sing' well with distortion. This guitar sings. I still havent really mastered all of the tone options on this baby, but I have been very impressed so far. The sustain and smooth playability of this guitar surpass anything I have owned or still own. This is my new #1.
My setup is:

SignalFlex A/B Switch>
Aphex 1402 Guitar Exciter>
Furman SPB-8 Conditioned Pedal Board (guitar in)>
Cry Baby Wah>
Boss Dynamic Filter FT2(envelope)>

This is a professional quality instrument, no doubt about it.
I do have some minor gripes. It was not set up very well from the factory. Mine came right out of the box. There was a thin coating of dust or factory grime covering the guitar which had to be wiped off. I replaced the weak factory strings with Ernie Ball Hybrids before plugging it in at home. Pickups were set well, though I raised the neck 'bucker a hair.
The top is not bookmatched at all, but it is very attractive nonetheless. The finish is just a bonus in my opinion...TONE and FEEL are what its all about. I'd play a Sears special if it sounded and felt right.
There were several flaws on this guitar(I don't consider these major flaws, but I'm surprised some of them passed QC):
1. Between the neck and the neck pickup cassing there are some paint bubbles or drips.
2. There are paint drips inside the F-holes, along with some thinly painted wood inside the F-holes.
3. There are several paint oversprays, where the paint bleeds through to the binding.
4. Binding itself has a few flaws and visible join points.
You would not see any of these flaws unless you scrutinize the guitar very thoroughly.
There were no scratches or paint bubbles on the body itself (just as noted above)
Aside from the above, all the hardware, knobs, tuners, push/pulls etc. is absolutely flawless.
Frets are perfect, neck join is amazingly smooth. The three way switch does pop a bit, but it's almost imperceptable.
As much as I love this guitar for its sound and feel, I have to say my Ibanez AS73 has far fewer paint and binding issues and is absolutely flawless, and about $300 less. (I don't sell Ibanez guitars..just making the comparison with what I know)
I would buy this guitar again in a heartbeat, even with the above issues. It feels like a natural extension of my body.
Reliability/Durability

No guitar slinging antics are advised with this guitar. I'm sure it could take a little rough-housing, but I'm not going to test that theory. It does not feel fragile, but the fact that it is semi-hollow gives you the sense that it is not to be thrown around.
The hardward seems rock solid.
The finish may wear down after a while with heavy use, but I'll most likely use this guitar in a home studio environement.
Strap buttons are solid, but I am adding some strap locks ASAP.
Any guitarist would be foolish to use one guitar without a backup at a gig...I'm surprised Harmony Central even includes that little blurb.
Overall, this is a PLAYER'S guitar, not a showboat guitar(though it is very attractive). If you want to run around the stage and throw it around, buy something else. If you want to actually play the guitar, this one is perfect.

I've been playing for 16 years. I tired of playing small gigs and dealing with clashing personalities in bands, so I am currently doing home recording with a friend. PC technology has come a long way and made it so easy to record.
My current gear:
Schecter CSH1, Ibanez AS73 Semi-Hollow, SignalFlex A/B Switch, Aphex 1402 Guitar Exciter, Furman SPB-8 Conditioned Pedal Board, Cry Baby Wah, Boss Dynamic Filter FT2(envelope), ProCo Turbo Rat, Boss DS-1,
Ibanez PT-9 Phaser, Ernie Ball Volume, Digitech RPX400, MXR 6 band EQ, Peavey Renown 400, Korg AX1G, Adamas Graphite picks, Dell 9300 laptop for recording (with Pro Tracks 2.2 and Guitar Tracks Pro 3)
I spent about 2 hours in Guitar Center playing Les Pauls, PRS, Strats etc etc. I played a C1-Classic and loved the feel, but I was not happy with the tone for my needs (I'm not a metal guy). I saw a 12 string version fo the CSH1 and asked if they had a six string, and the salesman found one in the back of the store, still in the box. I played it for 5 minutes and bought it. I have no regrets or second thoughts about buying this guitar. It is exactly what I was looking for.

