My evaluation herein just to let others know there are more colors out there. Mine is also same hollow 335 type, solid medium brown (like Ibanez JSM100)with double cutaway, cream bindings including f-holes. I've owned it since about '85. It's fairly heavy though, like maybe 11 lbs. All gold hardware, looks pretty. Two pickups with 3-way selector. Mine has rectangular pearl inlays on the fingerboard. I got it about 1985. Doesn't balance well when seated but fine when standing.

Sound : 8
Good sounds all around. I play jazz, blues and use a Marshall. Very bright treble and full bass. Lower cutaway not deep enough to play much over 14th fret, like others.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I have action as low as I can get it and use lightest gauge strings available. Guitar is as fast as most anything out there for less than $2,000. Electronics have been reliable for 22 years.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Strap buttons solid, this axe is built like a tank. It will outlive me at 67.

I've been playing 52 years. I also own a Gitane gypsy jazz, a classical acoustic and a Yamaha 150 acoustic guitar. I have owned everything over the years, i.e. Gretsch Duo Jet, many Gibsons, a Guild or two, etc. The only guitar I liked any better was my Heritage H555 and Hofner Verythin Classic vintage, mainly due to accessibility to high end frets, and being lighter. For the money, there is nothing comparable in action, sound or looks.

I got my sebering gibson clone from under a work bench all it really needed was a little tlc and like everyone else has said it is a sweet little piece of kit and a pleasure to play .not too heavy on the shoulder or knee and lends itself beautifully to jazz work in particular.my copy 335 is glossy black with off white almost yellow trimming, chrome pickups tripleswitch and four contols and flys true and straight.the high frets are a small problem for shorter fingered players but all in all a delight.

Sound : 9
love it all round, use it with a fender valvejob, milk it through a rack system korg built .can give some vibro in the recording studio but can be dampened fairly easily, can sound mellow or bright.its your hands.makes all the variety that i ever use.like the truth of it

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
action great never seems to stray.fine setup.everything aok.minor ageing on chromedue to previous neglect

Reliability/Durability : 9

After a lot of years of playing, then not playing, my son bought me a Sebring 335 copy for Christmas about 4 or 5 yrs ago. This thing is sooooo sweet. The neck is like silk, fast and cozy. Great sounding Humbucking pickups(two). Good effective chrome tuners, two vol. and tone controls, and three way toggle. Now the really pretty part, its a cherry sunburst surrounded by a cream colored binding. A gourgeous wood grain shows through the sunburst. Almost every time I pick it up I say to my wife, "Did you see my most beautiful guitar my son bought for me?" Yes Dear, she replies. I'll tell you, I owned a brand new Gibson 335 back in around 1977, and it never played any better than this guitar. Great for jazz, blues, pretty much whatever. Thanks again Brian (my son).

Sound : 5
The sound is just great. Maybe the best combo is with an old Fender Bandmaster top with a i5" cab. Also great with my Dean Markley K 150
Only drawback as i"ve read in other reviews is the nest is set too far into the body and you can't reach the higher frets. Too bad

THIS IS A 335 SENT FROM HEAVEN
IT'S K0REAN MADE, BUT DONT LET THAT FOOL YOU, IT'S ONE SOLID GUITAR.
MADE SOMWHERE AROUND 83-87.(HARD TO TELL, I CANT FIND ANYTHING ON THE MAUFACTURER SO I CANT DO A SERIAL # TRACE.)
MINE IS GLOSS BLACK FINISH ON MAPLE BODY WITH A BOLT ON NECK(ALSO MAPLE I THINK)SHE'S GOT 22 MEDIUM FRETS WITH DOT INLAYS.
2 CHROME/NICKEL COVERED HUMBUCKING PICKUPS. 2 VOLUME,2 TONE KNOBS, 3-WAY SELECTOR SWITCH. ADJUSTABLE PICK GUARD, STOP-BAR TAILPIECE, TUNE-O-MATIC BRIDGE, AND SEMI-HOLLOW BODY, ARCHTOP DOUBLE CUTAWAY DESIGN.
IN SHORT- THIS THING LOOKS JUST LIKE BB KINGS "LUCILLE" RIGHT DOWN TO THE CREAM BODY AND NECK BINDING.ALL I WANT NOW IS A BIGSBY TREMOLO.
THE NECK IS THIN AND EXTREMELY EASY TO PLAY.(EASIER TAN MY GIBSON HONESTLY)

