It was made in 2004 in Japan. It has 21 frets. 1 volume, 2 tone, 5 way selector. Pickup configuration... Original:3 Single coil, My configuration 1 Humbucker with 2 Single coils.Passive electronics.Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, I wish I knew what the body is. Black satin finish.Strat style body.Strat style bridge.Tuners are simple die-cast. Thin C-shaped neck with 25.5 inch scale.
Sound

Sounds exactly like any good strat. It had single coils when I got it, but I cut a bigger holein the pickguard for a humbucker. Amazing punk rock tone, I love it I have spent hours pinning against my SG and other Stratocaster but I just like this one so much better. I play it through a Fender sidekick 10 amp and I get a grungy punk sound. It obviously fits my music style.I use 9-42 gauge strings.
It was good when I got, It's low-action. Everything was routed well.No problems what so ever. It's extremely comfortable to play.

This guitar will withstand whatever you do for a lifetime, it's very reliable.THe strap buttons are really wide at the top so it's extremely ahrd to get your strp yo come off. I know that I can depend on this guitar.

-Silvertone SS-11 Stratocaster copy
-Epiphone SG-310
-Indiana Stratocaster Copy
-Charvel/Jackson Strat copy
-First Act Me-537
-Fender Sidekick 10 Amp
-Digitech Rp-50 Pedal

-Random cords
-Excel straps
It's a strat copy, they're a dime a dozen but they are priceless at the same time. Perfect for any music and any musician. If this was stolen, they would be dead. I love everything about it, sounds better than all of the guitars listed above. You've got to have it!!!

I live in Costa Rica and bought the Silvertone SS-11 guitar through Amazon. It came with the Silvertone Amp that by the way sounds pretty good. Solid top, 21 frets, 2 tone and 1 volume control made of plastic, 5 way pick-up selector switch S/S/S/passive pickup setup, 3 single coil pick ups, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and the color is tobacco sunburst. It looks like Strat and sounds like a Strat. I have no idea where it was made but most likely in Indonesia. The package included the strap, cable(lasted 5 days), the amp, extra set of strings, a digital tuner, Gig bag and some guitar picks. The guitar is solid, the paint is good I purchased it like 3 years ago and still it looks like new.
Sound
:10
For the price I'll say it is excellent. I love music in general Metal, Jazz, Country etc. And I like to play all these types of music depending on the mood you know... The guitar adapts very good to almost any kind of music I want to play. It sounds very similar to a Fender Stratocaster specially if you combine it with a multi-effect box. I use it with a Digitech 250 (another good cheap device), and the sound I obtain is great.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:8
Considering the guitar traveled all the way from USA to Central America, and usually you cannot expect a good handling by the people in the airports and or customs, the guitar arrived in perfect shape. The package was great, I was able to unwrap it tune it and play it out of the box. I have not done anything else to it besides changing strings and clean it since I purchase it. I do have to say that even thought I really take care of the guitar it gets rust very easily specially on the tremolo.
Reliability/Durability
:10
I have not played live, but I use at home like if I'm playing in a concert. It is a ROCK, very solid and reliable. I would definitely use it in a gig without backup.

Never has need Customer Support and I think that it would be hard to receive support since I'm in Costa Rica. But it has a life time warranty that gives me some comfort.

If you are a beginner this is the guitar for you. It sounds great, it looks great, it feels great and best of all is that the price is fabulous. This guitar combined with a Digitech 250 is all you need to start rocking around, both of this things wont cost you more that $500. If my guitar were stolen part of me will die instantly. I'll for sure buy another one.

Finish is transparent black with white pick guard, strat style body and tremelo bridge, non-locking tuners, thin one piece neck, 21 medium frets, comes with cord (buy an extra one though), ar for tremelo, and instructions for adjusting the neck. One volume and two tone knobs, 5-way selector switch, S/S/S/passive pickup setup, body is solid and neck is single piece (maple?) with rosewood fret board.
Sound

I've played bass for 10+ years and I've ownes a couple Fenders in the past, and I realy can't tell the difference between a Mexi Strat and this Silvertone. I play anything from Metal to Blues to funk and this guitar seems to cover them all very well. Like any Strat pickup arangement, they hum when switch is set to single coil, but the bridge and middle together gets a bright sound, especialy used with a Danelectro flanger. The strings it came with were nines, and would'nt stay in tune. D'Addario tens work way better on this guitar.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:7
I bought it brand new and had to adjust the neck and bridge to get rid of the fret buzz. WAS NOT set up at the factory at all (four year old Indonesian kids don't know how to I guess). It is prety well intonated now. Low D string tuner is a little sticky. Neck and body is very well aligned, and there's no flaws on the factory black paint. Using the tremelo brings it out of tune pretty quick, just like a standard Fender trem. All hardwear overall is very good quality.
Reliability/Durability
:6
As I said befor, hardwear and finish seems to be very good quality, and solid strap buttons. Overall I'd use this guitar as a backup on stage or as a practice guitar at home.

