Ah, my Silvertone S11. It looks like any other Fender Stratocaster with just a different headstock. Beautiful black finish. I have no idea what type of bridge it is, nor tuners, so i cannot comment on that. Tuners aren't great, a day of playing(about 1-2 hours a day) will leave you tuning it before every use, which really sucks. The neck is fairly thin, gotta agree on that. Dotted marks on the neck which make it easy, my 7th fret came with a hole for the mark but the mark was not there. It made no difference for me. It included more than plenty of accessories, extra strings, couple of picks, gig bag, amp, tuner, cable, and of course guitar. I'm unsure what year it was made but it was made in Indonesia. It has 21 frets, 5 way selector switch, two tone knobs, and 1 volume switch. Pick-up configuration is SSS with Passive electronics. More features than a beginner could ask.

Sound : 6
I prefer to play some Blues and Classical Rock and rarely some metal. I play it on a fEnder Blues Junior, but it has some low action which causes constant free buzz. It has pretty dull sound, but hey it's cheap. It suits only quiet tones, unlike any LP. I dislike its inability to be versatile, but hey look at the price.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
It flew in horribly made, setup badly, bad action, picks were fine, and some minor flaws. In the center of the body, it had two air pockets. Everything else was fine.

Reliability/Durability : 8
It seems this guitar can last, everything is pretty "well-attached" unlike other guitars i've noticed. It doesn't seem to wear off with lots of playing. Strap buttons are decent, not perfect, but good enough. I can depend on this guitar and use it a gig without a backup.

Customer Support : 9
Never had any real problems, no warranty(i dont need it). However the company is great for its outstanding service.

Overall Rating : 6
I've been playing for less than a year, but this guitar is good for any beginner. To tell you the truth, I don't think you can find a better quality/price for any other beginner guitar other than this. I highly recommend it. What i really hate about it is it is poorly grounded. I had to attach a wire from the bridge to pinky to keep it from sligtly buzzing when plugged in. Worth a buy for a beginner.

Bought it second hand from a couple of frustrated parents who were hoping that their son would be the next Eric Clapton (but the kid was a jock). They said they bought it new in 2000.
Strat body, 21 Frets, Rosewood Neck, 3 Single Coil Pick-up's
Controls: Volume, 2x tone, 5-way selector switch:
Sealed Metal Tuners & Tremolo Bar.
Finish: Black

It's a bit lighter in weight but a very decent copy of a Stratocaster with the same features for quite a bit less money. This axe is a no brainer

Sound : 9
I was surprised and really very impressed. I didn't really expect to hear what I heard out of this thing. A bit noisy, especially when you crank up the gain on the amp (the shielding really isn't that great), but a very Stratlike sound and in my opinion blows away any Squire or lower end Strat. I once owned an American Series Stratocaster that I can compare this Silvertone to. The guitar offers all the different variations of those classic strat sounds you can come up with. Great for Blues & Rock and even those smooth mellow jazz sounds. If you play around with your EQ and add a little reverb you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference in the sound between this and a real Fender. And if you play it through a tube amp, it'll blow you away. All things considered, other than it being a little noisy originally (and I had that taken care of right away for just a few bucks), I love this guitar. It was a fantastic find.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Adjustable neck allows you to set the action any way you like. Intonation is really good, frets are level and consistant, stays in tune and just feels really good. The finish on this thing is mint. Maybe it's because the kid didn't practice or play it much, but there are virtually no scratches and the finish is smooth with a lot of depth. I mean it's really black black.

Reliability/Durability : 9
So far, no problems. Then again, I don't really abuse my guitars but I do play pretty hard at times (especially when I'm pissed off at my wife)and like I said earlier, it stays in tune really well. After five years or so the finish still looks like new and I suspect it'll hold up. I've been playing it for about 6 months now with no issues.

Never had to deal with the company.

Been playing guitar for 30 years (also play keyboard and bass). This is the least expensive guitar I've ever owned. Also own a Gibson SG Custom, a Schecter C-1 Custom Diamond series, and an Ovation 1990 Collector Series. I take real good care of all my guitars (keep em clean, wipe them down after a gig, keep the contacts and the switches clean, etc.) and I think that this one should hold up well also. If it doesn't, I'll let you know.

Features : 7
Year: Recent Indonesian Make
Frets: 21
Contrustion: Laminated top
Controls: Volume, 2x tone, 5-way selector
Pickups: 3 Single Coil
Finish: Cobalt
Body: Strat
Tuners: Sealed Metal
Neck: Rosewood
Included: Gig bag, strap, cable, amp, tools, strings, picks...

Great package from silvertone.. The guitar was actually supprisingly good quality and ready to play out of the box.. Although a simple setup would make it even sweeter. The guitar definatly has a lot of hum, nothing a good sheilding wont fix. The amp is decent, sounds great loud, but loses it at low volumes and the overdrive is ok for a Solidstate amp. Most of the accesories are garbage, minus the tuner which works very well. The bag and strap are junk, picks are nice is you like heavys, and the cable should be replaced immediatly.

Sound : 8
The S11 is very versatile..I like alternative, grunge, rock, metal, punk...
The guitar is very noisy when any 1 of the single couls are selected.. having a combo selection does quiet the beast. Most likely due to poor shielding
Warm tones from the neck and mid pickups and a semi-bright punch from the bridge.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar setup from what I can tell is great, action could be a little lower. And like I said the pickups need shielding. I would like to commend Silvertone on using high quiality pots all around the guitar and amp.. the guitar is extremely well constructed.. I love the headstock

Reliability/Durability : 8
The guitar seems very reliable and even stays in tune. The finish looks great and is well done. A little tlc and this guitar will last a lifetime.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I havent had to deal with customer support but It looks like I wont have to.

Overall Rating : 9
My ratings where based on a cost to playability ratio. This guitar is an extremely great deal and probably one of the best starter packs I've ever seen. It would of got higher ratings if it was shielded properly and the accesories where of better quality, but silvertone delievers where it counts. As far as shielding, any tech will do it for around 30$ and the accesories cost me under 20$ to replace with high quality picks strap and cord..
