Hi, mines a late 2004 model in amber with just the 1x vol and 1x tone controls plus 5-way switch. The electronics work very well with no scratchiness whatsoever which is nice to see for once!
The maple top is good, but obviously for this money its not going to be PRS quality lol, it looks like it could be a 3mm veneer over a plain maple cap but the effect is still wonderful and ive had nothing but praise from everyone whos seen and heard it!
Sound
:10
I love the pickups on this model, the JB was strange at first because it is so responsive, it picks up every little harmonic that would normally get lost on standard pickups, could be frustating if youre a messy player though lol. the neck '59 is my favourite, its a very versatile pickup, although i use it mainly with light overdrive, it handles metal distortion and cleans perfectly. must say im also quite impressed with the split coil options, theyre a lot better than most ive tried out but, understandably, there is a volume drop off on them. not really much you can do about that though!
All in all, this is an amzing sounding (and plying) guitar, the sustain really has to be heard to be believed and the versatility has now made my fender strat and my flying vee (epiphone with swineshead p/ups fitted) pretty much redundant!
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
When i got the guitar i changed the strings over straight away but the action was good, 2mm on treble side at the 12th and 2.5mm on the bass side. after fitting some EB's i lowered the action slightly to 1.7mm and 2.0mm respectively, this is just a personal preference though, the factory setup was easily playable. All the hardware was installed well and the bride had been set up well enough so that only a very minor adjustment was made to give better intonation
Reliability/Durability

hmm, well im scared to take it to a gig, or even outside of my house, its too beautiful lol! the finish looks pretty durable though and its definately well made with no problems yet (lol, after the entire 4 days ive owned it!) but it will end up being gigged soon so ill let you know... 10 for now though!

They have all been discussed. Suffice to say it is a full featured instrument.
-I play Rock and Blues and I am starting to get into Jazz.
-Been Playing for 20 years
-Play atively in a Rock Band about once a month.
-I also play at church
-So........ I use and beat up my guitars quite heavily
The sound of this guitar is brighter than my PRS Santana SE
Darker than my 1968 reissue Fender Stratocaster
HOTTER than both.
The Seymour Duncan Jazz and JB are a perfect combination.
-Position 1 (Full Bridge) is my favorite and most widely used
-Position 2 has a Statish quality ecen though not quite a strat of course. Actually I play through a Line 6 Flextone 3(which I love) and I have created certain patches to work exclusively with position 2 on the guitar and I can really fool people into thinking I am playing a Strat.
-I haven't found use for positions 3 and 4 yet.
-Position 5 (Full Neck) is REALLY Nice for funking out, or for cleans runs. Very Mellow but yet bright and articulate.

The guitar shipped to me from AMS in New Jersey. The guitar was adequately setup but I had my local luthier set it up for me. I am a little picky on how I want my guitar to feel and honestly I think every giutar should be professsionally setup to the individual players taste and style.
I have the Amber colored one. The guitar's finish and quality are flawless. The quiliting is beautiful and the neck plays really nice.
I really can't say enough about this guitar's beauty.
For the price YOU WILL NOT FIND A NICER LOOKING GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had a little problem witht he 3rd striung going out of tune but I think it is the nut and I have just been to lazy to take it to the luthier. This is not a big deal though.

I have had this guitar for about 1 1/2 years now and I play it alot. It is my main guitar and in gets played EVERY DAY. So far I it doesn't even have the slightest fret wear. I have giged with it at least 50 times in the last year and have never had to pick up my backup guitar NOT ONCE!
It is easy on strings and not to heavy.
I have not experienced the porblem some people have with the pots or the switch.

