Black as stylish as a Tuxedo but with the Tribal neck it looks like BATMAN gone VOODOO. My model year had Duncan Design (Offshore) Pickups but I understand the newer ones had EMG active pickups. A good move by Schecter.

Sound : 8
I purchased a used Devil Tribal about a year ago it was rather dirty and neglected. I changed the Strings and set it up to intonate with a Medium set of 10's and was pleased with the results at first.
It has a warm tone for such a light guitar and had no where as good sustain as the C1 Schecter Classic. Nor did it have the selector for pickup switching the C1 had. I was rather disappointed with the tone.

I feel the Duncan Design pickups were better suited to JAZZ with the warm and earthy tones they have. I took it to a Luthier and had replacement Pickups and POTS installed. Custom Bill Lawrence (Dimebags original) bridge and a Fernandez Sustainer (+Ebow) for the neck.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Beautiful inlays makes the neck very very fast to play. The Action is good for its price range. Well crafted and it holds its tune well.
Its hard to see just where you are on the neck at times with so much TRIBALNESS of the inlay pattern.
Its well ballanced and easy to play with even small hands and as I have said its light.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar had been abused and it was missing some screws and Nut cover. Still it brushed up well and is a killer styled axe.
Durable as heck it crossed Customs by mail in a flimsy cardboard box so its as well made as many.
I use it for gigs so I can leave my other babies safe on the self!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to call them.

Overall Rating : 9
I have had some great Guitars by Fender and Gibson and some CHEAP ones by Jay Turser and Yamaha and I would rate this guitar pretty high. If my 60's Harmony were a ZERO and a Rickenbacker 330 were a ten then this would be a 7 on that scale. To say 10 means it meets expectation and it does that but its NOT the perfect Guitar. Its GOOD
so I will give a 9 but better electronics, more sustain and finer wood and finnish would keep it from being perfect.
Still for the price it does its job on stage even if its not a collectors item.

Appareantly this guitar was manufactured in the year 2000, it was made in Korea, 24 insane frets with tribal inlays, solid body, volume, and 2 tones, 2 duncan designed humbuckers, 3 way selector, mahogany body, metallic black finish, set neck construction, Tune O Matic bridge, non locking grover tuners, jumbo frets, and a great tone!

Sound : 10
This guitar really suits my music style, based on heavy metal, latin Rock, and reggae, even classic rock can be played on this guitar.
I use a Peavey Backstage 110>>>death metal distortion pedal DOD>>>Wah Pedal, and that's about it.
This guitar isn't very noisy, only a little bit of feedback, not too much, rich/full sound, and a wide variety of sounds, i've played Flamenco on this guitar, electric style, and it sounded great.
I do not dislike anything about this guitar

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar is very well constructed, very solid, great action, the humbuckers stay where they're supposed to be, nothing is loose, except for the tone knob, which i super glued later on.
This is a REAL guitar and not a piece of crap like the Fender squier bullets, you can rely on this instrument.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar will definetly withstand live playing, the hardware doesn't seem to get loose, the paintjob is great, not a scratch, and i strongly doubt that the finish will wear off.
I haven't had any problems with The strap buttons, and of course i can depend on it!
I would use it on a gig without back up, all i'd need is extra strings, just in case if i break a string, i won't have to stop playing this guitar.

Customer Support : 8
I called Schecter so i could find out about where it was made and how old my model was, but they didn't help.
I've never had to repair this guitar, and i did not have a warranty on this instrument since i bought it used.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar for about 4 years now, i own 2 more guitars, a fender acustic (classical) CG7, and a black ibanez, Grx20z, my peavey amp, it was manufactured in the 1980's here in the U.S., i also use a DOD pedal and a wah, i'm thinking about getting a AX7221, by ibanez.
If this guitar was stolen i would be very upset, and i'd find the hippie who took it to beat him up.
I love everything about this guitar, i'm very satisfied with my purchase, the guy at guitar center showed it to me and i fell in love with it, so i put it on lay away immediately, since i did not have all the money needed.
This guitar works for me, i'm very inflenced by heavy metal, reggae, and Rock sang in spanish, like Brujeria.

