The feaures have all been listed but I have to comment on how light and easy to play this guitar is. The only question for me was do I replace the pickups? So far they've been very versatile and not being a fan of Duncan designed pickups I thought that they'd HAVE to go but after playing this for the last week I am very pleasently surprised. I LOVE the Stripper Girl inlays and the action and is perfect. The genuine grover tuners hold tune better than My Delue American Strat and for the $150 dollars I paid for this it may well be the best buy I've ever had on a really high quality guitar

Sound : 8
better than expected...Stlll may throw in a Set of Seymore Duncan '59's but I am very pleasently surprised by how good it sounds as is

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Shecters have earned a reputation in the Music Industry of being very well set up befor their set up. I really can't say how it came from the factory because mine is a 2004 and I bought it used but it plays like a dream, stays in tune forever and is very touch responsive. Great neck and neglibible weight (lighter than a strat)

Reliability/Durability : 9
Mines a 2004 and it's in perfect condition, doesn't even have a scratch on it so it MUST be built like a tank.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
This is by far the best $150 dollars I have ever spent. I love the feel, the neck, the inlays are beautiful and the guitar is light as a feather with a BIG sound. They were $480 new so if you can find one used GRAB IT!!! After playing it I would have payed double what it cost me and still feel I had the best guitar for the money on the planet. I HIGHLY recomend this guitar to an intrmediate or professional player. You may want to cahnge the pickups at some point but the tuning, weight, feel and looks of this guitar make it a STEAL!!

I've owned this guitar for a year and a half now and it still feels brand new in my hands every day when I pick it up. The finish is tough as nails and I've had zero problems with the paint, hardware etc. Read below for features. I got Guitar Center to throw in a bag, stand and some strings for free. I love the body of this guitar, it's so smooth and sexy, just like the ladies on the fretboard.

Sound : 9
I had no intention of buying a guitar the day that I found this gem. I was screwing around at GC playing with amps and I picked this baby off the shelf and about 15 seconds later I knew it was coming home with me. The feeling and sound sold me instantly. Soon I'll be installing EMGs and I think that's really going to take this thing to the next level. Stock pus are a little weak but that's to be expected in this price category. I've been surprised how well this guitar handles heavy gauge strings and downtuning. I'm using Ernie Ball Beefy Slinkys right now and I can tune down to B-E-A-D-G-B with almost no problems. It's usually in drop C though which it handles flawlessly.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
My ONLY complaint about this guitar is I feel like the nut could be aligned just slightly better so there's a bit more room for the low E string on the fretboard. It seems just a few millimeters too close to the edge.

Reliability/Durability : 10
EVERYTHING about this guitar is solid. Zero problems. I would really like to find a second one as a spare someday, that's how much I love this thing.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing metal for 13 years. I've owned 3 ESPs, a mexi-strat and this. All the other guitars have been sold. I'll never get rid of this one. I want it to go in my casket with me, Dime-style.

Contrary to popular belief there are two finishes on this guitar. There is the black finish with creme binding and the gorgeous black cherry quilted finish with abalone binding. The back cherry finish seems to be extremely rare as I cannot find any examples of it online. How do I know it exists? I own one! I can e-mail you pics! The pickups are double humbucker duncan knockoffs but can hold thier own. A threeway selector, two volume knobs, and a tone/coil tap round out the controls. Tone pros bridge and grover knobs in black chrome help set this guitar off. Although made in Korea, this guitar will stand up to all of the North American cheaper models. 24 frets with a cutaway strat style body. Oh and the stripper inlays in abalone are very unique creative and just kick a$$.

Sound : 9
You will not get any strat or tele sounds out of this guitar but if you really want those types of tones go buy a fender. This guitar is all about metal. I run it through my Randall Scott Ian half stack and it smokes. The clean leaves somthing to be desired, but with the coil tap you can get some pretty awesome metal sounds. he sustain is amazing and can go for days. I can really dial in a thick heavy brutal sound with this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Guitar was set up very well. Apparently they make em in Korea and set em up right here in the states. The finish on mine is stunning. The top is quilted and the black cherry color goes perfect with the inlays. The abalone binding is well done and adds a nice look with the inlays and quilted top really bringing it all together. There is no obvious flaws and this guitar seems to be made with love and care.