If you're looking at one of these you know the features. Sticker price was $700.
* Non locking Grover tuners
* a 5 piece neck
* neck thru construction
* string thru neck
* tonespro bridge
* grover tuners
* Duncans (JB and Jazz)
* nicely matched quilted maple top
* unreal inlays in the neck
* a Schaler (sp?) 5 position switch with a nicely simulated coil tap sound without buzz...
The controls are Master Volume, Master Tone, HH pickup config. I bought the Amber finish with the satin and reflective Gold hardware (more on this later) only because the Trans Blue in Guitar Center was Teal and not Blue at all. (more about this in Fit and Finish)
Sound
:9
I play mostly for my own enjoyment and with friends in a weekly jam session. We play a bit of everyting and this guitar is well suited for a wide variety of styles. I play thru a Fender Princeton Chorus currently but am looking at a Marshall JVT100 which I played thru in Guitar Center. This plays seamlessly thru either amp. The clean sounds are round and fairly well balanced (maybe leaning a bit toward the bright side). If I had to compare it to anything else out on the market, sound wise, I say it is very close to a PRS in the Humbucking modes and does a reasonable job in the "coil tap" mode of getting a fender sound. After having said that, I use those Manufacturers only as references since most know these sounds. The "tapped" sounds on this guitar in my opinion is gorgeous. It allows for very rythmic playing while maintaining definition, but by no means sounds thin. Each of the 5 positions has a very distinct sound .
The Distorted sounds coming from the JB and Jazz pups were startling. After the clarity I experienced in the clean sounds I was not prepared for the growl that these pups are capable of. I was looking at a Parker as well because of the flexibility in sound but this does a nice job in that department. I will confess to having a bit of a Les Paul fetish. While this is not as fat a sound as an LP it certainly holds it's own and if the tone knob is dropped down it gets plenty warm. One area that I think it may have improved on a Les Paul in is the sustain. The 5 piece Neck thru, string thru construction, along with the TonePros bridge makes this puppy ring for days. I have no gripes at all with the sound of this guitar
Action, Fit, & Finish
:8
Schecter has put together an unbelievably high quality product for the price...heck , for any price. The Set up is acceptable right out of the box. Believe it or not it was in tune right out of the box. The action was a little low which caused a little buzzing...nothing a true setup wouldn't take care of. I found the pick up height to be fine...I could see how some might like to lower the trebble side of the pups but I didn't find it necessary. I was suspect of the pots and to my surprise they are excellent.
Here is where I have an issue. I ordered a Trans Blue version from Guitar Center because I preferred the chrome hardware and that was the only color that had it. When it arrived it was teal...not blue. I was really disappointed and ended up settling for the Amber version. After a couple of days I decided that the gold hardware was going to drive me nuts. The Amber guitars come with 2 differently finished types of gold hardware. The tuners, knobs and the bridge are in an adonized gold (satin finish) and the pup covers are a reflective gold. I could live with the reflective gold finish but the adonized finished stuff looks like plastic and I just don't trust it's ability to resist wear. The blue ones have Chrome hardware.
The top on the blue one they originally ordered for me was poorly matched and not highly quilted (as opposed to the Amber one which was as nice a quilt top as I've ever seen). Between the two different gold finishes, the vine of life inlays (which are beautifully executed)and the rich Amer quilt top there was just too much going on... a bit glitzy and distractingmaybe a tiny bit hodge podged. I've since asked GC to order another Blue one and I'm hoping the top is more like the Amber.
In a well executed version of the guitar it was perfect. In a less than perfect version, it was still a well put together guitar. but somewhat lacking in the asthetic dept. I , unfortunately put a disproportionate emphasis on the asthetics of a guitar, but I'm looking for the whole shooting match in a guitar.
If I hadn't seen the Trans Blue one, I'd give this at least a 9...maybe even a 10. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that a stinker snuck through. The high quality construction is picking up the slack for the inconsistent color and poor quilt top on the blue.
Reliability/Durability
:9
I think in terms of reliability and durability this is a rock solid, dependable guitar,from the construction right down to the electronics. I'm suspect of the gold finish but it all comes from reputable manufacturers so I would imagine it will last. My gripe was just a mater of personal taste. The finish seems like a well applied and durable poly finish. If I remember to ever up date this it might earn a 10 after it's been put thru the paces.
No one should ever gig without a back up...get rid of that question!
Customer Support
:7
My customer service experience was mixed. I emailed them about assisting GC with another Blue guitar because I didn't think the one they sent was what the trans blue was supposed to look like (some research showed me that the blue was inconsistent). A rep emailed me back but never answered my question. I rephrased it in another email and he responded again but still did not answer the question. I finally got him to send me a catalog which he said was an accurate depiction of what the blue finish should look like. (which is beautiful in the picture). I went back to GC and they're ordering me another. So Customer Service was responsive and helpfull, just not helpful in the way I'd anticipated.
By the way the catalog is stunning and it looks like Schecter is taking a shot at the big boys.

