I have had it about 2 years. Its a flame maple top, set neck, mahogany. Grover tuners, fixed bridge, no trem(don't use them much anyways) had duncan design, but put in a seymour duncan JB(bridge) and 59(neck. 3 way selector switch, one tone one volume

It sounded good, with new strings...But once they got a little old, it was very dead and muddy. Very crisp and clear though, I fell in love with the neck pickup, was sketchy on deciding whether or not to change it, but I went ahead and did it. Mahogany is awesome for a seven, a little heavy, but perfect for that low end, this wood is a perfect resonating chamber for the low A I tune to. If it came stock with real duncans like the new blackjack series, it would be a 10. But since i had to change em, and 8 with be sufficient. Once again, they didn't sound bad, most people wouldn't change them, but i wanted that guitar to look and sound like it was made for what it is.

It plays well, with the lamenated neck, its a little more difficult to move fast without your hands rubbing, but my hands sweat a lot, so the action is pretty quick for me. The 24th fret could be better to access, but i never use it, i grew up on a 22 fret Shane 6 string. It was set up well, i adjusted the pickups and did some intonation, but that is just personal preference(my tone is precious to me). I lifted the bridge a wee bit, but thats only cause I drop ADGCFAB, and the strings buzzed a little. I throw either 58-60 guage strings for the low b, and normal they come in 10's packs. Mad tone now, looks gorgeous, the flame maple top with the sunbirst and the deep dark stain used for the back. It is a work of artistic geneous I must say. Looks nice and classy, but plays so dirty and dark. It isn't as innocent as it looks my friends. It gets a nine, only because it came set up good, each person adjusts, it was a good setup for standard tuning, not drop, but i suppose by throwing a guage 67 baritone on the low b and you wouldn't have to mess with anything, the strings would be so tight and bright that you would break a pick before breaking the string...actually, that sounds like a pretty good idea...

I has for 2 years, and will. Never falls out of tune, unless you plan on changing the strings in the morning and playing a show that night. The strings on this should settle for about 2 hours of playing time and good tuning maintaining and after that, it won't fail ya. Straps are solid, screws haven't come loose yet. Dependable, i would still gig with a back up...you never know what can happen.

I've been playing for about 8 years, i'm 18 years old, and i've had about 8 guitars. this is my favorite for its looks and killer tone. My tone god though is my warlock 7 with an emg. It only has the bridge hooked up, the passive neck just doesn't like the active bridge. Its raging, but not as versitile as this one is. If you want to buy it, good luck finding it, cause its discontinued. I suggest the new black jack if you cant find this one. I prefer this one becuase of the finish and price, but the blackjack is new, and is standard with seymours in it, not duncan "design". Rock on schecter, blow my fucking nuts off.check out my bands website at www.freewebs.com/ablick1/