Sound : 9
THIS GUITAR-WHICH I LOVINGLY CALL "MY BITCH" BECAUSE WHEN I HOOPK UP A ZOOM EFFECTS PROCESSOR, KORG HYPER DISTORTION, AND DUNLOP WAH PEDALS, THERE IS NO SONG OR SOUND I CANT MAKE/PLAY. I USUALLY STICK TO ALTERNATIVE-ROCK-GRUNGE-AND A LITTLE METAL, WHICH THIS GUITAR EASILY COVERS WELL BUT IT ALSO COVERS CLASSICAL AND BLUES WONDERFULLY. I PLAY A LOT OF LEAD SO ONE DOWNSIDE IS THAT THE CUTAWAY IS'NT DEEP ENOUGH TO PLAY THE 18TH FRET AND UP BUT IT PLAYS SO WELL I'LL IMPROVISE. I'VE PLAYED FOR 11 YEARS, IVE PLAYED FENDER,GIBSON,EPIPHONE,GRETCH, AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHIN ELSE AND IN ALL HONESTY I WOULDNT TRADE "MY BITCH" FOR ANY OF THEM.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
THIS BABY IS OVER 15 YEARS OLD AND ITS ONLY FLAW IS A CHIP THAT WAS THERE WHEN I GOT IT AND IT HAS'NT SPREAD IN 7 YEARS. ITS' ACTION WAS SET LOW AND FAST-JUST HOW I LIKE IT. IN MY OPINION IT WAS SET UP BETTER THAN EITHER MOF MY GIBSONS. THE NECK WAS MATCHED TIGHTLY AND THE PICKUPS WERE ALMOST DEAD ON AND AFTER A SMALL ADJUSTMENT THEY WERE DEAD ON. THERE AREW STILL NO GRACKS OR WARPS IN THE WOOD, NO RUST ON THE PICKUPS,MACHINE TUNERS, TAILPIECE, OR BRIDGE. THE ONLY OTHER ADJUSTMENT I MADE TO SEAL THIS BABYS' PERFECTION WAS PUT AN EPIPHONE E-Z BENDER ON THE STOPBAR TAILPIECE, AND REPLACE THE PLASTIC TREM. NUT WITH A BONE ONE, AND OF COURSE INSTALL A PAIR OF SCHALLER STRAPLOCKS TO PROTECT MY WONDERFUL INVESTMENT

Reliability/Durability : 10
WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CUTE LITTLE GIRL MY UNCLE CAME DOWN FROM GASTONIA, NC. AND OPENED A CASE CONTAINING 2 SEBRING 335 MODEL BEAUTIFUL GUITARS; ONE CREAM W/CREAM PICKGUARD, AND CREAM BODY/NECK BINDING, AND ONE BLACK W/BLACK PICKGUARD AND CREAM BODY/NECK BINDING, AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO "CREAM" MY SHORTS. BUT I HAD NEVER HEARD OF SEBRING. NEVER THE LESS I WANTED THE BLACK ONE THAT LOOKED LIKE "LUCILLE" AND I BEGGED AND BEGGED UNTIL FINALLY HE RELUCTANTLY GAVE IT TO ME FOR 100.00 AND MY ARIA PRO II ELECTRIC. IT HAD NO CASE AND I PLAYED IT EVERY DAY, 6 HOURS A DAY, FOR 8 YEARS AT HOME AND ON GIGS AND THIS THING LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME AS WHEN I BOUGHT IT NO DENTS OR SCATCHES JUST THAT ONE SMALL CHIP THAT NEVER SPREAD. AND ALL THIS WITHOUT ME EVER BUYING A CASE. DUABILITY AND RELIABILITY ARE A 12 OOUT OF TEN!!! BRAVO