I definitely LOVE this guitar (or I will if the Blue one is like the Amber one. I've been playing for 10+ years. I did an unreal ammount of research on Schecter, the guitars and the components before I even played one. I knew easily as much as the GC sales guy , who was great. I really appreciate the fact that Schecter put all top notch components on this guitar. I love the neck, both the feel of it in my hand (very fast...low action) and the 5 piece - neck thru construction. If I haven't said enough about the sound...It's Awesome!!! The features of this guitar come both from construction and components. Very well thought out. I would not hesitate to buy another one..in fact I'm thinking about the acoustic/electric model they have out as well, and the hollow body in the catalog is impressive looking (won't know till I play one).
I was initially concerned about Schecter being a relatively unknown name, but this rig has erased that concern. Now I feel like I got in on the ground level of what is going to be a heavily sought after guitar. This was (and is) a highly respected custom shop before going mass market. Eddie bought many Schecter components when he was constructing Frankenstein. Prince's funky shaped guitars...Schecters. Many of Pete Townshends Tele shaped guitars...Schecters. That's pretty good company in my book.

You've read all this before. I think it has everything I want in a guitar EXCEPT those handy locking string things at the far and of the neck. but I've only seen those on Ibanez guitars a Floyd Rose, which is definitely not this guitar. No whammy bar setup here, but you get better tone and sustain that way. Nothing missing.
Sound
:10
I love the sound. The neck pickup (Jazz) has VERY pronounced highs, and it sounds great. To me, the neck pickup sounds like a Tele only better. Great sustain, I have no complaints about the wiring or the pickup selector switch. The pots are completely noiseless on mine, I never use the coil tapping option though. I found the bridge pickup to be a little low-output for my tastes, but I'm used to an EMG81 in my other guitar. Still, sounds very, very good. I actually compared this side-by-side to a Gibson Les Paul Custom with a 60s neck and this guitar played and sounded MUCH better. The only complaint I might have about the sound is that I had to adjust the neck pickup so that the highs weren't so pronounced and to bring up the low end a bit.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
The guitar was set up perfectly, no buzzing, clear notes all the way up the neck, fast action. Pickups weren't in the exact right position, but who cares, it's personal taste and I fixed it with a screwdriver in about 30 seconds. The finish isn't my favorite, it isn't anywhere near as pretty as a Gibson Les Paul heritage cherry sunburst, but it's not ugly or anything. I know I'm going to fuck the back up with my belt buckle and probably rip out the strap peg at least once and ding up the edges in under a year anyway. So fuck it, the finish is perfect. It couldn't possibly play or sound better, all the hardware is premium, the wood is high quality, the tuning pegs are tight and a reasonable ratio, the pots are quiet, as is the selector switch, the frets are smooth. I don't particularly care for the finish options, that's all.
Reliability/Durability
:9
It's pretty simple, so I'm not worried about it breaking to the point of being unplayable like I am with my Floyd Rose equipped guitar. You could most likely drop it on concrete three or four times without severe damage. The strap buttons are solid as far as I can tell. The hardware is very good. The finish is as good as any, I'll probably have it all scratched up and greasy in a month though. I can definitely depend on it, but I wouldn't gig it without a backup, because there's never a good enough reason not to bring a backup. I'd bring a backup just so I wouldn't have to change a broken string in between songs. Maybe it's just in my head, but it's not quite as solid as a Gibson Les Paul or a really heavy Fender Telecaster.

No idea. They'd probably be Korean and useless. I don't expect I'll ever deal with Schecter customer support.

I've been playing for about six years now. I own an Ibanez RG guitar that I've beaten the shit out of. I replaced the pickups and electrics in the Ibanez with EMG active stuff. Needless to say, the Schecter is a different sound, and I now only use the Ibanez for metal stuff with the tuning dropped. If it were stolen I would cry, I couldn't afford to buy another one. Better plays better than a Les Paul, better tone than a Fender and vice versa. I wish it had a good hertitage cherry sunburst finish, but it's not that important. Awesome guitar, buy it and love it.

Guess it was made early 2000's, apparently built in Korea and then finished off in the States (what degree of work is unsure!)
You know the spec by now and mine is standard, other than its supposed to be the vintage 3-tone sunburst finish, but is closer to the antique amber.....perfect ;-)
Basically this is a top spec guitar thats just built mostly in Korea rather that Japan or Europe
I have bought and sold 12 guitars in the last 4 years and this is the first one to satisfy me in the 3 main areas, sound, style and feel.

The best I have ever owned bar none (13 guitars in the last 4 years).

