I don't know when this guitar was made, propably around 2005 though.
Features : 22 frets, 2 x volume, 2 x tone, 3 way selector. The pickups are Stagg (humbuckers) as are the tuners which keep very good tune.
This guitar is solid and feels it, very good finish.
The neck is quite fat but has a nice feel to it. This is my first guitar and I am very pleased with it, I have tried others such as Ibanez and haven't been as impressed as with my Les Paul Copy.
THe only probelm i have with this guitar is that the neck joins the body at the 14th fret so the 5th and 6th strings last few frets are annoying to get to.

Sound : No Opinion
The sound is awesome, I play on a Roland Cube-15 practice Amp and a 125 watt Fender Princeton Chorus, it gives a very nice rich sound on both of these.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
From new the action was fine, I had no problems at all. the 1st strings bridge needed a bit of a rubing down though.
The body-work is fine apart from a pec of red paint on the neck-body joint on the thin strip where the frets are marked with small black dots.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This will definantly withstand live playing, it's a solid guitar..but a bit heavy. The finish is glossed over and nothing is going to happen to it.
The star buttons are good but the do wear loose, like other guitars I suppose,

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
Great guitar, good finish, excellent sound quality. If it was stolen I would try to get another one, definantly.

10 made in china supposedly,.. or so the little sticker said on the back of the headstock... features the same as a les paul 2 tone 2 volume, 3 way switch, dual humbuckers.... gold hardware, the stuff youd expect basically from a les paul i also got mine with a gig bag!!!

Sound : 10
we play punk/power pop. it suits the style perfectly. i play through a boss ns-2 noise supressor and a peavey XXL head with a budget cab made by legion sound (which is another good knock off brand btw) no noise, sounds GREAT and the clean tone is indicative of an expensive guitar! our rhythm guitarist has a gibson les paul studio and he loves my guitar! He swears that if he closed his eyes, hed think he was playing the same guitar!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
action is pretty low, doesnt need to be adjusted, but i suppose you can if you're REALLY into that sort of thing... teh pick up s are amazing... everything was great right out of the store. the only defect was a tiny nick on the side but is BARELY noticable

Reliability/Durability : 10
great for playing live, very sturdy, the body is solid and heavy, doesnt feel flimsy at all like some other knock offs ive played on... i own an ibanex RG series guitar and an ESP Eclipse... but this Stagg is definately gonna be my main guitar for my shows comin up!

Customer Support : No Opinion
havent used it

Overall Rating : 10
been playing about 6 years,... i would definately buy this guitar again,.. or maybe another style by stagg.... im considering one of their acoustics,.. but i wanna try em first

i'm not sure where stagg make their guitars but this is a decent les paul copy. sure everything about it is a bottom of the market copy of gibson but they all work. i believe the body is mahogany or another similarly dense wood the neck is rose wood or so i'm told and the finish is rather nice, mines is a gloss black finish. Standard controls for a les paul 2 volume, 2 tone and a 3-way selector. Occasionaly you may need to adjust the plug point it becomes a bit loose from time to time but is just a case a screwing it back.

Sound : 8
the sound is just like any other les paul, well almost. i run it through a zoom gfx 5 effects board and a marshall dfx15 amp. remember a crap guitar is only crap on a crap amp. good amps make this guitar very satisfying.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The guitar will need a bit of tweaking when you get it. Action is easily adjusted although dont mess with it if you'r not sure what you're meant to be doing. Pickups i have to say were well adjusted when i got the guitar although after time they will need done. my only concern was with the bridge i often got a rattle-like buzz from it but i got my hands on an old gibson bridge which sorted that problem.

Reliability/Durability : 8
for the price i paid (#129) this guitar is lasting well plus at a cheap price like that you arent too worried about it, i find that aspect relaxing instead of worrying about whose touching my guitar. All the strap buttons are solid as are the controls.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to use it.

Overall Rating : 9
A good price for a decent guitar cant complain too much

A very good Les Paul custom copy, made somewhere in east Asia i belive... Almost 100% Gibson copy, beautiful peace of art (copy :-) Got two very good HBs, beautiful bodywork, nice headsock (for me it looks bether tham Gibson),metal parts are gold, set neck, beutiful cherry red sunburst... Body was made of alder, neck i think mahogany (but can be mahogany like colored maple or alder), freetboard is rosewood. It's heavy like LP should be. I was looking for a long time for good and cheap LP copy, i tried Epiphone, SX, AXL, and many more that i even don't recall, and this is the best thing in my opinion that you can get. I've got Yamaha Pacifica 604w, and i was looking for guitar with a darker but not muddy sound. And i got it :-)

Sound : 9
I play blues, hard rock, 80' metal (whitesnake, Scorpions,Maiden, etc..), some country stuff, and this guitar is really all around. I'm using Leany MXR65w amp, and some boss pedals. There is no noise at all, and no microphonic. You can get relly good clean sound out of this thing (it's HB don't forget!).Neck pup is little darker than bridge so you can't get sprakly hights like from single coil.It suits more for gibson sounding stuff like gary moore, santana,LynSky,queen etc...
Bridge pup is really rocker, very balanced sounding, strong... You can get sounds from country to hevy metal.Classic LP sound, it's sounds like alnico magnet... Output is somthing about 9K. No need for changing pickups...maybe neck pup i'm gonna change with some Kent Armstrong vintage, that is a little more clear sounding than the orginal Lp pup.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Out of box guitar was very playable, i only lowered strings. Pickups were good adjusted, there was no flaws. Tihis guitar is made very, very good, you can't belive how good for the money. It looks like 3 times expencive guitar.Electronic is also very good, all cables are doble shielded, and graphitte spray is aplayed from inside )factrory shielding!) nice :-)

Reliability/Durability : 9
You can't break so easy this guitar, it will last for long time, it's very strong and massive. Strap buttons looks strong, you can relly depemd on it. I gig few times now with it with no problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I don't need this :-) (for now)

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 15 years, and i know what good guitar is, this guitar is relly winner for me. I used to have gibson SG, and it did't sound so good like this Stagg Lp. I bought it becouse i was looking for good back up guitar for my Yamaha Pacifica 604w ,... but it seems like now this Stagg will be first choice axe!