Customer Support : No Opinion
I NEVER COULD DO A SERIAL # TRACE OR SEE ABOUT ACCESSORIES OR BUYING ANOTHER(WHICH I WOULD HAPPILOY DO)BECAUSE I CANT FIND THE COMPANY, BUT ANYBODY THAT MAKES THIS KIND OF STAIGHT UP SOLID AXE PROBABLY SAID "WHO NEEDS CUSTOMER SUPPORT"

Overall Rating : 10
i'VE PLAYED FOR OVER 12 YEARS, AND HAVE VARIOUS OTHER GUITARS BUT IF I COULD BUY MORE GUITARS AND GET JUST ONE FOR MY UNBORN KID.. THIS WOULD BE MY CHOICE. BEAUTY,BRAINS, GUTS, AND DURABILITY/STAMINA.
I STRONGLY URGE ANYONE THAT SEES ONE OF THESE "DONT THINK TWICE--JUST BUY IT NO MATTER THE COST ITS WORTH IT. I'D HONESTLY PAY GIBSON PRICES FOR SEBRING GUITARS." AND I'D NEVER REGRET A THING!!!!!!!!!

I ordered mine back in 1988, just from the discription the guy at the store gave me. Semi-hollow, dual-cutaway, arched top and back, multi-bound body, neck, rosewood fingerboard, mother-of-pearl dot
markers. Two humbuckers, two tone, two volume, 3-way selector switch, stop tailpiece, and a chip board case. Mine's a transparent red, looks like a Gibson ES-335.(People have told me it looks better than a Gibson.) Its got a thin neck, med. frets.

Sound : 10
I've played it thru an old Gibson 'THOR' bass amp with a Boss 'DS-1' for a little over drive on leads. It gave a great bluesy rhythum guitar sound and clean melody. Now I use it with an A.R.T.'ATTACK' amp and a Digitech 'RP100'. I can cover just about any sound or style, from clean jazz to 'AC/DC', and country. There was some trouble with feed-back, but when I filled the body cavity, it quieted down alot. It also sounds good unpluged. It doesn't project like an acoustic, but it delivers a clean, even sound. The lows aren't muddy and the highs aren't tinny.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This guitar has been great since day one. The only grip I have is that the cutaways could have been deeper. Its hard to reach past the 14th fret.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've had this guitar for over ten years and it still looks good. There is some finnish checking from the wood expanding and contracting, going from a cold car to a warm gig. But everything else is solid. It was my only guitar for about four years and it never let me down. I've added a strat and an acoustic over the years. They spend most of the time in their cases.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never tried to use it.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing since the late 60's. I'm hooked on the sound and feel of this guitar. If it were lost or stolen, I would look high and low for another. I don't know if they still make them. I regret not buying one or two more as spares. It would have been worth it.

Korean made, 2 humbucking pickups (bridge & neck), 2 volume, 2 tone controls, 3-way pickup selector switch, not sure of the body or neck woods, arched top hollow-body (and I mean hollow, no tone block like in Gibson/ Epiphone/ Washburn), dual cutaway, black with cream binding, bolt-on neck, tune-o-matic style bridge, thin neck with rosewod fretboard (pretty fast neck for this style guitar), dot inlays.

Sound : 8
Great fat tone. I used this as my main guitar for 4 years. Worked great for everything I played (and I am a music schitzo) - punk, rockabilly, hard rock, blues, alternative (I'd even used it for some bizarre Thurston Moore-type tunings with great results), and some country stuff, too. My only complaint is with the resonation at high volumes - makes the guitar feedback like crazy (for the stuff I was doing at the time, though, it wasn't really a problem).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Like I said - great playability for a hollow-body instrument. My complaint again is with the lack of weight in the guitar and the feedback issue. The right cutaway (hord) could stant to be a bit deeper, too, for better access to upper frets.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've Used this guitar on several gigs without incident (other than feedback). I didn't own a backup at the time, and it never let me down. A solid instrument...well made.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Not really applicable...I've never been able to find anything on the manufacturer - no web addrress, no phone number, nada.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing guitar for some 15 years. Given the chance I would buy another one (I really like some of the other finishesthat I'd seen). All in all, I'm sorry to have gotten rid of it. I've played comparable models by Washburn, Yamaha, Ibanez, Samick, and withthe exception of the Gibson it was modeled after, still prefer my Sebring.