I bought it a flea market (with silvertone amp), so I'm not sure of the year. I think it's an older one as the headstock says Silvertone by Samick and is not painted to match the body. Solid body, not plywood. Rosewood fretboard, vintage fender styled tremalo, decent enough metal tuners. It's a pretty decent copy of a Stratocastor, the body seems a little lighter than a fender though (maybe thinner, not sure).
Sound
:8
I like it. I play pretty much nothing but blues though. It sounds good through all my amps (even my pignose). Chords are a little "muddy" though, but most lead stuff (blues) played through a little reverb sounds really "Strat" like. (and I've played Real Strats many times and owned a Real Fender Telecaster for many years). With the right EQ and amps you would be hard pressed to tell any diff between the sound of this stock sivertone cheapo and a Fender Strat. Not a great guitar for pounding out power chords, but nice clean blues and Jazz make this come to life. I useally play this one through a Digitech multi-effect set to noise gate and a little reverb, helps out a lot. The tone knobs and five position swith work great in combo with the digitech and amp settings in getting good tone. But, believe me, most good tone comes from the players hands. If you can play, you can make a cheapo guitar sound great, or a two thousand dollar guitar sound like crap.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:7
Got it used, so don't know how it was set up originally, and don't care. It's adjustable just like any strat copy. The neck is good, the frets are level, the intonation (after a little adjustment) is spot on. It stays in tune, though I don't dive bomb the tremalo, as I prefer to use the bar sparingly when I play. The finish is actually on par with a made in Mexico Fender Strat or at least a Squire Standard strat (if not slightly better)
Reliability/Durability
:7
So far, never had a problem with it. I think it will last me for years, as I take care of my guitars. The strap buttons seem solid, though I'm an old blues guy and don't flail around a lot. I can depend on it. Just keep the contacts on the jack and switch clean and it will last a long time. Wipe it down after playing, if the switch or jack or pots go, replace them. Did that on my Tele, did it on a Les Paul. Would I gig without a backup? Sure, why not.

Best 60 bucks I ever spent. My main guitar these days is a Gibson Melody Maker ('58 reissue). I've been playing for over 26 years. I play a lot of acoustic, resonator and even some banjo. I currently own four electrics and have owned and played over the years to many guitars to remember. Honestly, for the price (I think you can get these new for under 180 bucks) you would be hard pressed to find a better strat copy. This thing is really, really close to a vintage pre-cbs strat. The pup might be a little noisy to some, but so is the real thing. The tremolo might seem to whack it out of tune, but have you ever tried a real vintage Fender trem? Same deal. If you are into metal or hard rock, you might not like this one, but if you like blues or 50's rock or are looking for a vintage sound you won't regret picking one of these up. They have character (at least mine does!)

My model was purchased fairly recently so is quite new.It has 21 frets, was made in Singapore, has two tone controls and one voloume,a 5 way pick-up selector switch(with 3 single coil pick ups).It has a Maple Neck(Bolt on) and Rosewood fingerboard and is dark blue.
Sound

For the price I paid,(compared to other makes),the sound is exceptional. It is suitable for all styles of music and I think is very versatile-a good all rounder.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The guitar was ready to play out the box,the strings were a bit high, but otherwise,it was fine. After the guitar was set-up to my personal preferences,it was fine and everything worked fine.Everything on the guitar was on firmly and I salute the little guy in Singapore who put my guitar together. The only problem is when using the pick-up selector,it makes a small noise but this is unimportant as it is so small and barely noticeable.Otherwise, this guitar has a very good finish and is of a high standard with respect to its price.
Reliability/Durability

All I can say is that this guitar has been dropped, hit and thrown by my brother(Yes!-thrown)and is still in one piece and has no significant marks or scratches. The neck is very strong and firm. The strap buttons are nicely shaped and I don't ever need to check my straps are still on because these are so good and even if the straps come off and your guitar crashes to the ground, the guitar is strong and at worst you will have a few marks(assuming it falls in a favourable way). This guitar is very reliable and I would/have used it and it is fine.It won't let you down.-No back-up required!

