It has just what you need. Maybe a little too much. 2 volume nobs are fine for the studio i guess, but being a guitarist in a touring band, I'm not too big on it.

Sound : No Opinion
It sounds prety great. There tends to be some hissing at sometimes. But that doesnt really bother me too much.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion

Reliability/Durability : 4
This guitar or atleast the guitar I bought at first is reliable but then if u dont keep on it and play live frequently it will fall apart and totally screw you over. Ive had the input totally fail on me in front of 200+ people and also had the the strap bolts rip out and strip. But thats what a back up guitars for right?

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 7
Its a prety good guitar. I mean it def looks really bad ass and gives some great tone even in the stock pick ups. Just watch out for the input .

ya already know about the naked lady sillhouettes!

Sound : 10
It sounds amazing! It sustains forever! The intonation is the best i've ever heard on any guitar ever! Currently I'm plying this through a Johnson Millenium 250 amp with 4x12 cab. It stomps!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
the action was perfectly set on this thing for optimum intonation. This is rare thing and probably only specif to the guitar I bought. There's no way *ever* c 1 plus would be this tight. Unlike many of the reviews here, the p-ups are fine! warm, lots of sustain, low noise. I don't like the tunin hardware. That's just my thing. I dislike all tuning hardware that requires a string wrap. I ahve replaced with sperzels..

The finish of this guitar is on par with PRS - I kid you not! Save 2 grand and get one of these instead...

Reliability/Durability : 10
this ting is SUPER solid!@ I could toss it off the lip of the grand canyon, hike to the bottom to get it and play a show in the valley!

haven't needed to call them....

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for a long time. I've played Carvin's, Peavy, Fender, Gibson, SG, Les Pauls, ESP's, Ibanez and multiple models of all of the above.... This guit is amazing. I'm telling you! I know what I'm talking about people.....

Mine has a lot of buzz and hiss coming out of it. When you switch it to a single coil it gets about ten times worse.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
When i bought it, it was perfect. I swtched strings and it's buzzing. It may be the strings.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
It's holding up well after a year.

Customer Support : 9
I emailed schecter abou the hiss. Thye responded the next day. Everyone bitches abou them, but they were very helpful on the phone. I can mail them my guitar and they will fix the buzzing or replace it. I have to pay to ship it. They pay for the return. that seems fair to me..

Overall Rating : 7
It needs a diffrent pickup in the neck and it needs to be babied every time you change the strings. I may buy a les paul. It was a little too expensive. I like that it's lightweight.

For the money...a nice piece of hardware. See the list of components below...

-2003 Korean Manufacture
-Guitar Center Limited Edition...don't even waste your time looking for info on Schecter or the web for that matter...HC is about it!
-24 Jumbo Frets...with NO DISCERNABLE WEAR...as the prior owner must have spent all his time HACKING THIS THING UP INSTEAD OF PLAYING IT!
-3 Way Selector, 2 Volume, 1 Tone (pull to "coil tap" humbuckers)
-2 Duncan Designed Humbuckers
-Black Finish
-Double Cutaway
-TonePros Tune-O-Matic Bridge
-Grover Tuners
-Mahogany Body
-Rosewood Fretboard
-Maple Neck
-Faux Pearl Girl Silhouette Inlays On Neck...very nicely done...clean.
-Creme Binding (Body, Neck, Headstock)

***Ton of features for a mid priced/entry level guitar...quality parts...Grover, Tone Pros, Duncan Designed...but...mine had been "hacked" by some BOZO...who put a White Duncan SH14 Custom 5 in the neck, a Creme Dimarzio DP100 Super Distortion in the bridge...and tried to GLUE A SINGLE COIL in the middle...yep...GLUE...LIKE I SAID...PRIOR OWNER WAS AN IDIOT. He also goofed up the wiring so one pickup wasn't working and it has some ugly ass chrome and white pearl knobs instead of the original brushed finish ones. Basically...this thing should have been in a Pawn Shop instead of the local Guitar Center as a "pre-owned" item!