This Guitar is what ALL HUMBUCKER guitars should be built like in 2005. Two Tone [push/pull-pots, for coil split] Two Volume. A Three way switch for neck, middle[both pick-ups] or bridge Humbucker. Has a Flame Maple Top w/Matching headstock in beautifull Candy Apple Red. The Flame Maple cap is real, it is not veneer! The cap is Carved with two F-holes to fit on top of a solid-mahogany hollowed back for the guitar. The maple cap is very thick and if you look at the f-holes you could see that the flame runs through the cap, which means its a solid piece of Flamed Maple-Very Pretty. Has a set neck with a outstanding job done on the heal, access to the highest register is a breeze. Neck reminds me of a PRS Fat neck. Its chunky by the body and thins out just right by the nut. Really a nice width. Rosewood board with split-crown inlays. Which I see no filler around the inlays, they are fit very well. The body, neck and headstock is sigle bound in off-white and was done very nicely. Guitar has string through body-design [think-Telecaster] with a Pro-Tones bridge, I added a white bone nut [Original was OK but Black] to match the binding and for better tone. And the string path has Grover Tuning Machines. I believe the ratio is now 18-1 They work very well and with such ease. They are made better than they use to be! All Golg hardware which surprizingly is HOLDING-UP! 251/2 scale [Fender scale} which in my opinion makes Humbuckers in the neck sound awesome w/22frets. Again I much prefer 22-frets over Schecter's 24-fret guitar's and I've owned a few 24's Schecter and PRS. The 24 just doesnt do it TONE WISE! 22 is MUCH MUCH better sounding. Add a 251/2 scale and you have a great base for Humbuckers!

I CHANGED the HUMBUCKERS to a ZEBRA 4-Conductor 59 in the neck, and a double-black 4-conductor JB in the bridge, both Seymour Duncan. Though the Duncan Design's are good the real Seymour Duncans are the bomb. The JB splits to single-coil and sounds SUPER in the bridge. The 59 makes a good sinle-coil neck pup only not high-output. The JB split is JUST AS LOUD as the 59humbucker in the neck. When I switch from neck to bridge-single-coil, there is no volume drop-off. This guitar is a Hollowbody, not a semi-hollow. It has a great tone UNPLUGGED and is perfect for playing around with unplugged. I use it NOW to write music with. Matter of fact I wrote a song with it this-morning! The action on the guitar is as low as any guitar I've seen. And I've seen just about all of them. No fret buzz w/super low action! You only have fret the notes ever so lightly cause of the low action. Nice woody complex clean tones. And amplified with the SD pups is all anyone could ask for. Someone mentioned about feedback, the guitar feedsback when they want it to? I cannot GET this guitar to feedback? No feedback at all! I actually like feedback for lead guitar, but this one isn't feeding back? Guitar is VERY quite even on single-coil mode its not a noisey guitar. I play through Blackface Fender amps a Crate Power Block and a Behringer LX-112 for amp modeling with headphones. For effects I use 3pedals. A 535Dunlop crybaby, A DOD Juicebox for Over-drive, And a EH-Reverb for the Crate [no-reverb]. The Schecter interacts well with ALL this equipment. Its just a fantastic guitar and SO WELL PRICED!

It could not be better REALLY, Look at my other reviews. If a guiytar is crap I'll tell you, without a blink of an eye. Non of these manufacturers pay me so I tell it like it is. And this Schecter C/SH-1 is the best bang for the buck guitar I've came across. And when you come across a few extra bucks its a PREFECT guitar to upgrade. ONLY upgrades needed are pick-ups, bone-nut, and I added a Switchcraft 3-way switch [tough to install!] But I see no flaws on the guitar, it is built great, sounds great, and a real value. This guitar is easily worth 3X its retail price easily!

Well this is a tough question! Were talking about a Hollowbody guitar with a tilt-back headstock, Gold-Hardware and Flame Maple Top and Headstock! You have to take care of this guitar. You won't be able to go onstage and do a JIMI or STEVIE with it. Its not a Strat. But its not gonna fall apart CAUSE OF THE WAY ITS MADE! It is made very very well. YOU have to take care of it! And Schecter is cool. they get back to me immediatly whenever I contact them. And I hear they are terrible? Not so far! I also hear the truss-rods are terrible on Schecters? But I can't see that!

