Cool purple sunburst w/ glitter, 6 inline tuners, aluminum nut, masonite, 2 lipstick pu's, stacked volume/tone controls, wood saddle, THICK white pickguard w/ oval cutout for neck pu-COOL! Fretboard looks to be rosewood, fretwork passable.

Believe it or not she's quiet, must be shielded well (never opened up to see). For me, this guitar is a one trick pony. It is AWESOME for slide work w/ the mids boosted al TS unit. I also use it w/ a LPB-2 for MORE of what's there (poor boy's Klon). This guitar is SO similar to a DC59 it's unreal. For me it's the alltime best for that burning, scorching, red hot, cutting blues tone that many slide players are buying RI Danos for and paying TOO much for originals for! Naturally a very bright sounding guitar w/ more twang than the DC, that's why I love it w/ the TS pedals, tone set to 0! I think you could make this guitar work for anything except jazz, and metal, can't afford the $20 jazz chords anyway! Anyway, great for what it is, the history, the vibe, the LOOK! Saw one of these on that movie The Things You Do???, and Melissa Etheridge was stroking one not long ago, might as well not, however. Neat old geetar!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Get one , tweak it to your specifications (or as close as possible) and play on. Most vintage instruments will require that you adjust some things. When I got mine I oiled the neck, polished the frets, and hardware, tweaked the action, and restrung her-same old thang!

Reliability/Durability : 8
It's been around since the 60s and works like she's supposed to-you tell me!

Been playing 25 years, the best at what she does SLIDE, and jangle!!!I'd try to find another if some scoundrel snuck off w/ her! MUCH MUCH bettter than the Dano RI's!!! Growls and howls better!!! I just wish they'd put a bit more time into these, a couple of design tweaks, and you couldn't afford this guitar IMO!