I was looking at $199.00 Squier Telecaster Customs to install a EMG ZW Set that I had sitting and collecting dust...but...I got this thing for $230 when it was $599 new...then I sold the Duncan & Dimarzio for $75 on eBay...bringing my investment to $155. I cleaned it up, took out all of the electronics and replaced them w/a Zakk Wylde EMG 85 Neck/81 Bridge set w/EMG Vol/Tone Pots and a "Dummy" Pot on the bottom control slot, a new 3 Way LP Type Toggle, strung it w/.10-.46 Strings and now...it kicks ass! I found a Cool "Betty Page" Sticker to cover up the unsightly glue spot between the pickups where the previous dumbass owner's "glue on" pickup attempt "shone" through.

Sound : 10
Sounds great. My first experience w/EMGs, but I like them, they're different from my Duncan/Dimarzio Pickups in my other 6 guitars, and that's okay, as it's just "another sonic color w/which to paint". They work very well w/the Mahogany Set-Neck Body. Personally, the EMGs are clear, powerful and bring out all the sounds/tones of the instrument in a clearly defined manner...no extaneous noises/hum!!!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Well put together, strings line up perfectly over the neck, components are top notch and I've upgraded the pickups/electronics. Other than two little finish blips on the binding, which I touched up w/a black touch up paint pen, the only "flaws" are from the "prior owner slash guitar modifying geek"...which I've been fortunate to be able to convert/clean up/cover for the most part. This guiar is no jewel, but it is a fully competent "player grade" guitar that just looks as if...well...as if it's been played. As I got it in "PAWN SHOP" Condition, I'll give it a 8, although I'm sure it was a 9 when new.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Hell...it withstood the previous moron owner...there's not much more that could happen to it unless you went Townsend/Cobain/Hendrix on it! It's all good stuff...finish is in suprisingly good condition, has a few scratches on the black finish...but any black finish will show every little brush mark from contact...so...it's solid otherwise and, since there is not a Floyd Rose, it stays in tune.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Ha...read the other reviews...they don't even acknowledge it exists...besides...it was soem limited run for Guitar Center...so...it's not like it's a PRS, Gibson or Fender Custom Shop Model!

Overall Rating : 9
I've been plinking away at the guitar since 1989. Own 5 Kramers (86 gemaster Custom, 88/89 Elliot Easton Pacer Imperial, 86 Baretta Kline Space Graphic #24 of 62, 88/85 Kramer Elliot Easton F2K Mongrel), a B.C. Rich Graffiti Graphic Gunslinger, a 2003 Warmoth SRV Tribute Superstrat with a Birdseye Maple Board Neck, Candy Tangerine 2 PC Alder, WD KKT3 Floyd Lic. Double Locking w/Brass Block and Vintage Dimarzio SDS1 Pickups, and, a 1989 Alvarez-Yairi DY53 Euro Mini-Jumbo Handmade Acoustic 6 Sting...1979 Marshall JMP 50W 2x12 w/Vintage Celestion "Greenbacks"...various Vintage Pedals- Boss Japan SD1, Original Ibanez Japan TS9 Overdrive, 2 Ibanez SM9 Overdrive/Distortions, MXR ZW 44 OverDrive, Tech 21 Sans Amp GT2 and Double Drive, Boss Metal Zone, DOD Big Pig Fat Distortion, Guyatone MC2 Micro Chorus, Boss Japan NS2...

I really wasn't looking for this guitar, but I had seen it months ago at Guitar Center marked at $349.99 and thought it was an overpriced shame as it was...but had potential for a "revamp". In comparison to what this guitar offered from a design/build quality and component quality aspect...made it a "no brainer" at $230.00. I tried to talk them down...twice...over a few days...but the said that they had $230 in Trade In Value on it...so that was as low as they would go...which was good enough for me.

No clue when it was made, but probably 03-04. You guys know the specs, as it's been covered. It has stripper inlays, what more do you need.

