ok so, first of all this guitar i better than people say. Ive had this guitar for about 2 years, klusen tuners, solid mahogany body, and a rosewood fretboard. It sucks? ummmmm no, please read the rest of my review.
Sound
:

The sound is great for a beginner. that said, throw some gfs dream 90's in it and you got yourself an amazing sounding guitar. i love it and after i got my new pickups it is great for my blues and classic rock band i use this guitar and my kramer which i also refinished for fun. they both sound great. buy your pickups from guitarfetish.com

Any GOOD guitarist will obviously set his own guitar up. Many of these loser guys who have nothing better to do will say this guitar is trash. YOU HAVE TO SET YOUR GUITAR UP WHEN YOU GET IT QUEERS! it doesnt magically set itself up. the finish wasnt up to snuff after a year, so i re-finished it.

This guitar is the most solidly made guitar i have had in a while. It would hurt you if it fell on you haha.

it is a les paul and has a great neck profile. I only had it for 3 weeks now, and its perfoming realy well.
Sound
:

I play gunsn n roses songs so its perfect for the channel switching, i keep the neck on ow volume so it is not as distorted but then when i want distortion on i switch to bridge pickup. It has a great tone real les paul sound [ive played a gibson in a shop]. It gets quite loud when you want it to.

The action is really good the company i got it off set it up for me before they posted it so its at abotu 55 thousandths which is good. The colour is tobacco sunburst for vintage rock it looks great on stage.

Its had its fair share of dings but the sound is not affected, i use strat locks because im a bit paranois but it is solidly built no faults that i can see.

the action was crap wen i got but i dunno how it was at first. i got it from ma dads friend. once i messed about and tweeked the bridge and stuff the action was pretty damn good however the low E still buzzes and it wont go away without makin it a mile off the fret board. i think its pretty good for the price. its bloody heave tho. DONT BUY IT IF U PLAN ON CARRYING IT A LOT

its really solid. nothing has broken on it AT ALL and thats includin me droppin it few times and hittin it into stuff but thats probably beacause its made of steel or summat cuz it weighs a ton.

No indication of the year at all. I suppose recently.(2005??) in china (suppose also...)
Low archtop standard "l" electric guitar - pickups : 2x humbucker- controls: 2x volume + 2x tone - pu selector: 3-way toggle switch - top: low archtop - body: solid alder wood - neck: hard maple / 628mm / glued - fingerboard: rosewood / 22 frets - bridge: tune-o-matic - machine heads: diecast, chrome - colour: black.
Included only the cable and the allen key.
Quite heavy
Sound

My style is undefined, so it suits me quite good. Using it with a computer, with logic audio and vst plugins, including ampli emulators, so i can design my own sound.
No microphonic with this use. No buzz. Sound is clean, but no much variation playing with the knobs

The guitar was NO SETUP AT ALL. It was the worst thing I've ever played. Two hours trying to adjust it. The wires they call strings, vibrate against the fret in a horrible mode. Tne fret, without setup at all.
The bridge also, and of course, the "strings" out of tune.
Controls where almost ok, the pic up selector is crappy, but the plug jack is really ok.
In the other hand, the finish is really good, the only fault, the cheap plastic inserts in the fret, but the paint is really very good (a brilliant black epoxy type or something similar)
So, 0 for the setup, 9 for the finish, 4,5 total
Reliability/Durability
:

it seems quite solid, the painting would survive till the end of the world, probably. The strap buttons seem ok, but I'll change in a couple of days for strapons...
The machine tunnings seem pretty rubish...

Have it only for a week, I own also an strat copy, so not much job for it.
If it was stolen, I think the thief is idiot... There are expensive guitars, so bar affaire to steal a cheap one.
I like the brilliant black finish.
I think its a good guitar for this price. Probably not for hard use, but for second guitar. And maybe it admit some hardware tunning.

I play rock, grunge and metal, and it sucks for everyone of my styles. If there are any beginners looking for their first guitar reading this: get a Dean Vendette 1.0, for 170$. The pick-ups are crap, the hardware is crap(is made out of too soft metal). Its a thin, crappy sound. I play it over a roland cube 60, and with my ibanez it sounds fine, so my amp isn't the reason of the crappy sound.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

The guitar was setup poorly, i had to set it up all over(my english may suck, i'm dutch), the strings ratle against te fretboard. The fretboard wood realy sucks, you can't bend a string as you would normally do. The finish wasn't great either. It doesn't hold tune at all, the intonation(I don't know what "intonatie" is in english) was terrible.
Reliability/Durability
:

The wood sucks, the pickups suck, it's only usable for the fireplace. After 3 days a strap button broke. It isn't usable as main guitar, not as backup, and the hardware is made out of too soft metal.

Didn't deal with them, don't want to either.