The Schecter Devil Tribal: Set maple neck, mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, TonePros w/thru body bridge, Grover tuners, black chrome hardware, Duncan Design H-103 pickups, 2-Vol / Tone / 3-way with a Gloss Black finish. Oh, and one more thing... Evil looking tribal inlay!!!!!! I love the devil face on the back of the head. I like how the head looks like horns, but what is even better is that its not huge like the B.C. Rich guitar heads

I added custom skull knobs to mine. To put it simply, Its the most evil guitar!

Sound : 10
This is the ultimate guitar for metal. Its what I live for. You get a phat sound that screams. I play through a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, and let me tell you. that stack put together with the devil mix very well together. The distortion is very bright and low at the same time, and the best is muting for a low chunky/stompy feel. But when you play through the clean channel, that guitar produces the most beautiful sound I've heard. I add a Boss Super Chorus, and Boss Digital Delay/Reverb to give it a very melodic feel. It can hit some phat squeals too. I don't think there is one thing I dislike about this guitars sound. Its just amazing

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It came set up very well. I did adjust one of the pickups just a tiny bit, more for the band I'm playing in, but before I did that it still sounded unbelievable. The action was set perfect, not a flaw at all. Everything works just fine. I've been playing it for over a year now and its still in gooooooood condition.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I baught this guitar because I was sick of playing my B.C. Rich warlock that kept falling apart, and outside shows it would always be out of tune very fast all the time. The Schecter saved my life when playing gigs. I only had to tune it twice (once before and almost near the end of the show) during an hour + set outside. I've played this guitar since August of 2002 and it still plays as if it was new. There are a couple nicks I gave it while jumping and hitting the low ceiling of the practice room, and it still is holding together well. My B.C. Rich, the head started cracking and broke in two. Not cool. The only thing that dissapoints me is I can't use a locked strap because the strap screws are to small for the body's original screws, so I'de have to go buy some from the hardware store, which isn't bad, but I'm just too lazy haha. I think anyone could depend on this guitar. So far out of all the shows I've played with it, I've never had to touch a backup guitar unless I needed to change for a different tuned guitar for a song. That makes me proud.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them. Don't think I will ever have to

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 10 years now. I live for playing metal and this guitar is one of the ultimate metal guitars. In Fact Schecter makes good guitars like that. If I ever lost it or it got stolen (knock on wood) I would buy it again, or another Schecter.. possibly one from the custom shop. (My eyes are set on that Avenger Apocolypse.) Anywho, I was really nervous my first time playing it for a show considering you don't have much of a map for the fretboard, but knowing the board well, I had no problem. It has to be one of the coolest inlays I have ever seen in my life. But if your very experianced, its easy to move around on the fretboard and not get lost. If your new to the guitar, I wouldn't recommend this one. Adding the skull knobs just make it look like Satan himself would play this thing. I wouldn't change anything about this guitar. Schecter makes good quality guitars. If you ever have a chance to get this guitar, or any of their other fine products, do so.

Features : 9
this is a 2002 schecter devil tribal. 24 jumbo frets, 3 way selector switch, two volume and one tone pot, two passive duncan designed hb-103s, 25 1/2" solid set maple neck with rosewood fretboard with some kickass inlays, black finish, not sure about poly or nitro, sg type body, but more curvy and rounder, six saddle set bridge, non locking grover tuners. i wish it had two tone pots, but i can make do with some fast hands when i need to

Sound : 10
this guitar is incredibly versatile. i can imagine that this would be the perfect metal or heavy rock guitar, ive done some of that, but i mainly do hard rock, like ac/dc and guns n roses. this can nail angus' 61 sg, malcolms gretsch, or slashs les paul classic. i play this through a crate glx212, great amp. not noisy at all unless youre sitting in front of a computer under some flourescent lights, but even then its not so bad. the pu's are covered and quiet, and pretty hot for passive. i looked on the duncan website and they are ceramic, awesome. the bridge pu is nice and trebley, neck is smooth and full, and the middle setting is a nice combination of the two.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
came set up pretty well, i did a small intonation adjustment and lowered the action, but thats just my taste, i wanted a snappier feel. the frets are nice, the neck is fast, not to thin or too thick, the back is not sticky at all, fretboard is excellent. everything is great on this guitar except one thing, the tone pot is scratchy, i can make do with it for now, but i may change it out and get a high quality one. bummer. the rest of the guitar is great though.

