Nice Looking Guitar - Excellent Tuners...Really keep guitar in tune well, even after hours of play.

Sound : 10
This little Korean made Martin really sounds awesome; maybe even a touch better than my D-16.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Quality is what you would expect from a Martin, even though made in Korea.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This was the first new acoustic I bought back in 93; the finish has held up well, and aged to a bit darker shade, and I swear it sounds even sweeter with age. For a guitar that I paid $135 for nearly 15 years ago, it has held up awesome.

Been playing about 20 years - I got a Martin D-16 a few years ago, and I still like the Sigma just as well or better...Unfortunately Martin has discontinued their Korean line, so if it were stolen, I would certainly look for a nice used one. These can still be found online for less than $200 - so if you are looking for a solid acoustic that wont break the bank, yet sounds good enough, and is durable enough to play gigs.

This dreadnaught has a Mahogany body with a laminated finish and a Solid Spruce top and came with an Ebony fretboard, and Chrome Tuners. The neck is extremely playable(kind of fat with reasonably large frets). This guitar didn't come with any sort of pickup but I had it fitted with a Fishman Acoustic Natural I and it still sounds great. This is a premo guitar for a beginner or intermediate player, or someone looking to play the Coffee House scene.

Sound : 9
This guitar sounds better than many Martins I have played, the best tone possible for the price. Bright highs, sweet lows. Slight buzz on the low E when you play bar chords that can be easily fixed by adjusting the neck.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
If you like your action as low as possible without buzzing like me this is the guitar for you. I don't really like the laminated finish but that's only cosmetic.

Reliability/Durability : 7
This Guitar is solid, its only a two hundred dollar guitar so I'm pretty rough on and I not only would but have played it at paying gigs without a backup without any fear of it failing me. I just recently put a LARGE dent in it and the sound quality was not effected in the slightest.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had any problems that needed to be taken up with them so I couldn't say.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing for upwards of four years if this guitar were stolen I would definitely spring for a high end but I still would highly recommended this Guitar for any beginner or intermediate player or any one else who is looking for a guitar with a high end sound without having to worry about damaging a $1000+ guitar.

I bought this guitar from Zagerguitar.com as a Christmas present for my teenage daughter. She was playing an Ibanez acoustic electric before this one came. I ordered the Martin from Zagerguitar and the look on my daughter's face when she opened it was priceless. She hasn't stopped playing it since Christmas. She says it is so easy to play and her fingers don't hurt after playing for hours.

It has a beautiful tone and was in tune and in pefect shape when it arrived. Denny Zager modifies the guitar for EZ Play (their website explains), and boy can my daughter tell the difference! She can't get over how sweet it is. She keeps telling me she wished I played so that I could appreciate just how awesome it is.

Denny Zager, Jr. has responded the same day with each e-mail I've sent him. It almost feels like I walked in a family-owned store to purchase the guitar rather than having ordered it online. It shipped the next day and I received it in perfect condition within 2 days.

Even though I don't play myself, it was well worth my hard-earned money to see such sweet satisfaction on my daughter's face and hear that beautiful sound coming out of that guitar.

I'm a proud mama.

Nice sound. Bright highs, solid lows.
Seems to be some buzzing near the bridge.
Stays in tune pretty well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Moderate action. Not too low.
Had to adjust neck to remove buzzing on 6th string.
Nice finish. Black looks good. No flaws.
Very playable. Good for flatpicking and finger picking.
Barre chords have to be hit just right to prevent buzzing.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Good beginner guitar.
Bridge cracked very quickly.
Otherwise finish very good.

Given a 9 for a beginner guitar.

Acoustic Dreadnought with Solid top.
Natural finish.
Black pick guard.
Chrome Tuning pegs.

Sound : 8
Learned to play on it and it is sweet. I'm only now starting to yearn for something better.
Great for picking and open chords. Bar chords more deifficult and buzz unless you hit it perfectly.
The low E buzzes.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action is great for a newer player.

Bridge is cracked. Glue is showing.

Also play a 1990 Les Paul Studio through a Fender Blues Jr.

If I lost the Sigma, I'd shell out for a high-end (probably a Taylor).

A wonderful beginner guitar and I still love playing it every day.

Hey I've been playing this guitar for 5 years, it's the one I started out on, it's a pretty standard beginner acoustic guitar. As for features I would say it's pretty average.

Sound : 9
I love the tone of this guitar. It has sounded great since I first got it and it still sounds great. The sound is rich and for its class of guitar its outstanding. The only problem is after being used for a long time I have had problems with vibrations on the lowest 2 strings against higher frets for low notes. It's hardly noticable and not as bad as some cases I've seen.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion

Reliability/Durability : 3
As much as I love this guitar, I can't be too satisfied with its durability. The bridge is cracked and has been for over a year now. It still plays fine, and everything else is excellent, and I really don't think it will fall apart anytime soon. I don't know how it cracked either.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I didn't ever try to repair it.

It's time for me to get a new guitar anyway, I am planning on giving this guitar to my little brother so he can learn to play also. I beleive this guitar is great for starting out, and it sounds excellent for acoustic songs that have a more classical feel.

I purchased this guitar right off the rack, it only came with a few free picks. It Has the black finish witch looks classy. There are no visual blemishes.

Sound : 7
I like this guitar because it produces more of a low end sound and sounds fuller compared to a washburn I looked at. The only problem is the 6 string likes to rattle a little.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
The guitar was set up pretty good at the factory but after about 10 hours of use, it could use a new set of strings.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I think the guitar would be reliable enough. It seems to hold a tune throughout a lot of punishment. The finish appears thick but not dripping off.

I have just started playing. I think I got a good deal on this guitar because I got a case and a digital tuner with it. I compared it with a washburn D10 but I decided on the sigma due to it being $50 less. I wish it was a cutaway, but hey I guess I can't be too picky for $220

Acoustic Dreadnought with Solid top.
Natural finish.
Black scratch plate.
Chrome Tuning pegs.
No accessories included.

Sound : 7
Really full, mellow sound from a fairly cheap guitar.
Extrememly mellow bass notes but with a noticeable step to a tinnier
'B' string.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action is good (as far as I'm concerned). Not too high (like the
Yamaha 402) but noticeably more difficult to use a full barre chord
high up the neck.
No marks and blemishes at all on the body.
After playing every day for about a year the staining on the fretboard
is beginning to lose its stain (on common finger placements).

Reliability/Durability : 6
Seems robust enough - I can't see it breaking unless given a mighty
whack!

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
I looked around a lot at #100 to #400 acoustics and found the Sigma DM1 equally good as the Yamaha APX4.
It looks good, it sounds great.
