After having the guitar for a couple months, the trem claw screws proved to be flawed. They are too small for the holes Schecter drilled. Also I am glad that this model has chrome plated hardware, because they put Gold plate over chrome and i wears off in like a month. It stays in tune just as good as any floyd equipped axe (excuding Ibanez, bu that is another story entirely-visit www.edromanguitars.com for more info) So far this is my only beef...if more comes up, I'll post that too.

I still recommend this product, Just add some beefcake screws to the trem claw & you should be fine...personal tip: Block the bridge for detune only and get an EVH D-Tuna

This guitar was made in August/September, 2002 in Korea. It has 24 well polished frets, a bookmatched flame maple top/mahohany body, dual humbucker (chrome covered Duncan Design JB & '59) with a volume for each and a master tone-all passive. The neck is flamed maple as well (I assume this is rare, being as neither the dealer nor myself have seen another like it) with a reose wood board with mother of pearl and abalone "vector" inlays. It has a beautiful "black cherry" finish which is actually nice wine red color. the body is like a shunken strat style with a les paul construction and Floyd Rose system. It also has Grover rotomatics (non-locking) and a thin, beefy, Gibson scale (24 3/4") neck. I got a free case because I had to wait 2 month due to a Schecter communication error, and a cable, lifetime warranty that covers non-maintenace items and doesn't cover abuse, and wrenches from Schecter.

My style is hard rock with some softer stuff. This guitar suits my needs quite well. I typically run through a Vox Cambridge 15 with a delay, wah, and a DOD POSFX86 (Death metal, but its only got mud & death-no tone or metal-it got evicted), aside from my POS dist. pedal it rocks. Through a buddys Laney, and another's Mesa, it laid it all out WOW! it's quiet on almost all setting and has a versatile palate. I can go from Dire Straits to POD to Zeppelin and come very close to exact tone. I love it.

First of all, if you've read the reviews on the C-1 Plus (Hardtail), I dont know if some had the right guitar. The action was excellent with no buzz anywhere much unlike horror stories in other reviews. The pickups were adusted flat, but sound fine, so I didn't mess with them. The top was off 1/8" on the bookmatch, which isn't bad. Its far better than some Gibsons and PRS's I've seen. It amazed me with the quality. It says I have to be critical..It went out of tune when Schecter mailed it to RCM (music store). Even though it weighs slightly over 9 lbs., it feels light. It just balances well.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar definately will cut it on a gig. The hardware seems well plated and built to last, as does the finish. the stock strap buttons are pretty beefy, but I changed them out with Dunlop Straploks. I can depend on this guitar to give consistently good tone, but my Les Paul will still go to the gigs, even it evolves into my backup.

I have dealt with Schecter and don't like them. Personally I get the feeling that they're a bunch of concieted @$$holes. Only deal with them if your dealer can't help you. Maybe I'm wrong.

I've played guitar for 9.5 years. I have two late '70s Les Pauls, a strat, a Lindert Locomotive, a Dano doubleneck 12/6, and some acoustics (incl. a 12 string)I also own an Aria Pro II Steve Bailey Avante 4 bass. I don't regret this purchase other than I didn't manage my money well...parents are hanging out for me to pay them for my $300 speeding ticket, fiance hanging out for a ring, and I'm still driving around in mom's minivan...Anyway..oh, yeah, If if I lost it I'd wonder how in the hell I just lost a guitar, and if it were stolen there'd definately be a dead person wandering around with a Schecter. I compared it to my main Les Paul and it stacked up quite well. I also compared it to a BC rich mockingbird, Ibanez POSRG, and decided on this because it was the best looking/sounding and because of the set neck/dual Humbucker/Floyd combo. I wish the Floyd wasn't floating, so I blocked it for bend down only. Personal prefrerence. I do miss having two separate tone knobs, though.
