This is a 2003 C-1 EX made in Korea. It's 24 frets and has a 3 way switch with dual humbuckers. I would have prefered a "les paul" set up with separate volume knobs for each pickup, but it wasn't a factor in purchasing. It has the "Duncan design" pickups which I am to understand are a compy of real seymour duncans, but you would never know it. The finish is gloss black, the bridge is a les paul type and the strings are through body. the scale is slightly longer than regular guitars at 26 1/2 inches.

Holy Crap, what can I say but this guitar sounds like a $2000 guitar packed in a $500 body. The pickups cut through and produce a huge sound. the long scale and string through body make the low end and sustain unbelievable.

I had to mess with the set up a little as this guitar is set up for a different tuning than I use, but it also was one of the easiest guitars I've ever set up. The only complaint is being a korean made guitar there are a couple flaws in the neck, but it's more asthetic than anything.

Let's put it this way, I am an EXTREMELY hard player, and if a guitar is going to crap out during a show, I'll find it. This guitar holds strong and stays in tune..(my $1500 les paul won't even do that)

I was eclusive a PRS player but was looking for a guitar to hold bottom end and de-tuning better, and I found it. My PRS immediately became my backup and I sold my Les Paul to keep this guitar. I love it and I would buy this guitar 10 times over...

I needed to start a c-1 EX forum. you guys are missing out on a great guitar. The Schecter C-1 EX is all out AMAZING. The lows are so good. Heavy distortion? No problem. You palm mute that bitch and it sounds like heaven. The C-1 EX is a part of the sub-tuned series. its made for low tuning as well as standard. If you dont like the shape of the scorpion tribal and devil tribal then get the c-1 . its just like the scorpion and devil tribals, but without that gay demonic headstock. Overall, the guitar is amazing. If you are into de-tuned guitars and metal, The SCHECTER C-1 EX is the PERFECT guitar for you. I have been playng guitar for 6 years now, ive tried many guitars. THIS guitar is the best ive played in my life. I suggest u put down that stupid Omen 6 and go buy a C-1 EX. The C-1 Ex has dual humbucking alnico pickups. Mahagony body and maple fingerboard. sweet guitar....

The guitar is perfect for any genre of music. Punk, nu-metal, heavy metal, jazz. any type is perfect. I suggest that u metal heads get this guitar. SCREW BC RICH. THey dont compare to Schecter. The C-1 EX has nice, deep lows, and high highs. id give this guitar 100000/100

THE ACTION IS PERFECT!! For low tuning and standard tuning. But like every guitar, you CANNOT keep switching tuning back and forth. it will mess up the neck and the action. I keep my baby is drop C. Sounds like a charm.

Of course this guitar will withstand live playing. Mohagany body?? Man its awesome. I can use this guitar anywere, live, recording, practice. Its an all around guitar.

Never dealt with them before. Ive bought from schecter many times. NEVER had a problem with them AT ALL.

OVER ALL RATING IS..i cant because the quality is so high. The only thing i wish that it had was better pick ups. the pickups that come with it are great. but i would like better ones. Like the seymore duncan dimebucker.
