Dual Tone, Dual Volume controls. Dual Tone pots are Push/Pull pots that engage the coil-splits for single coil tones. Pickups have a decent output that sound excellent in single-coil mode. [Lot of Humbuckers don't] Three way toggle switch for neck, dual, and bridge pick-up activation. 22 fret split-trapazoid, inlays. Mahogony neck, maple body [hollowed 1-piece] with a 1/8" Flame maple carved cap. Matching Flame headstock-cap. Single bound [white] body, neck, and headstock. Guitar is done in Gloss Transparent Red. Tone-Pros T.O.M. bridge, String-through body, Grover tuning-machines, Duncan-Designed pups. Done with Gold-Hardware. Plastic-Nut. Rosewood fingerboard. Quality of wood and workmanship are top-notch. [I also own 2Gibson and a Hamer USA Semi-Hollow. Workmanship is as good as the Gibson's not as good as the Hamers. Hardware that is not top-notch? Includes 3-way switch, pots, and nut. Pick-ups are very-nice voiced when compared to my Gibson and Seymour-Duncan pups. Not as much output, but well balenced. Nice highs for inexpensive pups. Frets are medium-Jumbo. All-in All very well thought-out and put-together guitar.

Neck is medium to Fat. I'm not sure if the neck thickness varies, but this one is nice and chunky. Guitar is well balenced with low action and superb playability. Strings are well centered, fret job is excellent. Not a buzz on the fretboard anywhere. Workmanship on this guitar is flawless. I've owned a couple other Diamond-Series guitars in the past. A C-1 and a C-1 Classic. The C-1 I found to be neck-heavey with a so-so fret job. The Classic didn't have the quality flame cap as this guitar does and I didn't care for the tone of the guitar with the 24 fret neck. Seymour Duncan 59-JB combo didn't sound great with the 24fret neck. This C/SH-1 is dead right. I highly recommend this guitar over the other two.

I would say the 3-way switch is with-out a doubt going to be a problem. Besides that I can't forsee any issues arising with this axe. Gold hardware will also do its thing over time. But thats not a reflection on THIS guitar. All Gold hardware fades.

I've been playing since 67. Own many other US semi-hollow's and US Fender Vintage Amps. This guitar is on par with anything being production-line built in the States! Its like finding a Diamond in the grass when you can purchase a guitar of this quality and with this tone and payability. FOR THIS PRICE? Hard to Believe! The guitar is a KEEPER.

Best guitar in my arsenal! Standing side by side to my 86' 3-tone SnBst American Strat, And my Classic Quilt top Epiphone Les Paul W/Zakk Wylde pickups. I haven't been able to put it down yet! I never thought another guitar would make me neglect my Strat. Good job at Schecter!!!

Schecter's C/SH-1 feedsback when I tell it to! This model is great for jazz, and blues all the way to ska, punk, and metal. It collaborates beautifully with my Boss GT-6. The amount of various tone this axe offers is Trumped by the double coil-tapping knobs!

What can I say I'm a sucker for Flame Maple. When I bought it I had it set up before I even played it... it didn't take long either, the Luthier had it for 3 mins. The grovers never let me down. This is the best guitar over seas has to offer! And if you have one I think you'll agree!

The sound is out of this world. I have played guitars for 15 years and this is the sound I have been looking for. I have owned 2 PRS Mcarty Archtop IIs, and the whole range of Les Pauls and SGs. I'll tell you this little $499 monster eat them up.
Sustain like I have never heard before.
I am currently running into 2 blackface deluxes.
This guitar will play anything you ask it too.

I have been playing guitar for about 30 years. Mostly blues, gospel. Some flamenco & classical with a bit of rock.
Semi-hollow is just perfect for that more acoustic sound and is fairly audible without an amp.
Excellent brightness and attack - I chose this guitar over some much more expensive ones for the sound alone. Push/pull tone controls gives a bit more control. I have an in/out of phase control on my Peavey which this one is missing so I give it a 9 for that lack of variety but for pure sound it's an 11!

No problems with the set-up at all - I just picked it up and it played beautifully.
Finish was perfect with a couple of tiny flaws: some of the red had gone over very slightly onto the white in places and there was one half-millimetre gap in the red round the lower F-hole. That's it!
This is a seriously gorgeous looking guitar.

I haven't had any problems but their web site is excellent and even gives a schematic of the wiring.
The Guitar Center on 14th Street, NY, where I bought it was fantastic - recommend to anyone (ask for Tim!)

Playing about 30 years, own a Peavey P-60 electric, Yamaha acoustic, Fender 12-string acoustic and a Casio MIDI guitar. I use a Peavey amp.
I'd definitely buy it again - it's a lovely sounding, lovely looking guitar at a crazy low price. I looked at other hollow-bodied electrics up to $2000 (not that I could afford it!) but this was the best sound for me.
If I had to change anything I think I'd have a front facing jack (instead of down facing) for ease of sitting to play but it wouldn't look as good.

Excellent guitar for jazz and fusion which are my main genre's of music. Playing it through my Mesa Boogie DC-10 is awsome. This guitar sounds and plays as well as the Paul Reed Smith Archtop II that I paid $4000 for! I'm blown away by the tone and craftsmanship

This is the brand new semi - hollow body electric with two Duncan humbuckers. Best feature in the electronics is the dual push-pull tone pots that change each pickup from parallel/series. This gives the guitar a gorgeous rhythm tone, bright and airy, just right for funk and blues.
Something about a red finish does it for me - this has a very red color and has gold trim, slightly off white binding and a deep finish. The neck has great curves at the body for access to the upper frets.
This is one flash guitar - yet not over the top. Surprisingly fine finish work and attention to detail. Frets are all polished - ready to break in nicely

Just what you'd want from a semi hollow body. Not too boxy a sound, long sustain, great chunk and thunk. Open chords are ringing, appegios articulate and runs clear and distinct.
I play many styles, right now in a British rock/blues band so I needed a guitar that could go from classic blues rhythm to snarling bulldog with one flip on the switch. This guitar delivers that.
Actually, the pickups are not over driven, and thus give the amp room to breath. I use a blues driver for added kick, this lets me run the amps not quite full tilt, for broad ranges of rhythm work, but can punch out when needed.
Absolutely, the parallel/series switch makes this guitar happen.

Guitar came from the factory well set up. Intonation dead on. I like higher action so made the adjustment. Bridge has locking (allen screws) adjustments for raising and lowering the bridge. Nice feature. Through the body strings give great tonality. Can really feel the vibration in the body. I suppose that this design negates the need for a massive center stockpiece to place deep set posts for the bridge assembly - this helps opens up the sound and provides more tonal range with a shimmer quality.

This guitar will be a gigging workhorse. Looks, feels and sounds built to last. I've been playing for over 30 years so I know how my guitars have responded to age, playing, and general use. This is one solid guitar.

Given that I have been shopping for a semi hollow axe for the past few months and have seriously considered a PRS McCarty, Gibson 336, and 335, it was almost ludicrous to think that I could pick up an axe like this one, at this low price point, and have such a good reaction to the playability and sound.
This is one of those guitar purchases that makes you think you just scored a great deal - like maybe they left an extra digit off the price. Not too many moments like that out there.
