this guitar is very versatile I play mostly classic/hard rock and blues but also some metal (no heavier than metallica's aerly stuff)
and the guiitar realy sings. I play it through a used Fender R.A.D. when i put it on a high gain setting it buzzes and gives terrible feedback (cloud be the amp because its used). it sounds best for i middle gain setting for blues/rock and can also handle jazz pretty well.

when i bought this guitar the action was perfect
Flaws: the saddle buzzes if you strumm or pick too hard
doesnt hold tune well
the volume and control knobs are on a little crooked
(nothing magor)
the neck is warped
one of the fretts were to high
(just got it filed and no more probelems)
Pros: the finish is beautiful
no probelems that couldnt be fixed

I wouldnt use this guitar as my main axe for a live show but i would definetly use it as a backup.
the hardware has lasted for four years of 6-hour jam sessions and all night playing so it is pretty durable and strong

Gold finish, mahogany solid body with Les Paul shape, Tailpiece bridge.
Sound pass through two EMG humbucker pickups, three way switch and volume/tone control for each pickup.
The tuners are non-locking, fingerboard is made of rosewood with large trapezoidal fret markers, 22 frets, the neck is glued to the body.
I think It's a 2003 model.
Not less than 10, you know, it's a copy of a legendary guitar.

I mainly purchased this guitar for some chords playing, not intended as a lead guitar but turned out to have a good tone on both situations.
I played this throug a Aria AG-20, now through a VOX PF-15 and a 5 watt tube amp. It's not noisy, but at the same time it does not have so much sustain.
The variety of sounds availables are good with separate volume and tone control for each pickup. When both are on, playing with the volume of one effectively alters the tone. You have a big territory to move on between the bridge and the neck sound. Again, it's a Les Paul design so it's gonna be working the right way!
Even with the neck pickup the sound never becomes wooly and you can hear individual notes. I'll give it a 7, cause it happened to record the sound during some rehearsals and was quite satisfactory.

It's a L320-GD, Gold color. (Gold not goldtop, you'll read more later)
The guitar came with the worst set-up a man can think of. Shipped with a set of 0.10 strings. The quality of the mechanic is quite poor. Very soon the bridge and the tailpiece started to show oxydation. The bridge has 2 saddles that actually don't fix well and it leads to a rattle when playing the open string. Seems to be defective materials rather than poor assembly.
Also the pickups are poorly mounted. They are oblique by a well amount of degrees!
The finish is poor. Even if you've never seen a goldtop, you'll notice this finish is a mixture of gold and orange. The result in my opinion is horrible. Buy it white or black i suggest.
The tuners are really really cheap. Actually i cannot play a bend on G or B strings cause they'll get out of tune by about 20 cents.
The fretting is something ridicolous. The strings plays note out of tune all along the fingerboard.
The controls are good. They works good, have a real impact on tone.
In conclusion you can be lucky and find a well made guitar or unlucky like me and find a such number of flaws that turn this intrument in an unplayable piece of wood.

After a month or so, the guitar fell down and hitted my ZOOM 606 with the bottom side of the body before i grab it again (shitty strap). But survived quite well, yes two lines on jack side but the wood is ok.
The finish will surely last, It's quite heavy polyurethane paint.
It's solid in my hands, nothing gave me the impression that was going to broke. After 18 months is still _fully_ working (what was working).

I bought this from a German seller, so no warranty for the item. BTW I asked the shop two tech questions after the purchase and they've never answered me.

I've been playing guitar by 7 years now, I feel basic features of a guitar are actually missing on this model.
Poor manpower, neck very quickly started to curve (guitar always kept in bag) and so i got intonation problems.
It has good things for that price. It sounds good, when you're not touching its weak points. I see these guitars are sold for 320-330 euros in shops here.
I played another Stagg (telecaster copy) and had similar flaws. An unfinished fingerboard and a contol plate that don't fix to the body.
But I prefer an overall mediocre guitar that a nice guitar with such big flaws.

The rep at the show said the top was maple Im not sure if its solid. 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way switch. 2 hum buckers. passive electronics. Body is Mahogony and It appears that the neck is as well. Yhe top is a pretty good three tone cherry burst.body and neck appear to be a stain og clear varnish. Les Paul Copy Body quite heavy. Tune o matic bridge w?stop tail piece. the tumers are kind of a fade jade maybe. but well done. neck is quite chunky and solid. fretboard is rosewood with cheao plastic inlay markers. med-jumbo frets. and bound body neck and head stock.

Im not sure what style you would call it. there is a good bit of blues to it. but alot of southern rock. other stuff beatles, mac fleetwood. it sounds very good over all. Im thinking of switching the pick ups. but Im not sure i can improve on them without spending a load of money.

