Ran this guitar through a Line 6 amp. The guitar shape and style suited my musical tastes as I like heavy rock etc. The guitar is extremely noisy but thankfully my amp has a built in noise gate. The neck pick up is awful
Action, Fit, & Finish

The guitar was set up very, very badly from the off and I spent some time attempting to lower the action. The problem then was that the strings hit the higher frets so I had to raise the action to avoid this. The action was just far too high to play properly. The neck is extremely rough and not to my liking at all. The paint appears to have a single coat only with no depth. I scratched the body down to the wood within an hour of owning it just by simply slightly knocking it on the side of a chair. The entire guitar feels very, very cheap and poorly made.

This guitar has no chance at all of ever lasting live playing, but it wouldnt be possible to sound good and play well with it in the first place. As I said earlier the finish is paper thin and wouldnt last 5 minutes. I wouldnt even have this guitar as the back-up
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
It came with a 12 month warranty but I would be surprised if anything would be honoured.
They have a website but I was unable to download a brochure

Ive been playing for many years and own an Epiphone 67 flying V, an Aria ZZ custom 1985 pro 2 and a Westfield Les Paul copy. I only wished I had seen and played this Stagg before buying it. The Westfield Les Paul I have was bought for the same price as the Stagg, and yet it is worlds apart. The Westfield is heavier, great action and a good sound but the Stagg is none of these things. I know it is a cheap guitar but when you can buy such a good instrument as the Westfield for the same money, I think it is simply shocking that Stagg can produce such rubbish. I would describe the Stagg as simply unplayable.
I re-sold the Stagg the very next day after having it delivered, it was that bad. However, the guy that bought it from me got it for ?50 and loves it but its his first guitar. Maybe I expected too much.