It sucks, if you want a good starters guitar, get a dean vendetta 1.0, and a roland cube 15/30 as a amp.

I don't know why you'd even consider one of these if you are a stateside buyer with access to things like Agiles and Nelsonics. In my guitar collection, I own a total-crap Japanese toy-noise guitar. The fretboard on that guitar feels like scraping yr nails on chalkboard. I think that's kind of entertaining in a guitar I picked up for $20 ten years ago, but the fingerboard on the Stagg I checked out today was *worse*. Try and bend a string and you'll get that lovely SKREEEEEEE feeling across your fingertips. Heck, try and finger a bar chord and you'll feel it. I don't know if this is due to finish, fret dressing, or the quality of the fretboard wood. All I know is that it feels extremely cheap and unpleasant in a way that somehow eludes even the $99 Epiphone "Pauls" out there. Other than that, the Stagg seemed reasonably well put together. But there are faaaaaar better choices in the cheap-Paul-copy sector-- and they don't have that unbelievably gaudy glued-on gold badge on the headstock. Check out the Agiles and Nelsonics. They're both really fantastic axes and they cost just about the same as this atrocity.

Da muss man schon 15x soviel hinlegen.

Bought this guitar new off ebay. Has 22 frets, 2 volume, 2 tone - all the standard Les Paul parts and features. VERY nice finish for the price paid. Good actions, no buzz. Good copies of the Gibson tuners, hard to tell the difference. I'm actually very impressed with the all features of this guitar - good buy.

I've been playing for over 10 years and have owned a multitude of guitars. This one isn't the best but it's definatly not the worse either. I can honestly say that I was smiling when I first plugged it in because I thought it was going to sound like total crap and it actually sounds "good". I can play great hardrock and blues styles with it. Jazz and reggae are ok sounding. It's a great all around guitar.

The guitar is a very close LP copy. That said - It's heavy! Probably helps the tone out but doesn't help your shoulder at all. The finish is good, everything overall good. Just heavy. Strap buttons? I don't know what any guitar comes with these. I got strap locks for mine.

If this got stolen, I'd try to find it again. This is the best LP copy you can buy for the money. Forget Epiphone - it's Gibson owned too. Your still paying for name. You broke but want a playable guitar? GET THIS ONE.

It's crazy how cheap this guitar is for what you get out of it. I don't like the weight of it and it's not going to be "a dream" guitar. Buts a damn good backup or basic all around guitar that you can play the hell out of and not worry about little scratches and stupid stuff that happens when you play guitar. Great Buy!

Okay, I bought this guitar for #100 in my local guitar shop. First Impressions where very good, it has a three way selector switch, each with its own volume and tone controls, two humbucker pickups. Laminate body. Not sure of materials used in neck etc

I play mainly acoustic stuff, i am not into riffs and the like. The tone on this guitar is nice, just nice, it has a full, deep tone, but can play lovely clean aswell, and with distortion which I wouldnt use as regularly as i would like. So no probs with sound.

This guitar, as great as i have made it sound, will not withstand a great lot of abuse. I have only owned it for the guts of 4 months and already the strap button is loose and cannot be tightened. I would not reliy on this guitar for live gigs without a back up, but perfect for practice,

Bought new. 22 frets, 2 humbucklers, 2 volume & tone controls. Neck glued on. Gothic black. Pretty much a good look alike of the LP Black Beauty. Everythying generally from the cheap end of market (pick ups and machine heads) but looks the part and holds up well.

I play all sorts of music live, though prefer rock / metal. Have to turn volumes down to maintain a clean sound. Between the 2 volume and tone controlls, gives enough variety to cover a multitude of styles but is at it's best when rocking. Find it a bit too bass orinetated and muffled at times. Using V-Amp2 and zoom effects live. Plenty of sustain on solos.

Set up OK but had to adjust pick ups. Action not too bad either, but can't adjust lower due to fret buzz. Solid enough with no obvious flaws and survives my gigging. Intonation problem with B string from about 8th fret up. Sounds out of tune when playing but sounds fine when playing open. No tinkering with set up has remedied problem.
Machine heads cheap and have replaced.

I gig 3-4 times a week and use this as main guitar. So far has stood up to the punishment I put it through. Find I have to adjust pick ups weekly as the screws have an unnatural ability to unscrew thenselves.
Strap buttons solid and show no signs of falling out but I only use it with a a back up - a Westone rainbow - still plays nice but starting to show wear and tear.

Always wanted a GibsonLP but out of price range - especially for what I use it for. The ESP's are OK but for 100 quid, felt I couldn't go wrong. Quite enjoy playing it and holds tuning generally well even when bending strings like crazy. Gets used all the time and, so far, has done well. Excellent guitar for beginners or for those who want to shredd guitar live without worrying ebout the price of the guitar they are playing.
