I was told that it was made in the 40's.IT is an allMaple guitar w/maple neck and rosewood finger board. Double "F" holes arch top and back.Tortiose shell overlay on the head. It has a clear finish that were very badly re-done.Kluson tuning machines that work great. The origional pick guard and bridge have been replaced but I hope to find the real things someday.

When I first got it it sounded great for a plectrum, unfortunatly in the subsequent years the neck warped slightly(no truss rod) .I may try to steam it.

Once upon a time this was a nice little guitar. The workmanship seems to be very good.Wish there was a trussed neck.

If properly restored, this could be a favorite of mine. I am really impressed with the tuners. For the age of this guitar they are perfect. As for the finish, it looks like someone put it down with a broom, but that is easily corected.

I have been playing for 35+yrs and have several guitars,I really enjoyed this Silvertone untill the neck started goin' south on me. I wish that I could find some parts to fully restore it.If anybody out there has any info on this "Crest" or knows where I can get an origional bridge and pickguard gimme a shout.