I play mostly through Fender Blackface Amps, although I just picked up a 150-watt Crate Power Block, what a great sounding solid-state amp! Bought it to use as a back-up and to practice with. Also use a Behringer Vampire LX-112, [great modeling amp] Nice volume with headphones and I like it better than ALL the other modeling amps! Especially for the price. If I lost this Schecter, I would find another one without a doubt. A Strat shaped Hollowbody with dualtone-volume controls with coil-splits! Makes for a VAST number of tonal possibilities! I love the guitar. I use it ALL the TIME. I write with it! ONLY thing I would change, is the input jack. I would position it like a T-62 Hamer, on the bottom just below the strap button at a downward angle. So when I sit down to play and write I don't have to be so carefull about the plug-in jack! Besides that, the guitar is the bomb. And with the UPGRADES? To me its a must have.

05 Korean made Diamond Series C/SH-1 Flame Trans. RED. I didn't care for thew finish or sound of a Classic and a Plus I had owned prior to this. But man does this have a nice finish and wood selection. 22fret also is a plus 24 fret guitar lack tone in the neck position. Split Crown inlays done flawless. Mahogony neck body back, Maple 1/8 inch solid Flame top. Binding on neck, body and headstock. Gold hardware[Ya I know it wears terrible] looks good with Candy Apple Red Flame. Duncan Design Humbuckers with coil tap, push-pull individual tone knobs. Also individual volume knobs. Matching Flame headstock with Grover tuners. Tone-Pros bridge T.O.M. style. Three way Gibson style switch. [doesn't appear to be blade style switch] I could be wrong. Nice Carved top, great balence and weight on this C/SH-1. This was a issue with the C-1 plus.[very neck heavy]

Very Versitile. I don't know much about the Duncan Design pups. But I'll tell you this. I play Hamers, Gibsons and Fenders. When this guitar is A/B'd next to guitar loaded with SD 59's. It sounds very similiar. Not as much output, but definatly in the house. Pups are clear, articulate, well balenced. Sound is consistent on both pups. I actually like the bridge pup better than my JB and 59 in the bridge position. Although I prefer my 57classic on my Gibson semi-hollows. Pups also split very well, guitar does not lack in single-coil tones. They are VERY convincing. I,m sold on these pups. I bought the guitar [actually part of a trade] with every intention of upgrading pups and nut. I replaced the nut immediatly with a Gibson Bone Nut. But the pups I have resevations about. I'm going to leave these in for now. I've been working out on the guitar a good week at 4-5 hours a day. I'm pretty sold on its tone. I really like humbuckers on a 22fret 251/2 scale guitar. Very bluesy! I play through old Blackface Fenders and a Crate Power Block and this guitar sounds great. I've been playing since the late 60's. I have a expensive extensive collection. Semi-Hollows incude a Gibson 335 and a 135LE, a Hamer Newport Pro. When I say this guitar lacks nothing compared to these, I seriously mean it. The finish on the Hamer Blows this away, but I'll tell you what, it is just as good if not better than Gibson USA production-line guitars. Listen take a Gibson USA and run your finger over the body binding. You can feel a hump? I know you could I own several Gibsons. The Schecter doesn't have this flaw, of course the Hamer's don't either. I don't blow smoke, I tell it like it is. The quality of this guitar is comparable to US production-line guitars withpout a doubt. Action is GREAT, As I mentioned I have owned a few Schecters C-1plus and a classic, the action on both of those was pretty good. But the action on this one is VERY VERY good. I have ONE guitar with better action and that guitar was built by John Dillion. [His guitars are a story in themselve] Excuse me my Gibson Flying V also has better action. None of my Semi-Hollows have better action. The neck size on the Schecter reminds me of a PRS. It is maybe about the same as my CE-22. Only thing that looks like it might be a problem is the 3-way switch? Just doesn't appear to be quality. And to make matters worse it is located on the top-horn. Making it a bitch to replace.

I see no problem here. I know the Gold hardware will fade. Every guitar in the world with Gold hardware will fade! But it sure looks good with the Candy Apple Red and white binding.

Unknown, I just don't know, I never had to call them or bring a Schecter guitar back for repairs! This is my third Schecter.

I'm impressed with this guitar. I contacted Schecter and am seriously thinking about having them build me a US Custom-Shop C/SH-1. Of course there a half dozen modifications I'd like to make. But not to this guitar. This one I'm gonna leave alone. I'm very blown away by the way it is now. Which is exactly why I'm leaving it alone