Sound : 10
Love is an understatement. I hate strat body's & vowed i'd never play one. My brother in law needed money & wanted to sell this. I was joining a hardcore band & needed another guitar to mess with. I tried this out & fell in loved.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
My brother in law played those god awful Zakk Wylde boomers. Once I found a hack saw to cut them off ( kidding ), I put on Slinky 9's & this thing sang proud. Always in tune & sounds great through my Marshall as well as my Behringer Vampire. All finish/electronics were in perfect condition. I've scratched it up more than him, but that's all good. when you see what I paid for it, you'll know why.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is my main & I've played out with it a few times. It's a work horse. I changed the buttons & put on locks. It's always in tune ( or close to it )& I haven't had any problems in the month of so i've had it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't needed.

Just a great solid guitar, nothing more, nothing less. Sounds great, plays great, looks great, is great...

All Stock 2003 model, Korean With Gigbag. 24 fret solid top, all Black with white binding. Two Humbucker Duncan Designed with coil split. Tone pros bridge, grovers, nice neck profile for me.

Sound : 9
Variety of sound with coil tap and tone control. Meets my needs there. No noise from pick-ups which I can't say about my MIM strat.
I use a Mesa Rocket 44. I would prefer a better quality pickup like real Duncans.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Plug in and play.

Reliability/Durability : 8
These Schecters are built well for the price point and quality, I own a papa roach, and a C-1 Elite as well and these are better made than some of the USA guitars I own. The finish is nice and after wipe down the gloss comes back. Very dependable and solid. I would gig with it without a back up but I don't have that issue because I own a few guitars.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them because I've had no issues!

Been playing over 20 years, and I have 15 guitars, most of them collector grade, (2005 jimmy page Authentic, 1964 SG standard, 35th Anniversry Les Paul, Blah Blah, Blah....These are good players.
I would buy another one if stolen. I love the strippers, they don't talk back and whenI touch them they don't smack me. The pick-ups should have been actual duncans like my Papa Roach.

Korean made guitar. Solid body, string through. Dual Duncan designed humbuckers with coil tap switch for that single coil sound.

Sound : 10
I love the sound of the humbucker and the single coil... single coil sound is thin and ratty... haha! I love it.. and the humbucker sound is warm. Great for hobbyist like me. Played the more expensive models... they were too warm... I've owned nashville tele, gibson sg, fernandez strat with seymour duncan screamin' demon at bridge, Ibanez RG250 (my first!) and a worthless les paul copy.

I play anything that sounds like nu-metal, to country ballad, to 90's alternative... guitar is lots of fun

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
When I played it I felt like my fingers were having fun... I have played many guitars... this by far was the most fun.

Sound : 9
Great sound for my playing abilities. I would like to hear it with real Duncans. I have played pretty much all of the Schecter models at Guitar Center, and it sounds pretty much the same as the others. The sound and sustain of these guitars were two main factors in determining my purchase. It does buzz a little when the pickups are split, but I think that is probably normal.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I took it back to Guitar Center to have it set up properly. It seemed to be out of whack a little from the factory. It has great action. Everything looks pretty good.

Reliability/Durability : 7
After about 7 months the plastic pickup mount on the neck pickup cracked and a corner piece of it fell off. It looks like the screws may have been a little too tight. The binding looks like it is yellowing slightly, but it was in the garage in the case most of the summer.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't contacted the factory.

Overall Rating : 9
What a cool looking guitar!!! My old guitar had a whammy, so I miss that, but the sustain and tuning are so much better! I was probably going to buy a C-1 Elite, but this guitar looked cool with the inlays, and the coil tap was a plus, too. Schecter-Highly recommended!

24 frts (Awsome Naked Ladies fretboard)
2 tone knobs 1 volume knob and a 3 way selector
Duncan performers
string-thru
Jumbo frets
Single Coil Volume know(awsome sound)
BLACK