Reliability/Durability : 8
You can take this on the stage but really the black cherry is more of a studio guitar. It is really a good looking guitar (Think Hellraiser black cherry finish with abalone) and it would be a shame to ruin it by lots of hardcore stage performances. Not a guitar you would want to beat up. It is very well made and will last if you take care of it. As with all my guitars I put in some strap locks. Get a case and it should last forever.

Customer Support : 1
Schecter seems to deny the existance of this axe. It was a Guitar Center exclusive and the guy that sold it to me didn't know anything about it. I guess it has the standard Schecter warranty but who knows. I have e-mailed dozen of times for more info but get the same run around. It even seems they are ashamed of this gorgeous instrument. All I know is that this an outstanding guitar that Schecter should be proud of.

Overall Rating : 9
No guitar is perfect but this one comes close. Decent price with custom features you just can't go wrong picking one of these up. Truss rod cover even says custom xxx. The black finish to me leaves somthing to be desired but the black cherry...... If anyone stole this from me I would go ballistic. Run, hide, I would find you and go medievil on your a$$. All in all its in a class all its own. For the price no guitar can touch it.

Mother of pearl stripper inlays, you know the rest. Wish it had real Seymour Duncans intead of the Duncan Designs though

Sound : 8
Sounds great for everything I've tried so far but I'm definitely putting "real" Duncans in it. Sounds better than the Elite I have though

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Mother of pearl binding all the way around the entire guitar just like the Elite looks PHENOMINAL! See-through wine colr is very uniqe and I have NEVER seen one. Action is fast and low like my Jackson's. Stay in tune nicely

Reliability/Durability : 9
Bullet proof!!!!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Bought used and I don't foresee ANY issue in the near future.

Overall Rating : 9
I give this guitar an easy 9.5 and I would give it a 10 if it had "real" Duncans. Very impressed with the quality for the price.

You've read them all before....Stripper Inlays, Double Buckers, Coil Tap

Sound : 9
If you play hard rock or metal, this is THE guitar to have. Every sound you could ever want and then some. Excellent sustain. My only complaint is that the clean sounds could be a bit better. It doesn't sound bad clean, but also doesn't sound great.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Off the rack, the action was great, the intonation was almost dead on absolutely no complaints on this area.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Other than the input jack nut jiggling loose, this guitar has really stood up to a lot of playing.

Customer Support : 8
I've had the chance to talk to them once or twice. But not for problems. When talking customs, they are great. Of course that's more of a sales thing than a customer support thing.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for over 20 years and this is up there on my favorite guitar list.
I have since bought another Schecter and plan to buy a Bada Bling later this year.
Again, if you play songs that are mostly on the clean channel, you may not love this. But if you play harder rock, you will fall in love with it.

bought this guitar in it's only finish, black. white binding on body, neck and headstock, 2 passive humbuckers, stripper-type inlays, two volume, one tone w/push-pull coil tap. 3-way switch. USA made. both 'buckers are Duncan Designed. 24 frets. mahogany body. that's about all I know. not sure on the scale.

Sound : 9
just to start off, I've owned this guitar for a couple years. so the glitz and glamour of getting a new guitar have long passed and this is an unbiased review as possible.

I like to explore a lot of different styles and incorporate them within my own musical mantra. but would definetely say I play heavy. this guitar has been able to accomplish most of my demands. you can get a solid distortion out of this thing. but the cleans are okay. I would say the cleans are discouraging, but they aren't as good as some of the other guitars I own. good, just not great.

I used to play through a Blue Voodoo head, but it burned up. now I have a Peavey XXL solid state head. and the Schecter sounds really good through it, especially for being solid state. very heavy and responsive.

I was going to get this guitar or another C-1 that had the JB/59 combo in it, and the difference in tone quality was negligible for the couple hundred dollars more that Guitar Center wanted.

I would say the sound is more rich than bright. this guitar would be well suited for metal, blues and rock and punk. I'm considering getting a Duncan Distortion pup for the bridge, to give it more kick.

I gave it a 9 because the tone and sound you get in this price range is really good against other models and makes.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
the intonation is about half on from the factory. and the action needed adjustment. but those were my only true complaints. but it has a tune-o-matic bridge so intonation isn't that big of a problem and action is easily adjusted as well. so, I wouldn't give it a great rating off the rack. paint job is fine. but I don't go everything with a fine tooth comb anyways.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've owned this guitar for nearly 2 years. the only problem I've had was that the input jack comes loose unless you crank the screw down on it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for 9 years. I've owned all kinds of guitars name brand and not, BC Rich, multiple Ibanez, PRS, Jay Turser, and a Schecter 7 string. this guitar ranks pretty well on my personal scale of quality to price.

