Made in 2002 or 2003 in Korea. Mahogany body with set maple neck. Tone-Pros tune-o-matic bridge w/ strings running through body. Seymour Duncan JB in Bridge position, duncan designed humbucker in Neck position. Funky 4 under 2 over headstock with Grover keys. metallic matt black finish. One Volume and one tone control. I would rather have had a gibson 2 and 2 control setup. Gibson style three way pickup selector switch. Very light without seeming flimsy.

This is a nice sounding guitar, sort of similar to an SG. The Duncan JB sounds much better that the Duncan designed pickup in the neck, so I'll probably swap the neck pickup out. Its probably safe to say that this guitar is best for people who live in SG/Les Paul country. Good Sounds for hard rock and metal. The 1 tone and 1 volume control does limited the variety of sounds to some degree, but what it does it does well. I don't know why but the acoustic projection of this guitar is amazing. I compared it to an epiphone dot, and the ultra produced a louder and more pleasing tone when unplugged. This can compete with the big boys.

Set up by schecter in the USA. Action is great and the ultra stays in tune very well. A few minor finsh flaws but yesterday at the music store I was looking at Gibsons and Fenders in the $600 to $1500 range and the fit and finsh on the ultra is as good or better than anything I saw. My only complaint would be that the nut doesn't seem to be exactly the right width for the neck (a little short) which is surprising given the overall quailty of the guitar. Doesn't affect playability though.

This guitar looks very solid. The hardware is excellent quality (Tone-pros, Grovers). I would use this live without modification, which is unusual for a low cost guitar. This is Mike Tempesta of Powerman 5000's signature model and apparently he uses the production model (not a custom shop version) live and in the studio. I've also seen pictures of Robert Smith from the Cure playing one, so I guess its up to live playing. I would certainly depend on it - Although I would never gig without a backup, I wouldn't really expect any problems with this guitar.

Been playing since the '80s. I own guitars by Rickenbacker, BC Rich, DiPinto, Aria, Fender, Dearmond and amps by Vox, Rickenbacker, Traynor, and Earth. I've owned several gibson SGs and this guitar is a good alternative that you won't see everywhere you look. I would buy this again for the price I paid. You get good quality and a great sound for small money. I wish it had Gibson style controls, but for the price I paid I can always have it rewired.

2003 made in Korea i think, but dont let that stop you! this guitar looks kinda like a firebird but gothic, with a metallic black finish. but its ULTRA lite. its almost effortless. Mahogany body with set in maple neck (with rosewood fingerboard). two humbuckers. passives.*note* THIS HAS A REAL SEYMOUR IN THE BRIDGE, A JB. very unusual for a #550 guitar. slim neck, no inlay, just one logo on 12th fret. with a tune-o-matic bridge and string through body. this guitar comes with a custom fitted hardcase FREE!!!

i have this tuned D thru and drop C. raise the JB in teh bridge and you get some SICK metal tone. well... i use a HD147. so u know, most things sound heavy :P but really. lots of output. the muting from this sounds so smooth. some crackle from the Duncan Designed. the mahogany body and set neck give this guitar a real warm tone, with plenty of bite.

when i brought this it had a broken toggle switch from some punk kid playing it in store. so i mentioned it and the guy replaced it, changed strings, polished it and gave it a full setup. i cannot fault this finish, its perfect. no intonation. its amazing. for the price its like a #1000 guitar.

ive only had this a week or so but it seems very well built. i know "its korean". but it's quality really is amazing. i was considering some straplocks but these ar in solid. unlike the RG7321 i owned. but thats another story. i'd use this live without a second thought. i look after my gear and it serves me well. only an 8 because time will tell, after all. only had it a week. i cant see anything going wrong though

overall i cant really fault this. ive never seen this guitar before i brought it. and no other reviews. i cant stress how good this guitar really is. theres a pic on schecters website. its the powerman 5000 sig model. but thats not why i got it. its just. mmmmmm, ive owned an ESP viper-301, ibanez 7321, line 6 variax 700. and now this. this along with the viper is the best ive ever played. the Seymour in this and free hard case throw it right up front. why are you still sitting here? GO GET IT!!! i'd give this 20 if it'd let me :)
