My Sigma-Martin, customized by Zager guitars, 2006, is an acoustic-electric cut away guitar with solid spruce wood top, natural finish and wood mahogany sides and back. The pick-up is by Belcap, tuners by Grover.

Zager lowers the action by altering the nut and saddle. He also modifies the frets to get best action with no buzz. It came with Martin Darco strings, extra light gauge. The guiatr plays well without finger pain.

I also purchased the wooden Martin case with it with contoured interior.

This is a Martin acoustic electric guitar customized by Zager using his string science techniques.

I like the action and the playability of this guitar. It has great tonal quality with long resonance.

I'm using a Fendor Bullet Reserve amp and can adjust for the guitar's highs and lows for the right sound.

This Zager modified guitar has very low action and plays as advertised with low string buzz. I purchased one of the "discount" guitars because it does have a slight imperfection in the finish. The guitars was discounted because of this, but I had to look closley to find the flaw. It was a slight bum in the finsh on the neck of the guitar. Very imperceptible.

This Sigma is solid wood, unlike many I've seen advertised by others as including laminates on back or top.

Reliability/Durability : 10
The guitar is gorgeous and finish is very durable. My guitar playing friends have remarked the same as well.

While I only play for personal use, there is no reason why this guitar could not be used in gigs, succesfully.

In shipping a wire was stretched loose in the elctorinc pickup and I got no signal in the amp. Zager and I communicated via email and he concluded that he would need to have guiatr retruned for repalcement or ful refund, or I could have it fixed locally and he would reimburse. I chose the latter and it was fixed within one day for < $30. Dennis Zager, Jr. did not require a receipt and reimburssed me immediately (via my PayPal account)for more than the repair bill. Not only that, he sent two sets of strings and a free capo for my trouble.

I've been playing off an on for over 25 years. I have a Ventura dreadnought acoustic guitar that is about 20 years old. The Zager modified Martin convinced me to have the Ventura setup by my local shop and now it too plays very well.

This is my first electric-acoustic and I'm thrilled with it and the opportunity to learn its full capapbilities. This Sigma Martin by Zager provided a low cost introduction, yet the quality is comparable to my friend's new Taylor and another's Fendor at considerably lower price than what they had to pay..
