Made 1991/2 in Korea, model number hard to identify, basic 12string 14free frets dreadnought with no-name tuners, rosewood fretboard, laminated mahogany body, and obviously solid spruce top, came with undersaddle piezo pickup and 3-band eq preamp plus a noname, but nice HSC. That, compared to the price makes a 10 in features, right?

I was looking for a 12string I could also blues/folk fingerpick for prolonged hours without ruining my hands: Low action, well-balanced sound, good sustain, and all that on a budget, please! The Sigma turned out to deliver all this and then some. While not bein outstanding in any category, it produces a nice, rich and balanced sound, whether strummed or picked. It does not have the complexity and projection of my vintage and extremely tough-to-play Martin 12-18, but its megabang for minibucks, thank you!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Cant tell about factory setup, the thing was 14 years old when I bought it, but what stuns me is the finish: Either the guy who sold it hardly ever played it (not likely!), or the Koreans have built a tank. Whatever the reason, the Sigma looks almost new and shows a beautifully gloss on the lacquer and even the machines. Top is nice woodgrain, too. Nicer actually than my recently acquired Martin D-16GT... - everythig else is cool, too. Frets look played, but not worn down, there is a little wear on the fingerboard in the cowboy fret zone, but thats only visible, not feelable. Cool all the way.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Well, I dont know in what kind of environment this instrument spent its first 14 years, but judging from the state it is in, it will outlive me by decades. Would gig it any time, if I still would gig, but wouldn't take a 12string on the stage without a backup. Its not the guitar that breaks, its the strings...

Never dealt with those guys, and likely never will. Sorry.

Player for 31 years now, never fully as a profession, and recently exclusively as a hobby. Got a nice little collection, with, among others, a Breedlove, two Martins and a Lang. Can compare this 12string to my 12-18, see above, and to a vintage Ibanez 12string Hummingbird copy that died of bridge belly disease a couple years ago. The Sigma is runner-up in tone and leads the pack when it comes to playability. If stolen I probably would have a very hard time getting this much value for my money again - curse you, thieves, if you steal my preciousssssss!

Great guitar made between 1979-85, has 20 frets looks like rosewood, solid spruce top, mahogony sides and neck. I managed to get this guitar a couple of years ago for #180 with a soft case and spare set of strings.

Sound : No Opinion
It is loud and full of guts when played with a hard plectrum. It is also a great guitar for picking.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Action was slightly high when first purchased, but I had it set up for #20

Reliability/Durability : 10
hardware is real hardwearing and the finish is built to last, I would use it without back up.

Customer Support : 10
The shop I bought it from is great and always give me discount.

Ive been playing since I was 6, I own a les Paul studio and an old squire, If it was stolen I would try and get another one or if I had the money would get a Gibson.

Made between 1994-1996 in Korea, who I must say,are getting much better at guitar production. There are 20 frets,14 playable. The guitar has a laminated spruce-top,with laminated mahogany sides and split back. The neck is mahogany with stained fret board. The finish is gloss. The hardware is silver. The neck measures 1 7/8's inches at the nut.

Sound : 7
I think this guitar is meant to be played softly, but it roars out the sound when played with a medium pick. When played softly with a fin pick it eminates all of it's 12 strings.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I got it from a pawn shop, the action was high and it needed strings. I sanded down the saddle, put new strings on it. I tuned it down a step so I could capo at the second fret, to keep the high tension off of the neck and it leaves a little light on the 6th fret when I hold down on the first and 12th fret. Hold high and low e if there's a little light the neck is right.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I'm going to play in church on Sunday and every Sunday after that, when I get a chance. It holds tune very nicly, and breaks in strings very fast. The strap button is plastic, it will work.

There is no real customer support on the internet. Thanks to other web sites like this one, that do offer tips, valuable information, and opinions on musical instruments, I am able to get a clearer picture of what I'm getting into.

I've been playing for a little over a year. Just long enough to make me dangerous. I am able to learn a couple of new chords a week. I recieved a $40.00 gig bag with the purchase. The guitar looked like it had gloss overspray all over it. This all wiped off with a polish and rag. I think it was sprite or 7-up. A really good nagotiation tool.