Reliability/Durability : 10
this thing feels like it'll kill someone and still be able to keep on playing. the headstock can inflict some major damage with those two points...other than the tone pot everything is rock solid. this will last me a long time.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them. probably wont need to

Overall Rating : 10
ive been playing for a good few years, this is my main guitar. i dont really need anything else its so versatile. through my glx i can get any tone i want. i love everything about it, except the tone pot. ugh. schecter has been rock solid in every guitar ive tried, looks like its just my luck. oh well. whos so stupid that theyd lose a guitar. first off, its big enough that you shouldnt lose it. second, its an expensive piece of work. if it was stolen, id get this again or an sg or a les paul, just for something different. but this guitar...its kickass. go for it, you wont be disappointed. the 2003 version is different though, with an arched top, tune o matic tailpiece, string through body, and uncovered pu's

I won't tell you all the features, cuz those other guys already did. I will tell you that I was very impressed with them. I was especially happy because I'd been looking hard for a 24-fret guitar that suited my needs, and this was it.

Sound : 10
Just by looking at it, it screams "use me for heavy metal!" (which it is PERFECT for, sounds great) but I was pleasantly surprised that it was versatile enough to sound just great when i set it up for several other modes, including jazz and some more exotic sounds, boosting the Mids, chorus, and to a lesser degree flange. I used two different Crate amps which I also found had much to do with its adaptability, but no less this is a great sounding guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
All I can say is "INLAYS INLAYS INLAYS!" They are really cool, I love the tribal design. The rest of the guitar looks great too, although I would have preferred to do without the devil's horns on the top of the headstock, but that's just me, and it still looks cool.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Quite solid, but not overwhelmingly heavy (in weight, not sound), which was nice. Great for on-the-road or just jamming out.

Ive been playing for a few years with my band (and a few years befoe that), and we play a wide range of styles, which is great because it's so versatile and adaptable. I also own a Carvin D400, a Fender Strat (which I don't use very much at all), and a Gibson SG. I use Marshall, Crate, Carvin, and Mesa/Boogie amps. Like I said, The one thing I would change is the devil horns on the headstock, but I don't mind them that much. Although this is perfect for metal and harder rock genres, I think you should check it out no matter what style you're playing anything at all.

Its a nice guitar, the features are what the other two people put them down as. The pickups are nice, they don't feed bad at all. The inlays are really cool. I wouldn't suggest it for a beginning guitarist however, because you might get lost on the fretboard.

Sound : 10
I like heavy stuff(Pantera, Testament, etc), and it sounds really good for it. I was happy with the clean sound too, I wouldn't play jazz with it or anything, but its good enough. I have a Fender stack and I use a Zoom 505 for effects because Fender distortion really doesn't cut it. The guitar doesn't feed back at any volume, it has really good sustain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I didn't buy it directly from the company, so I can't really answer for how well Schecter set it up, but it was set up fine when I received it. It seems pretty solid.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I think this guitar would look really nice playing live. The inlays really set it apart from other guitars. I'd never gig without a backup, just in case, but I would definitely play with confidence.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to deal with Schecter.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 4 years, I also own a Strat and an Ibanez. Although the strat has it beat for clean sounds, I still like the clean sound of this guitar and I think its a little bit more versatile than the strat. The distortion sounds much better than the Ibanez, and the clean does also. I would replace it if it were stolen, I think Schecter put a lot of quality things into it that are normally on much higher priced guitar(such as set neck, string thru body, and the nice inlays). Its a quality guitar.

This a Korean made guitar(although you can't tell by how awsome it is),2 Duncan designed covered pickups, Set neck(that looks exactly like a neck through), awsome tribal inlays, grover tuners, mahogany all black body, full body binding, 2 vol/1 tone, non-trem bridge, and has 24 frets.

Sound : 10
I play mostly sevendust, godsmack, metallica, and pantera. I use a peavey studio 112 with an EQ pedal and it sounds awsome(the secret is in the EQ, even crappy amps can sound like full tube stacks with one....not that peavey distortion isn't cool anyway). NOISE FREE! Also excellent for clean music like fuel, oasis, blink 182, that type stuff! Awsome low end with dist. but very clean too!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Very nicely set up by Guitar Asylum(hauppegue,NY). Pefect in every construction way. Buzzless action that is very playable!

Reliability/Durability : 10
All i can say is that this guitar is a tank. Very good for any occasion(Shows, tours, ext). Extremely durable!

Never had to deal with the company, probably never will!
