Made between '70 - '74, Made In Japan. 22 fret rosewood fingerboard
with typical SG control set up. It has two faux humbuckers - single coils in chrome covers,no make or model numbers, passive electronics.
The body is made from plywood with a nice nitro finish. The bridge is a tune - o - matic style, with a Bigsby style vibrato. The tuners were an inexpensive tulip style replaced with fine Gibson replicas.
The frets are rather thin but comfortable.

This guitar suits a bluesy, hard rock style perfectly. The original pickups were extremely noisy. After replacing the pickups with generic Agile humbuckers, the guitar sounded great. I have always liked SG style guitars and this one feels very comfortable. The only dislikes were the cheesy fake humbuckers. That problem has been remedied.

There was no factory setup seeing that this guitar was bought as a project guitar. It was hanging on the wall of a now defunct music store with the Bigsby type vibrato spring missing, no Tune-O-Matic bridge, and no strings. Forty bucks as is. The finish had taken it's share of dings and clunks (reliced by today's standards!)This guitar was not poorly made for an early example of a MIJ instrument. Giving her kudos for a fine project carcass.

Yeah, this guitar will withstand a good beating. The hardware and electronics work well after finding parts that would fit without major
modifications. Again, the finish had taken some hits, and it still looks cool!Stap buttons have been replaced with Schaller strap locks
as a standard in my collection. She is dependable as a suitable backup, and a great slide guitar. Since I play with at least 3 or 4
guitars at a gig, it would be hard to say If I would use ANY guitar without a backup!