Made it the 90's. Black 335 copy w/ gold hardware. Could be wrong but it looks like a spruce body. Neck material unknown. 5ply binding headstock, neck, f-holes and body both sides. 2 hot generic humbucks. Stop tune-o-matic bridge. Dual tone and vol cntrls. 3 way sw. Unknown tuners that so far are sound. Amazingly fast neck.. very thin. Only thing missing is a set neck. This is a hollowbody.

Sound : 10
Very versatile guitar. Great jazz box. Play through a Dean Markley CD 60 tube amp. R&B, Funk, Rockabilly.. Rich full sound. Quite. Tried 10's but really seems to favor nines. Bass E' gets muddy with 10's. Couldn't ask for a better sound.. regardless of style with the exception of metal. Very full rich sound with 9's... Go figure.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Bought the guitar from the original owner. Seemed hardly played. Action need to be tweeked slightly. Lowered the bridge and raised the PU's. Overall finish compares to more costly makes. Black finish could have used a wet sanding and buffed. 5 ply binding is perfect top to bottom. 3way sw. needed to go. Replaced with a good silent Gibson. Nut is ok. Will probably replace with a bone nut someday. I just love this ax.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Seems well built. Finish still looks like new, including the gold hardware. Might replace the strap buttons if it was due for some heavy gigging. I would use it without a backup regardless.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't have a clue..

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing some 35 years. Owned many guitars.. strats, dearmonds,
hondo's, greco's and guilds. I would definately seek another if this one were stolen. This sounds as good as any Gibson or Gibson copy I've ever played... with better action.. Wish it had a setneck. Only because of the setneck stigma not because of any playability problems.
If you see one.. buy it. It's worth everypenny of $400.00.

Probably '80's model, Hollow-body, black w/f-holes, Made in Korea (stop snickering). 22 Frets, 2 Humbuckers, pickup selector, 2 Volume, 2 Tone controls, Maple body & maple bolt-on neck, standard Gibson-type bridge, crappy key tuners. Ya know, yer basic friggin' 335 copy.

Sound : 8
Sounds suprisingly good (considering its price) for my style. I love the melodious, tuneful, on-the-verge-of-feedbacking sustaining wail. (Think Trey Anastasio/Brian May/Billy Gibbons). Playing it through an early 70's Acoustic Head with 4X10 Cab w/Celestions. This axe produces harmonic feedback, decent sustain. Pinched harmonics sound fabulous. Guitar is very quiet when not playing; pops a bit when pickup selector is toggled, but nothing to kill yoursel over. Can get anything from Wes Montgomery clean to metal saturation with the help of effects. I use a Zoom GFX-707 which ain't the greatest, but does have some usable sounds with a bit of tweaking.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Set up was not bad, bought it from a mom & pop guitar store who adjusted the intonation. Action is great, not bad for a $200 guitar.
Finish is fine. No major flaws or scratches. In general easy to play, although upper fret access is somewhat limited due to the guitar body shape. No biggie . . .

Reliability/Durability : 6
Have yet to play it live. I'm sure it would be fine, but it is a hollow-body, so ya can't slam an amp on it or anything . . . Back-up? Does not compute . . . Backups are for wussies.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who knows?

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing bass & guitar for 14 years. Own lotsa stuff, not gonna get into it here. I'd buy it again for $200. I'm hoping to get an Ibanez Artstar or Hamer Echotone soon. I was always a Les Paul man, but now have fallen in luv with hollowbodies.