# What amps and effects are you using it with? - Laney valve amp and pod xt
# Is it noisy? On what settings? - only when I pluck a string ;-}
# Rich/Full sound? Bright sound? - yes

# How well was the guitar set-up at the factory? (How was the action?) - cant comment -Second hand
# How well were the pickups adjusted? -excellent when I got them
# Properly bookmatched top? Properly routed bridge? yes and yes
# Did the guitar contain any flaws? (misaligned bracing, poorly filed fretwire, only flaw was a nasty chip :-(
finish flaws, poor quality wood, rusted or oxidized hardware, loose tuning pegs,
poorly cut nut, poorly fit saddle, noisy pickup selector, loose controls, etc...) - As good as finish as the RG3120, in other words perfect, really totally perfect and I am hard to please.

# If it were stolen or lost, would you buy it again or get something else? I would buy again in a flash
# What do you love about it? - Everything, finally found the guitar of my dreams, really is that good and I have been looking very very hard for it....... owned 13 of them in the last 4 years What do you hate? - the chip on the finish, but will fix that in time. What is your favorite feature? - looks, then sound then playability
# Did you compare it to other guitars? Which ones? Why did you choose this one? - Only mentioning higher spec guitars Ive owned - Pacifica 812, Ibanez S1540, RG3120, EDR475, Artist. Dean Evo Premium etc etc
# Anything you wish it had? A hard case to put it in

Buy one, the guy I bought it from built guitars and had played for ever, and stated that it sounded better than a Gibson Les Paul, I have now compared that for myself and totally agree.

I walked by this guitar several times on several visits to my local guitar store. I couldnt get over the neck inlays (not a big fan). One day i asked the clerk about the instrument and he suggested that i try it. HOLY CRAP!!!!! this guitar sounds, plays and feels better than any overpriced PRS or Les Paul I've ever owned. The overall tone of this guitar is something special. I play all styles and this thing does them all.

Been playing for ever.
If stolen or lost I would buy another immediately. Then hunt down and kill all responsible for my tradgic loss.
The neck inlays need to go or at least have an option to delete them.
After looking at hundreds of guitars, I can't believe i am raving about a $700.00 guitar. I guess the cork sniffers at the boutique guitar stores are gonna dis-own me. This guitar holds its own against the big boys and is superior in many ways, and you cant go wrong for the price.

I would guess the model year of my C-1 Classic guitar is around 2002 because the "vintage natural gloss" finish was discontinued come the 2003 model year lineup. Designed and setup in the USA, this C-1 Classic guitar was built in Korea as with all Schecter guitars of their "Diamond Series". It features a carved Stratocastor-style body of solid mahogany with a genuine figured maple veneer top. The neck-thru alternating laminated maple and mahogany neck features a pearlesque "vine-of-life" inlay meandering down the entire length of the 25 1/2" scale, twenty-four jumbo fret, rosewood fingerboard. For my own personal preference I replaced the stock Grover Rot-o-matic machine heads on this guitar with Sperzel locking tuners. These are three on each side of the reclining headstock. The strings pass through the body at a sufficient angle over the locking Tune-o-matic bridge, and over the graphite nut. The pickups are American Seymour Duncan "JB"(Jeff Beck)in the bridge position, and "Jazz" in the neck position. Contrary to early product literature specifications and many current website descriptions the C-1 Classic guitar does not and never has been produced with a '59 model pickup. I questioned the president of Schecter guitars, Michael Ciravolo, about this and that is what he told me. As for the controls my C-1 Classic is manufactured with a tone control, two volume controls, and a Schaller five-way switch. Positions one, three, and five of the switch were originally wired in series to provide that thick sound of the humbucker pickups, while positions two and four were wired in parallel to offer a thin single-coil sound alternative. Strangely, the wiring of the volume controls with respect to the position of the five-way switch was rather confusing, and I found that annoying. The fore volume control knob, for instance, does not effect the two forward switch positions, as you might expect, nor does the aft volume control knob effect the two aft switch positions of the five-way switch. Furthermore, as at least one other reviewer has noted on this website, the middle switch position does not provide the sound of both, full, on, pickups. I, too, chose to remedy this rather unintuitive volume and switch configuration to improve my C-1 Classic guitar, and to gain greater satisfaction and pleasure playing it. My luthier suggested that we replace the tone control with a master volume control, put American push-pull and independent volume control pots in the other two locations, and replace the five-way switch with an American three-way switch. I now have an even more inspiring guitar with greater tonal quality and flexibility than the original. The volume controls are now consistant with the position of the switch, and by making the volume controls "independent" I can bring in more or less sound of either pickup when the switch is in the middle position. Furthermore, I can now mix or match series and parallel sound combinations with a push or pull of either pickup's volume control knob. This series-parallel wiring also has the advantage of retaining the hum canceling property of the four-wire humbucker pickups in all positions. My rating of the C-1 Classic guitar in this category reflects my opinion of the unaltered stock guitar as configured by the manufacturer. To be clear I give it a 10 in this catagory with the changes I describe.
Sound
:5
My C-1 Classic now produces a full, rich, bright, snappy sound with bass tones that are crisp and clear. I am now extremely delighted with it! Originally, however, I was not. The stock guitar was disappointingly dark and muddy sounding to my ear. I attribute this to the stock Korean pots, which I professionally replaced with American 500k pots. The original Korean pots often emitted a scratchy static sound when rotated, and the dropoff (which many reviewers on this site have also noted) was much too steep for practical purposes. Replace the Korean pots, as I did. Then you can expect to be fully impressed.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
This guitar, overall, is superb and the weight is beautifully balanced. My Luthier, David Rusan, (commonly known for Prince's famed "Cloud Guitar") informed me, "The fretwork on this guitar is flawless." Indeed, my C-1 Classic intonates perfect as can be on all strings open, at the twelfth fret, and at the twenty-fourth fret as well! The figured maple top is nicely bookmatched. The veneer is thin and transluscent, and as a result allows the neck laminations to come through visibly in these guitars with the "vintage natural gloss" color. This, as some C-1 Classic reviewers have been incorrectly lead to believe, is not an indication of a factory second. A C-1 Classic that the manufacture has deemed a "factory second" will have a numeral '2' stamped in the fingerboard behind the twenty-fourth fret. This, according to president of Schecter Guitars, Michael Ciravolo, whom I asked the question directly. As for the quality of hardware, all top notch! Aesthetically, however, I do think the matt finish gold does not wear well and detracts from the overall appearance of the guitar. For this reason, alone, I chose to replace all the matt hardware on my guitar with gold plated because I think it looks better. The only items I replaced differently were the Grover tuners because I preferred Sperzel locking types. Personal preference aside, the action, fit, and finish is fabulous!
Reliability/Durability
:10
This guitar, overall, is superb and beautifully balanced. The laminated neck through the body insures that it will not likely ever change or shift laterally as bolt-on neck guitars are subject to do, nor will it ever bind where neck meets body as set necks are subject to do. This integrated neck, on which the pickups are mounted directly and the strings come through, produces a guitar with killer sound and sustain capability, as well as durability that I suspect would frustrate such abuse from the likes of Pete Townshend! This guitar is a rock solid! You can depend on it without a doubt.