Sound : No Opinion
Its perfect for Death metaland progressive stuff because it is the BEST guitar in the world for pinch Harmonics seriosley and super long and great sustain.I used it with an Marshall AVT150with a Mode Four cab with the chorus on and it was the best sound ever produced in Heavey metal history.DEFINTE MUST FOR METAL HEADS.I sometimes play old stuff like Queen or other classic rock, and the single coil pull-up knob is incredibley awsome.I am dissapointed that Shecter does not make any Tremelo type guitars for the C-1/XXX, But you cant go wrong with the fretboard.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
It has super low Action and the neck is baseball-ishley thick only best when your doing super crazy vibratos on the lower 3 strings.
The pickupS are Incredible sounding for its high set on the bridge.
Although my wires for the knobs are completley Broken because I got this one from a trade with somone who got it from a pawn shop ,I just fidget around a little to get it sounding full again.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar will deffinetly stand the abuse of live shows.
Some of the Hard ware seems a little chiped but it doesnt effect the sound. The finnish is like a black mirror, and trust me when I say SHecter can stand abuse, but that doesnt mean you can't treat it like a baby.Plus its a string-Thru so it wont have any tremelo problems.good rock strap buttons it mostley dependable,I would use this one and buy another one for backup just incase the strings break AT shows.

Customer Support : 10
I got this from a trade for a Line 6 Am4 Amp modler, thats Crazy for the other guy, but he said it was'nt the most Jazz Tne guitar in the world. So technically i got this for about $149.00 sweet deal.the best deal I ever got!I HATED the Line 6 AM4.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for almost 9 years.I dont regret anything the day i traded for this guitar I absolutley Hated that line 6 stomp box.If it were stolen I would might want to buy somthing else Just to see if there is anything better.I can compar this guitar to the PRS custom 24 fret, Gibson Custom, Gibson classic,C1-Elite,Music man guitars,Ibanez RG500, Jackson DXMG, and Shecter beat all thoughs do to better playability, Way better sound, and faster neck.To bad there is no tremelo, "CAUTION, FOR EXCLUSICE USE FOR METAL HEADZ ONLY"

Manufactured in South Korea, assembled in USA. Carved mahogany body, set mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets w/ strippers inlays - 25 1/2 scale - medium thin neck. Two Duncan Design humbucker PU's - Vol/Vol/push-pull Tone. Gloss black. Tone Pros locking bridge w/ string through. Grover lock tuners. All hardware nickel colour. Came with TKL case.

Sound : 10
I play mostly aggressive stuff... metal, rock ect. Fits my playing style perfectly. I find the PU's could be of better quality, maybe as an option from Schecter. I will replace them with genuine SD '59 neck and JB bridge PU's - (as soon as I get a new soldering tip). The guitar sounds really full. Lots of tone and sustain for weeks. I find the push/pull option a little weak. But then again I'm not the kind of player to use single coil tones anyway. Great guitar for metal though.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action on it was very low - just how I like it. Altought it's been set up with .009's - I will set it up for .010's - but that's just personnal taste! Finish is excellent and the nudies inlays make it quite cool. I must admit I found it a little corny at first but now I'm well adjusted!! Great cream colour binding all around the guitar. And the nickel finished hardware does look great. I'm a 'black' kind of guy so I will change everything to black chrome!

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
N/A do to short period with guitar, but I definetely think it won't give any problems. As far as back up guitars, I like to live in fear and I never bring back-ups to gigs.... too lazy!

Customer Support : 4
I tried to get some info from Schecter on the XXX model but they are quite non-responsive, and the web site does need improvements. Not very informative. I bought the XXX used and it's a factory second which doesn't have any guarantees. I had been informed of that before buying the guitar.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing for 22 years. Played a lot of rock, mostly metal in my teens. But know I'm back to my metal roots _\m/. If the guitar was stolen I would definetely purchase another one, after hanging the thief by his ba**s and shoving 'em down his throat first! I own a few other guitars, even a custom made. I'm always looking for something different ( I don't want 2 guitars that look and sound the same), and I knew I needed a mahogany with set mahogany neck guitar (I like Explorers you see!) I'm not a collector, I'm a player and I HATE to pay huge amounts of money for a guitar. Because to me it's not worth it. Of course a Les Paul would be nice, but they're not worth 2000$+ to me. It's just a piece of wood with strings on it, come on! There is some exageration from the guitar makers that's for sure. But as long as people are dumb enough to dish out the big bucks to get them, who wouldn't do the same! Right?
