Set neck, Gibsonish scale, Duncan Designed P-90s, 22 frets, tonepros wraparound bridge, Goldtop. Pretty sure this is a maple cap on a mahogany body with a 3-piece mahogany neck. Nice thin neck, very comfy. Grover tuners are very smooth. Great heel and lower bout cutout, so that upper fret access is amazing. The tonepros bridge is very nice. I figured that I'd have to swap out the Duncan Designed pickups, as I hate the DD humbuckers, but they sound great. Couldn't believe it! I paid $250 for this guy used. It has a ding in the finish, but I could care less. Total score.

I own another Schecter (C-1 exotic with satin finish), so I expected great build quality. What I didn't expect was to love these cheap pickups. They're completely noiseless and still give you that P-90 goodness. Are they the best P-90's ever? Well, no. But, to get those, I'd have to spend as much as I did for this entire guitar. They sound great on clean and overdrive, and there are distinct tonal differences at all 3 pickup selections. Nice surprise!

Like all Schecters I've played, the action and finish are great. The goldtop is the classic goldtop color, not over the top. It's under a lot of finish, so it's hard to see the wood grain, but it's certainly resonant enough. No finish flaws that I can see.
The action is great. On the low side with no buzzing. Can't ask for more than that on a guitar in this price range.

It's a new guitar, but certainly seems solid.

Won't really matter on a used guitar...

I've been playing for 15 years, and I've owned Fenders, Gibsons, and pretty much everything in between. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar. With the combo of this body size, overall feel (solid), and neck scale, it's almost like a budget PRS. And, frankly, I like this a bit more than the PRS SE line. Plus, what's not to like about a goldtop with cream P-90's? A new take on a classic look, great build, and great tone.

Tobacco sunburst flamed maple arched top on a mahogany neck and body. Excellent quality maple top, nice grain.
Strat style body with belly countour for comfort and zero heel at the neck joint. You can't tell where the neck ends and the body begins. Grovers and 6-ply binding on the body, head and 24 3/4 inch scale neck with 22 jumbo frets on a rosewood fingerboard. Construction is flawless on this Korean made guitar (South Korea).
2 vol. 1 tone control for the 2 Duncan Designed P90-1 PUs and 3-way selector N/NB/B
Fully adjustable TonePros AVT2 wraparound bridge.

I can't tell the difference between the Duncan and Duncan Designed PUs. Maybe you can. They're made to Duncan specs but not by Duncan. Big deal.
Sounds great through my Rivera amps.
Great raspy P90 growl with great variety of tones between PUs. Tone pot really adds variey of tones available. Find Magnetic North while playing to eliminate hum. I don't care. Been playing since the 60s.
Gotta love that P90 snarl! I play rock, rock and roll, hard rock, harder rock let it rip 'nuff said!

I like my action slammed and I'll adjust this a little but I played it all afternoon w/o any reason to stop and adjust it as it was very well set up upon arrival. Flawless construction. Just got it today and can't put it down.

Just received it today. Could not put it down. Everything seems extra solid on this guitar. Rotary controls are smooth and perfectly damped. Strap buttons are solid. I'll change to Dunlop straploks as I do on all my axes but stock strap buttons seem just fine..
Finish is beautiful and looks like high quality.
I'll bet I don't need a backup.

Playing since the 1960s. Been a Gibson/Guild guy all my life. Not anymore. Their cost has gotten ridic!! Quality for price is unbelievable with Schecter. I'd replace it if someone thieved it. Been wanting a P90 git for a long while. Now I are one. Real quality instrument. I use Les Paul/Strat/Carvin DC and now Schecter gits. Balance is great and fits like a glove.