This is pretty much a basic 335, looks the same. Epiphone makes the same kinda thing, Gibson made the original 335. It's double cutaway, but NOT strat style. A couple f-holes, semi-hollow, seems like a jazz guitar but plays a lot of styles pretty well. 21 frets, but not cut away deep enough to use all of the frets. Two tone, two volume. Two humbuckers that are DAMN HOT. Three way selector. All the hardware is usually chrome on the Sebring 335 model, but every single piece of metal on this guitar was changed to gold for whatever reason before I bought it. Stop tailpiece bridge. Non-locking, no name tuners. Neck is nice and thin. I don't know a lot of details such as type of wood and the details of the electronics, because, well, I'll explain later.

Sound : 8
I play punk, alt, metal, and jazz. Good for punk, good for some alt but (all you cobain wannabes) not for Nirvana, but great for Creed (although not too great for drop-d tuning). The humbuckers are really crunchy, so it's good for metal rhythm parts, but (as mentioned before) it's physically impossible to use all of the frets, so forget playing leads. Ideal for jazz, singing sweet tone with decent sustain, and if you're desperate for blues, distort it a little and it sounds great, just don't point those humbuckers toward yer amp or prepare for feedback galore. Tasteful, nice feedback (not screaming annoying feedback) but feedback all the same. Really bassy sound (a little too bassy for some folks tastes). Use distortion effects and it's nice. Surprisingly, chorus has very little effect on the sound. Wah works well when you're playing jazz or Cream or Jimi (but I wouldn't suggest this guitar for Jimi). Use it with a big 212 Fender amp clean and it's nice. Use it with a Fender frontman 15 and it's still nice. Good guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Action as high as Pamela and Tommy on a boat when I got it, but toss a little cash into a setup, and it's good. Pickups still really hot, not buzzing but a lot of feedback. Frets well filed, finish flawless, hardware starts oxidizing fast, so keep that polish cloth around. Pickup selector silent, not noisy like on my Strat. Controls just far enough away to keep from getting hit by my hands when I'm muting.

Reliability/Durability : 7
You can use it live no problem. Haven't founded any hardware flaws yet. Finish seems kind of thin, but I haven't worn through it yet so it's pretty good. Strap buttons are pretty secure, but I usually play it sitting down for jazz or solo practice so I don't know if they are real durable. I would depend on it, but it's not as durable as a Strat or Les Paul. It's semi hollow, so don't drop it and don't drop anything on it or I have a feeling it will break easy.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Well here's the interesting story. This guitar lists $799. I went to a music store blowout sale and they offered $269. It was a floor model, and they had lost ALL THE WARRANTEE INFO, ALL OF THE MANUALS, ALL OF THE PACKAGING, AND EVERYTHING SEBRING HAD INCLUDED WITH THE GUITAR. So, since it was one of the three or four guitars the store still had because most of it had been sold, they offered it for $219. I leaped at that deal, no questions asked, since that's like 75% off list. Plays like a dream, but since I don't know how to get in touch with Sebring, I guess I can't give them a Customer Support rating.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing a couple years and had gotten tired of my Strat and its sickening tone, I needed a deal and I needed humbuckers and this fit the bill. I wouldn't pay more than I did considering the circumstances at the time (see Customer Support). If it were stolen I would be really pissed cause then I'd have to go back to playing my Strat and I haven't hit the lottery so I'm not gonna have cash to buy a new one. I was told that if I put real Gibson pickups on it, the sucker would sound just like a real 335, so now I'm saving $$$ again. I love the feedback it gives, and I hate the feedback it gives. When I need to get some cool sounds when I'm playing alt-rock leads with it, I can really use that feedback. However, when I finish playing a jazz song, and I take my hand off the strings and it starts feeding back, I want to smash it. I don't like not being able to use all the frets, but then... you have to give a little to get a little. Well, I love the crunchy humbuckers cause they don't twang like the single coils. Great value. I'd pay $300 for it if it had all the documentation.
