Was made in July 2009 in Indonesia, 22 frets, light basswood body thick "daphne blue" color varnish, 3 classic stratocaster potentiometers, S/S/S duncan designed pickups (pasive), medium maple fretboard, floating bridge with tremolo bar, squier engraved back metalplate, no accesories included.

I play mostly rock and roll, blues, etcetera, over a Marshall 30 dfx amplifier. The pickups are surprisingly sparkly with a little hum when single pickup is selected but noise cancelling when positions 2 and 4 are selected, treble sound to my taste. The pickups sound louder than the yamahas humbucker.

I umpacked from a brand new box, and the pickward and backplate not so flat fitted, so i took away one point to rate this category, the neck is smoot with my finger over it but a little fat for my taste between a Spanish acoustic gutar and the yamaha ERG 121, the body is glossy and thick well made, could be fabulous.

Im playing guitar as a hobby over 6 years, thats why i didn had buyed valves amp im not professional player, but this guitar is realy realy nice and well made im happy with it for the price payed, if it were stolen or lost, i probably want this again or look for a MIM fender standard, i love the color is between white, real daphne blue and surf green, love the pickups and the weight is light, this guitar is better far beyond the squier standards.

2007 Squier Delux Strat.
Basswood Body, C shape Maple Neck w/ 22 Frets.
Finished in Pearl White which has a hint of metalic to it. 3 ply White scratch plate. Guitar looks lovely.
I have had the nut and String trees replaced with Graphteck parts.
Tuners are pretty decent no worries there.
I have also replaced the standard duncan design pickups with two american series pickups in the neck and middle and a texas special in the bridge.
Nice chunky bridge. The only negative point i could say about this guitar when i got it was that the trem came with only two springs loaded and a spare in the gig bag.

With the pickups i have put in this strat sounds like a hot 50's Strat. The in between positions are lovely and stratty, especially between neck and middle.

This guitar played like a dream straight from the shop. The neck and intonation were great and needed only a slight adjustment for higher up the neck. The stock pickups are decent pickups, just not bright enough for the tone i was looking for. Having replaced the pickups now i feel i have a better balance of tone.
The only flaw i could see was the trem coming with only two springs loaded. Great fun for divebombs but far too light for my taste. The bridge was floating pretty high but i have now set it in the neck and had the trem set nice and firm with 3 springs in there. This is a personal preference and does not really take anything away from the guitar.

Not had the guitar too long but it feels solid and like it could take a beating. Lets face it though... all strats should manage a beating being they are the workhorse of guitars.
I am hoping to relic the guitar in the not too distant future so im not too fussed if it gets a little messed up.

I have recently switched from bass (after 12 years solid as a bass player in bands i decided to change) to guitar (although i have played guitar longer than bass). I have a mexican strat and i feel this little squier already puts that in the shade.
I would recommend anyone wanting to buy a strat goes directly to this little strat before any other. Value for money is beyond belief. This little squire will play better and have just as good hardware as most standard / american strats for much less money.
Tonal quality may be down slightly but nothing a quick pickup change cant resolve.

2008 Pearl White Metallic with one piece maple neck with 9.5" radius. Made in Indonesia. Also avail in Daphne Blue. (A great vintage color by the way since I just refinished a standard Strat with hand rubbed daphne blue nitro. Sweet.) 22 med jumbo frets. 3 Duncan designed SC-101 pups with middle reverse wound. Typical Strat 5 way switch and vol/tone/tone. Basswood body. 2 point synchro trem like on American Strats. "Ping" style tuners like on Mex Standards.

Had to write a review because I bought this sight unseen and no reviews here. Hoped it would be better quality than the cheaper Squiers at the local shop. It is! Great for blues and rock like any good Strat. Playing 40+ years and have 3 Mex Strats, 1 Mex Deluxe Powerhouse Strat(great guitar!). Bought this to leave at summer house and play 2 weeks/year. Now it's not leaving this house! Sound is a bit sharper and brighter than the 57-62 pups (hard to beat)that I put in a couple standards. About like my gold Lace Sensors but not as high output. Just what Duncan describes as between their SSL-2 and SSL-6. Quiet as any single coils. Plenty of snap and harmonics if you want. Tone control is smooth. Sounded great unplugged (always a good test.) Sounds much better than the muddy, ceramic pups on a Mex Standard for $150+ less and you probably won't need to swap them out.

WOW. Setup was perfect out of the box. Trem stays in tune almost as well as my PRS and as well as the Deluxe Powerhouse. No need to block this trem even though I seldom use one. The satin neck feels wonderful and the fingerboard is beautifully rolled at the edges with NO trace of ragged frets on the edges. Smooth as silk. Finish is without flaws. Inside it is nicely shielded with graphite paint and electronics are well soldered. Cables neatly routed and held with cable ties. No short cuts where you wouldn't see them anyway!Nicely, it has a one piece maple neck...not a glued on board. Hardware looks very sturdy. I am delighted.

Typical thick polyester finish. Should be quite durable. Strap buttons with felt washers indistinquishable from Mex/American. If it lasts like all my Fenders (bought 1st one in 68) I will be happy. I expect it will.

Playing 42 years. Have the Fenders, PRS CE 24, Yamaha, Tele, Les Paul (getting too heavy for a 55 year old!). Glad I chose this over a cheaper Squier or more expensive Mexican (esp. after necessary pup upgrade.
If you are starting or what a spare that's gig worthy, get this and a Blues Deluxe Amp and be happy.