My guitar was pre-owned when I bought it a year ago and I received no literature from that owner about the specific warranty coverage. Nevertheless, I have submitted numerous questions about my guitar to Schecter by way of Email, and I have always received incredibly kind and helpful responses from confident well informed people. Even the changes that I made to the electronics, a representative there informed me, Schecter would stand behind because these changes were done by a certified professional technician.

I have been playing guitar for my own pleasure (certainly no one else's!) for twenty-five years. I was captivated by the C-1 Classic when I came upon it in a guitar superstore. I have an eye for value and this was clearly an instrument worthy of my consideration, nevermind that it is made in Korea. I was impressed with most everything about it, and what I was not impressed about I knew I could pay to change and still have a more outstanding guitar than any other I am aware of for the same amount of money. I read all of the reviews on this site and others pertaining to the C-1 Classic before I bought mine. What I love most about this guitar is the quality, construction, weight and balance. What I liked least was the sound relating to the electronic components and stock configuration. That, I new I could easily change and I did. Now I love the sound and playability of my C-1 Classic even more, as well!

by now you should all know the statistics. mine was red with gold hardware, neckthrue, quilted maple over mahogany, seymour duncan pickups string thru etc.
Sound
:8
let me begin this by saying that this is a very nice guitar at an astounding value. it sounds better than some of the les paul standards i've played. i bought this guitar mostly for hardcore and metalcore styles. it sounds great; very versatile, with the two different duncans. the woods sound incredible. unplugged you can definetely hear the quality. the electronics though are not that great. good pickups, but the switching and pots are garbage, and there are pickups that could match the sound of this guitar better than the stock ones. but for 700 new, you could replace the pickups with sg or les paul pickups, and still pay 100-1000 dollars less on a guitar that sounds the same. it would get a higher score if it wasn't for the pickups. as for the brightness that everyone is talking about, on my marshall avt i had no problem, but it did show up on my fender deville, but if you roll around the tone knob you can fix it pretty well.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:8
the guitar was set up moderately well, you could tell that they cut some corners here and there, but still a great value. action stock is a little high but i am going to get it looked at. woods and how they were put together are top notch A+++ but as i said before the stock switch and pickups aren't exactly perfectly paired to this guitar, this is just my opinion, but even so, after putting in top of the line pickups i'm still paying 1000 less than a les paul. also the frets seemed a little high as in they stick out farther than i'm used to. and on my bridge pickup sometimes i get no signal or half a signal, but its not that big of a problem and i'm thinking about switching electronic anyway.

