I play mainly punk rock (buckcherry, backyard babies etc) and this amp pulls this off in bucket loads!!!! this really does make your nuts shake.

The eq on this amp is very responsive, i only have the gain up halfway and this provides plenty of drive but also keeps all those notes distinguishable - pure tone!!!!

ive heard that the old sound city amps were quite crap but this new range is a different ball game.

i play a gibson melody maker re-issue with a p90 and a 1997 epiphone sg, these guitars sing through this amp, with the amp ont the clean channel you get a very warm lusturous tone, turn the clean channel volume all the way up but keep the master volume down and this amp breaks up, but in a very good way. fans of dave grohl type clean guitar sounds with that crispy sound will love this and blues guitarists will find all the tone they need.

this thing really does put out some volume, the other guitarist in my band plays with a marshall 100watt valvestate 1x12 combo and this is almost as loud but has 10 ten times the balls. his sounds like a was in a tin compared to this.

turn the gain all the way up and we enter the twilight zone, some serious crunching riffs souns awesome.

id say this amp is a good all rounder but is heavy to carry about,

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
this is one solid amp, and is damn heavy, but for only 40 watts is loud as ****!!!!

looks like a vintage amp and sounds like one too but without the noiances of old valve amps,

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
been gigged a few times and turns upto practice every week and tkaes plenty of knocks, lol

havent had it long enough to see if it will stand the true test of time, but playing a festival this summer so it should get thrown about a bit so that will be a good test

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with them yet

Overall Rating : No Opinion
for value for money this gets a ten, and for the sound i want it gets a ten,

may not be death metal for those of you who like deicide, slayer etc

dont feel i should rate it in this category as ive only had it 4 months but for me it scores a 10