Left Handed Fender Strat copy, but a very good copy.
Not sure when or where it was made, bought it used in May 03,for $100. It was a student's guitar that dropped out. Didn't have any accessories other than the allen wrenches to adj. the neck and bridge tuners and the box it came in.
5 way selector tone switch, 3 pickups, 2 tone knobs, 1 volumn knob,
whammy bar that is so overloaded (springs) that it's unuseable, might be better if the springs were re-positioned.
Maple neck is very straight (better that I expected, no adj. req'd).
All fret's at proper height. Action was set too high for my taste, I really like the lowest action possible.
Tuners are just O.K. seems like I have to tune in every other week or so.
I really like being able to set each string height (action) separately.
Sound
:7
The 5 way tone switch gives a good range of sounds, from soft mellow to high brassy sound.
The tone control knobs do not seem make as much difference as the
5 way switch.
The pickup's sound like what they are, not cheap, but not like my friends real fender strat either. but for $100 bucks ?
Action, Fit, & Finish
:10
Like I said above I really didn't expect the action to go as low as it is (12 fret is only 3/32") and no fret buzz, my friends say their real fender's and les paul's are not any lower.
Finish: (Black) is beautiful and the Maple neck seems just right for this rig.

I only play for myself and friends, it's a solid body, and well made, I expect to pass it on to my grand kids.

I've been playing for 30 years off & on, never serious, just a hobby.
Other guitars owned, Epiphone Les Paul II, Fender DG10CE, Yamaha FG401L, flipped older Fender Strat (back in the 60's).
If stolen or lost I would probably upgrade to a Fender Std. (Mexico)
Love the low action, hate re-tuning it & the unusable whammy bar.
For a hobby guitar or beginner, I'd give it a 10.

I don't know when it was made, or where it's made. It has 21 frets, solid top. It has everything you need. Maple neck its great. The finish is top notch, I love it. It's a strat and I think one of the best I've had.

I'm not sure what year it was made, but it was made in a factory in Indonesia. It has 21 frets, and S/S/S configuration with two tone knobs and a master volume knob. Umm, the pickups are just the stock pickups, I'm pretty sure the electronics are passive. Woods, I'm not exactly sure. It's a strat body, but a little bit of a different pickguard, plastic tuners(seem to work fine though). It came with a nylon cover that zips, a cable that broke in a week, strings, video, picks, and an amp.
Sound
:8
Umm, I haven't been playing all that long, and have experienced very few guitars and amps, but I mainly play "rocky" music, like punk and metal. It seems to work fine, although I want to buy a better amp and better pickups. Well, the pickups..... way too noisy. I really don't expect much though and with better pickups, things wouldn't be so noisy. I hear this guitar suits blues players really well. I'm generally pretty happy with the sound, probably because I haven't really heard anything else.

Believe it or not... this guitar came to me playing and looking nice. All I had to do was tune it, and it was ready, I haven't made any adjustments since getting it, even if I knew how to, I wouldn't have.

I'm betting she'll stand live playing, since I play live in the living room all the time. I've dropped it a lot, it still works great. I think the strap buttons are nice, but my strap always migrates to the floor. I've bumped the headstock into stuff, and it never detuned or anything like that, there's not a scratch on it. If I had the honor of gigging, I wouldnt' have a backup,
1)I don't have a backup guitar
2)I'd forget to bring it anyways
3)this guitar could get shot at, and still play...that happens in the hood you know

I love this guitar. I will always cherish it no matter what other guitars I get later on in life. If I ever became famous, I'd even consider using it on stage, or in a music video or whatever. If somebody stole it, I'd cry, because this guitar is a chunk of my teen years, I'd be sad until somebody showed up with it, or any other guitar. Ok, this guitar is definitely not something a seasoned player would want. It's not for professionals. This guitar was made specifically for teenagers that want to learn, because you can afford to buy this guitar, and lose interest, or you can stick with it(like me) and realize that playing good will take time and patience. Bottom line: If you are a cheap skate, or you are just starting, please consider this guitar. I've heard some really good people playing through it, and they sounded pretty damn good.