i would give this guitar a 9 just for the value. it really is incredible that they can fit such nice woods into a 700 dollar guitar. there are some things that might need work, but even after buying new pickups, getting it professionally refretted, getting new electronics and buying a hardshell case you still only pay 1300-1500, which is 700-500 less than a guitar that sounds just as good. the problem with buying name brand guitars is you are paying for the name as well as the guitar, and since schecter doesn't have the reputation that gibson does, you end up not paying more than you need to. definetely check it out if you get the chance.

Sound is bright. I don't get the "dark" comments. I think it a wonderful lead instrument. I play with fender amps and a PODxt. Generally I only use switch positions 1,3 and 5. The 2 and 4 (single coil options) seem to sound bland through my set up. I am tainted by Gibson's though.

This guitar was absolutely beautiful. Set up great from the factory. Action low and sleek. No buzzes or stray hums/noises.
Finish was beautiful. I could not find a flaw. The intricate vine inlay was superb as well.

So far so good. My only complaint has been the 5-way switch not holding up but that's no big deal. They have excellent customer support.

1 actual email to company about the afore mentioned switch. Got a response in three days with promise to send me parts asap. Irefuse to mail this guitar through the postal service, I'd hate to loose it or get it damaged.

I've played off and on 27 years. Sold electric 15 years ago (Les Paul and I'm kicking myself). Decided to take up playing again with a band. After careful review here and other sites decided to buy this instead of another Les Paul. Not the least bit dissappointed. Plays better and weighs less plus has wonderful sustain. I really love this guitars playability and finish

Made in 2004 Mfg. S. Korea, final set up in California. You already know all the features on this guitar , Real SD PUP's, Grovers ( non-lockers), Neck thru consuction. Jumbo frets, Vine of life inlays. I am not adding to the knowledge pool with this stuff. The Guitar has some good hardware. The 5 posistion switch that I will talk further about is a Schaller (made in Germany) My finish is the Honey Blond with the Flamed maple top. The Finish is first rate.

It has become the main player. Jazz, Swing ,Rock, Country, The five position switching of the two humbuckers has just about everything for live performance covered. Classic Humbucker sound to a single coil Strat like sound. The Guitar does not mimic the Les Paul, Tele or Strat, it is similar in character on some settings but has its own distinct voice. My Les Paul is a case queen now, the vintage Tele is retired. This beautiful Schecter classic has made my entire collection of guitars a bunch of wallflowers. The Sound is bright the sustain is incredible. I may darken the sound later with some mods to the Pots to take the edge off the highs, but the jury is still out on that. The bell like clarity is growing on me.

The action and setup is the best out of the box setup I can remember in 40 years of guitar playing. The 5 posistion switch was intermitant and noisy switching the bridge pickup, but replacing the switch with a new one (sent by Schecter)fixed that problem. The volume and tone Potentiomters were a bit scratchy until they were operated a few cycles and quieted down after a few turns. (I may replace the 500K pots with 250k ohms to darken the sound a bit) The fit and finish on the Guitar was outstanding.

As I said the Schecter Classic was to be my second on stage guitar. It has become the main player. I will be adding strap locks, however the big strap buttons that came with it are substantial. The Guitar is Solid I don't expect to have poblems with it at live performances, My Les Paul is the back-up, you are going break strings.

The 5 posistion switch was noisy and inconsistant between posistion 4 and 5. I emailed Schecter and they sent me a new switch that I installed myself. The tech at Schecter ( Kevin ) was fast and helpful.

You will pay a bunch to get this kind of guitar value with a 'mystical voodoo' big name Gibson, Fender, PRS on it. I have 38 years of card-carrying professional guitar playing under my guitar strap and this is the most fun I've had with a guitar in years. The sustain will have the bassman looking for your new compression stomp box. My face is too old to be grinning this much. I thought the the girls were starting to notice me again, but it must be the Vine of life inlays on the neck that has them looking. If you get a chance you have to play one of these guitars. Make sure you brush well and floss cause everyone is going to see your teeth.