Factory setup oh like military inteligence? If there was a factory setup done it would be ok to flog the one responsible. (can I say that here?) there was no attempt made to set this guitar up untill it got to me. Im suprised the Wire intended to be strings was even on the guitar. The post holes for the bridge and tail poles were routed to large,(they acually fell out when I removed the strings.)

Ive only played for about a year. I have a wonderful 2000 USA strat I cant believe its mine, my boss sold it to me for almost nothing because of my interest in guitar. right now, the others epi sg special, Harmony (a real pos played it once for 10 minutes TORTURE begins to describe those minutes) Yamaha f-400 Acoustic. micro cube, fender bronco II.
Overall this is a solid guitar. Its as if they started laid a great foundation and forgot what they were doing. The boy neck and hardware are all of Good quality. and I have had on loan some of the most incredable guitars gibsons and fenders US made. The hardwares not to that standard but it is very good.
The Items that had to be adressed. 1. Set up Had the best tech in Dallas working on it for about 3 hours. 2. epoxy the post in the routing was too large but not to bad. 3.Major issue input jack sucks replace it. 4. three way switch isnt much better replase it next.
Once I had done those things it is a remarkably great guitar. If you dont mind the extra expense of getting it set up well. the binding is very good as well as the tuners it stays in tune better than most. Maybe as good as my strat. I bought this because I was couldnt afford the real thing and wanted a set neck Paul copy. The pickups sound good enough that I can tell i do have to have a real les paul.
THE INLAYS SUCK. they should have done better or left them off.
My rating for this catagory are after setup and repair

It sounds great, I can't really hear the difference with a Epiphone LP (I recorded with both) on a Line6 Spider II and a line6 Flextone II

Well, as i said the hardware is lame. The jack-plug needs to be tidend every day. The potmeters are crooked. The tuning mechanism distunes every 5 songs, but hey, it's tune-o-matic. There is fretbuzz at several places. And the fine-tuning isn't good, when I tune the strings on the 12th fret are not quit right. The pickups weren't adjusted and the neck pickup is not precisly under the strings.

It suits the music that i enjoy, making tones from brit pop to metal.
Im using it with a Marshell MD10 and no effects. It is a average noiselike. Sounds can be of a wide varity but makes a good Les Paul bright sound. I like the sound and have found no problems as a begginer guitartist.

Overall only an good guitar set up, the pickups are wobbly but that is the only fault, the guitar has good machine heads and switches and knobs are all solid. There is also a tiny gap on the back where the neck and body of the guitar meet.

I dont know how it would withstand live playing as i have never played live but it very solid. The hardware also is very solid and good looking. The finnish is the only worry but it is laminated so i think it will look good and the stap buttons are also solid, i wouldnt use it without backup because it was cheap for what it is. But i do depend on it.

I just bought this guitar a week ago brand new. I believe they are produced somewhere in Europe, U.K. maybe. This guitar is a 22 fret, veined arch top w/ binding and solid alder body. It has 2 volume and 2 tone knobs. 2 humbucker pickups with 3 way toggle switch. Tune-O-matic bridge and cluson style machine heads. This particular guitar is a goth model and it has a flat black finish. Maple neck with rosewood fret board.
Sound

This guitar is a LP copy that I use for playing blues. I currently run it through a Marshall MG-10 practice amp but play it through a freinds 5150 combo when ever possible. It has a rich and beautiful sound. With the turn of the tone knobs I can take it from bright and clear all the way down to diving into the mud. I have found nothing I dislike about this guitar.

I don't know about set-up from the factory as my local shop goes through everything and resets before seling. However, I brough it home, plugged it in and played for hours. It was set up perfectly for the way I play(this could be because the guys at the shop know me). Finish appears to be an apoxy type. Could be paint but it seems as strong as steel. The only thing I changed were the strings as the ones that came with it were junk. I put a set of black diamond coated strings on it and it sounds beautiful. All hardware was perfect!
Reliability/Durability

I have never played a live gig but I play this thing for hours on end with no problems. The pickup toggle switch seems a bit loose when choosing between pickups but I won't change this until it breaks completely. As I said above, the finish on this guitar is like steel. I think it could survive a bomb blast. Straps and buttons are good. I don't gig but if I did I would never go without a backup guitar no matter what I was using as my main axe. You'd have to be stupid to do that.

I;ve been playing for about 1 year. I own 1 other guitar, a Washburn Mercury MG-74 along with a Mauestro Stage Phaeser. I would 100% buy it again if it were stolen! I love this thing! I hate the fact that the toggle is sloppy but I can deal with it for now. I knew nothing about Stagg until I had seen this guitar at my local shop. I played this guitar and bought it on the spot.