I paid $500 w/case @ Guitar Center with a little haggling. I think it's a great guitar. it's still my main guitar. I wish it had better access to the top frets, but thats minor. the Duncan Design pups are pretty good, very comparable to the JB/59 set, a little more hot though.

if it were stolen I'd be seriously bummed out. I probably wouldn't buy another one, just because I always want to try something new. I doubt I will every buy the same guitar twice. but if you have a budget around $500 I would definetely recommend a Schecter C-1. they give you quite a bit of tonal diversity without sacraficing overall tonal value in doing so.

If you've read other reviews then you know.

Sound : 10
I play 80's metal and this guitar is perfect for my style. The stock pickups which are identical to the JB 59 combo sound just fine, good enough for me not to want a pup change. And it even sounds pretty good acoustically. This is my favorite guitar that I own.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This axe was setup just the way I like it brand new.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've owned it since 04' and I've never had to repair it,actually the finish is so good on it that it still looks new. This is one tough guitar,I would and do gig with this w/o backup.

Overall Rating : 10
I have played alot of guitars from 500 bucks to 5000,and this thing plays just as good as any of them all the way up.The strippers are classy, the finish is bar none, just wish it had a floyd rose.Funny story with this guitar and why I love her so much, about a year ago she was stolen out of my house,I did shed a tear or two and it really got to me,so I went looking for a used one on ebay, you'll never guess, there was my guitar, the lady had put the serial # in the auction and I looked on my reciept and blam there she was,I knew it was mine because she had left the strap on it even before i saw the #,so we went to court and I got her back,it was meant to be!

Bought this new from Guitar center. I got the Black Cherry finish. You all know the specs.

Sound : 10
I love the sound of this guitar. I play lots of different styles but I must say this guitar sounds best when playing metal.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The Black Cherry finish rocks and goes well with the Stripper Inlays. The guitar looks to be well made. The guitar was set up nicely and the abalone binding looks great.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have only had this guitar a couple months but I don't think i'll have any problems.

Customer Support : 1
I asked for a manual on this guitar to get some more info on it but I don't think they are going to send me one. Thier customer service really blows.

Overall Rating : 10
I love this guitar. I went in to guitar center convinced I was going to buy a PRS and I came out with this. I would track anyone down to the ends of the Earth if they stole this guitar and I would do unspeakable things to them. This ax is a beauty and plays as good as it looks.

Dont know when it was made, others posting said that it was made in 03 or so. Made in Korea, has 24 accesible frets. Two volume controls, one tone control with single coil-Humbucker settings (pull up tone control). Two EMG pickups that are battery powered. Black finish that gets dirty easily, but shines when cleaned properly. Strat style body. Grover tuners, nice neck, wider than my Stratocaster.

Sound : 8
I play many styles (Rock, Jazz, R&B), and seems to be able to fit those styles fairly seamlessly. Use this axe with Digitech multi-effect stomp box and Crate solid state amp, a match made in heaven. Seems to make a bit of noise when switching pickup selector, but no big deal. Has nice warm sound, but need to change neck pickup, as it is a bit strident for my tastes.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Bought this used at local music store, some idiot had put some stupid eye-hole fasteners where the strap holders were, replaced immediately with Dunlop strap locks. Intonation is great, neck was straight, action is great, overall feel is great. Had a slight ding on the back, possibly from belt-buckle rubbing. Finish is overall in great condition.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I think this thing could withstand a nuclear war without messing up. I have not had it a great deal of time, but seems that it is very solid overall. I would use this in combination with my trusty Mexican Strat, which I have dropped on numerous occasions and it still survives.

Customer Support : 2
I went to their website to find info on this particular guitar, and found nothing. I would not know where to find info on this axe, except for Harmony Central, so I would rate Schecter site low on this aspect for this particular guitar.

Overall Rating : 9
Played this for a few days, but have played many guitars, and owned twice as many, and will say that this one is one of my very favorites, because of the overall quality and playability of this instrument. If this were stolen, would put FBI and CIA on the case for this axe. I really like it. The XXX seems to be a somewhat rare guitar, for its stripper girl fret inlays, but that is fine, because despite that, I like the playability, and I chose this over the Gibson Les Paul Standard, and it cost far less. If you have one, dont sell or pawn it!!
;^)
